"I'm sorry, buddy."
From the album: Termination Media
A Police Dog Handler with Lakeview County Police takes aim at a deer who was struck by a vehicle, and left suffering on the side of the road. Lakeview County Fish and Wildlife authorized the police to terminate the deer, as they were still a while away from the scene, and the deer was not believed to be able to be saved. It's believed the deer spent at least an hour on the side of the road with numerous injuries. "If you hit wildlife, stop and call us." says Conservation Officer Ken Vinesh. "There's no repercussion for striking wildlife. At least if it's out of your control." "To leave an animal to suffer for an extended period of time is nothing short of cruel. The sooner we can euthanize the animal, the better. It's sad, but they shouldn't have to suffer." -

Operator K. Wright is the first female officer to successfully pass the Lakeview County Tactical Operations Course and was coronated into the Tactical team on Friday Afternoon. "It wasn't easy." says Wright. "They push you to the absolute limit. It was nothing like the patrol academy." After the countless hours spent running, climbing, shooting, and lost sleep, the Lakeview County Police graduated six new applicants into the Tactical team, after an initial pool of twenty. "The course is designed to break the unfit. Those who break don't make it past. That's the goal, though, because we can't have our team members break under pressure." said Inspector T. Charles "Having a female pass the course is exciting, and we obviously never limit our applicant pool to males. We're excited to bring Operator Wright into the team and to work along side us. She proved herself just as every other member has." Wright spent a total of six years working in the police service. Two of those with Lakeview County. As for other females looking to join into Tactical; "Go for it." she says. "It's painful, it's stressful, but just as I proved myself, so can you." With the Lakeview Newswatch, I'm Jack Schmidt. -

Lakeview County 911 Telecommunications received an emergency call shortly after 7 PM last night, after an alleged hit and run took place just outside of Los Santos. Crews from Lakeview County Police, Fire, and Medical Director attended the scene, where a male was located in the middle of the roadway. Traffic was stopped completely as other motorists attempted to assist the man. According to witnesses, a black two-door sports vehicle was travelling down the roadway, where the man was walking along the side of the road. The vehicle struck the man, stopped for a brief moment, and then sped off. The man was transported to hospital by Medical Director crews, while City of Los Santos Police and Lakeview County Police attempt to piece together how exactly this incident occurred. As of right now, Police are asking anyone who may have seen this incident to contact them immediately with information. "It's believed that motorists travelling in the opposite lanes may have seen the event, and we'd like to speak with them to gain some more information." Investigator T. Whitley says. Anyone with information is urged to call CrimeSTOPPERS or their local Lakeview County Police and Protective Services District Office. -

Could be a variety of reasons. A rambar has many more purposes than what we like to imagine. Anchor points for ropes to climb down to trapped individuals from, to push disabled vehicles off of the road, to protect from front-end damage due to wildlife, collisions, etc. Depends on the local needs of the area that's served. It's better to have equipment on the trucks that you may not use very often, than to need it later on and be stuck thinking 'why didn't we add this.'

These two lovebirds met somewhere along the highway... oh, wait, this is a pursuit, not a couples photoshoot! Lakeview County Park Rangers were called in to assist in a pursuit early this morning. Just after 7 AM; Lakeview County Police were dispatched to a call for a vehicle that was driving recklessly. Officers were able to intercept, but the operator of the vehicle started to flee. Traffic conditions and liability being low; Supervisors permitted a pursuit to ensue, with the assistance of the Air Unit. "During the Pursuit, we were able to call upon our local Park Rangers, who have specially equipped push bumpers, that are effective for their work in the parks, but also give them an advantage in pursuits; such as the one we had earlier today." said Sergeant J. Peters The Park Rangers are specifically trained in PIT tactics, and their vehicles are more capable of the manoeuvre. The suspect was successfully immobilized and Police were able to take the suspect into custody without further incident after the Park Ranger succeeded in the PIT. -

The operator did not have any fish in the vehicle, however did admit they were in the day-use area with intention to fish, before realizing the ban was in place and leaving. -
Coordinate
From the album: Termination Media
Lakeview County Park Rangers, Fish and Wildlife, and Police Services were called to a popular fishing area just after five this morning for a report of a cougar sighting. Members coordinated a short distance away from the last sighting of the cougar as to how they were going to attempt to isolate the incident. Shortly after six, members were able to confirm the cougar was spotted, and they ultimately ended up tranquilizing the animal, before then caging it and taking it back to an isolated wooded area to be released. -
So; you want to be an officer?

A local man was given a front row seat to policing this morning, however; this is no honorary Constable story. Paleto Bay RCMP launched an investigation on Saturday night, after a vehicle had attempted to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle using flashing red and blue lights. Unfortunately for that individual, the person they were about to stop was an off-duty member of the RCMP heading to work. According to police, the member did ultimately pull over, and the alleged suspect continued driving on, later turning off the lights. "Our member was able to obtain a licence plate and identify the vehicle." said Sergeant Bonne of the Paleto Bay Detachment. The vehicle; a black Ford Crown Victoria, which was previously a police vehicle, was not an actual police car, anymore, at least. "The suspect ultimately obtained the vehicle on the public market, and outfitted the vehicle with various police equipment items; including the police lights." The next mistake the man made was, returning to his registered address. "Our members immediately attended the residence shortly after shift start, where the same vehicle was located. The member who the man tried to stop was the primary investigator and was also attending." states Bonne. "These incidents are very dangerous for us, and the public. We don't know what this mans intentions would have been." "Not everyone likes us, either. Various scenarios could have played out on both the suspects side, and the victims side." Bonne says. As for the man who is suspected of the crime, he faces an inside look at the judicial system, with charges pending before the justice, including Personating a Peace Officer Operation of a Motor Vehicle causing danger Operating a Motor Vehicle at speeds greater than the posted speed limit Possession of Police Items with intent to Impersonate The man will be identified later, but for now, he remains in jail awaiting release. The vehicle has been pulled from the streets and remains as evidence. "It will later be destroyed, along with the equipment inside, to prevent this from happening again by the same suspect." As for those who do want to be a police officer, Bonne says, the RCMP is actively hiring, and the easiest way to step into the shoes of an officer is to simply apply. "Regardless of his intentions, if he wanted to become a member of the police so badly; it would have saved him plenty of cash and effort to apply to become a regular member of the RCMP." Mike Litoris reporting from Paleto Bay Channel 7 News -

Paleto Bay RCMP and the City of Los Santos RCMP both issued an AMBER alert after a father called police alleging that his ex-wife had abducted their shared child. The child was described as a nine year old girl, last seen wearing a pink tank-top, and blue jeans. The complainants ex-wife was on visitation, and it's alleged that while the father had left for a washroom break, the female had left the house with the child. RCMP were called to the home around 9:00 PM Friday. The AMBER alert was issued shortly after 9:30 PM. At around 10:40 PM, RCMP in Paleto Bay observed a vehicle which matched the description of the suspects vehicle travelling towards the town. The member who observed the vehicle promptly stopped the vehicle and was able to confirm the suspects identity, and verify the safety of the child. A Los Santos RCMP member responded to the scene to accept custody of the suspect, and child services ultimately accepted custody of the child, before transporting and releasing her to her father. Tracie Jolene TRAVIS of Paleto Bay is facing various charges under the Criminal Code for; Abducting a Minor Contravention of a Court Order Contravention of Conditions surrounding Child Custody Improper Care of a Minor TRAVIS is expected to appear in the Provincial Court in Los Santos next Monday. -

Could have been easy
From the album: Termination Media
An RCMP Corporal begins walking a suspect back to his patrol vehicle after the suspect had fled from members on a traffic stop about two hours prior. Having been driving carelessly, members were forced to retract from pursuit and cancel; Air 1 followed the vehicle from above, where eventually members were able to close in and surround the suspects vehicle without incident. The male, not identified as of now, is facing charges for numerous offences, including careless operation of a motor vehicle, resisting lawful arrest, assault on a peace officer, flight from a peace officer, and numerous other traffic offences. -
Realism Dispatch Enhanced
Honestly; it depends entirely on your system specs. Personally, I saw no real performance hit due to the additions that RDE has, and I have all of the additional addons installed as well. If you're already running car mods in the already available slots with no performance loss, I see no reason why you'd encounter anything major by installing RDE.

From the album: Termination Media
An RCMP Corporal stopped this driver after they had "brake checked" the member. During the stop, the Corporal noticed various signs of impairment, and at one point, while out of the vehicle with the driver, the driver began to walk down the side of the road. "This particular stretch of road is very notorious for vehicle collisions." Sergeant Bonne of the Paleto Bay Detachment stated. "We've ramped up traffic enforcement on the highway, and we're encountering many intoxicated drivers." One thing to take into account, is the safety of the officers and the drivers. "Walking away from the members that have you stopped, on a busy highway, is like a death sentence." said Bonne. "What her intentions were are unclear, whether she was attempting to get harmed, or confused, is still not determined." She was brought to local health care facility for mental health assessment the next morning, after she had sobered. She awaits trial for Operation while Impaired as well as Attempt to Elude a Peace Officer. -
