  1. The behavior of the crash in the video you posted appears to be an ELS crash (or a script error of some sort, seeing how you have so many mods). Can you please check for this? To do so, go to Control PanelSystem and SecurityAction CenterReliability Monitor, right-click on any intance that was a GTAIV.exe crash, and press "View technical details," then press "Copy to clipboard" on the bottom and paste the error log here. Additionally, please run the diagnostic tool and post the diagnostic log to check if there are any missing components and/or script errors. Hopefully, we can assist you further and get the mod working for you!
  2. Your report shows up clean, but I see that you have Windows XP SP3. Make sure that you have the latest Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Client and Extended) and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 coding environment libraries. Also, since you are using Windows XP, make sure you are running the game on an administrator account, as you cannot run programs "as admin," which is only for Windows Vista and Windows 7.
  3. This indicates that the mod tried to reference script instructions in AdvancedHook.dll, but couldn't. You can try reinstalling Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Client and Extended) and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 to see if they help, as failure for scripts to be executed may mean missing/corrupted coding environment libraries. Also, make sure that you have right-clicked on LaunchGTAIV.exe, clicked on "Properties" in the drop-down menu, went to the "Compatibility" tab, and then checked "Run program as Administrator" near the bottom to allow it to run with administrator priveledges for every instance you launch the game (i.e. DO NOT simply right-click and press "Run as Administrator," which will only work the one time you press it). After posting your diagnostics log using the please make sure that all the mod's files are in your game's folders (i.e. the mod installed successfully).
  4. Yes, I know! I've been playing with it since it came out! I like the new features in 0.95 RC2, but I like the more stable and performance-friendly 1.0.4.0 version of GTA IV. So, I've made a compromise that makes me happy: play GTA IV 1.0.4.0 with 0.95 Beta 1 and EFLC 1.1.2.0 with 0.95 RC2. That way, I can switch between the two whenever I want, since they have the same mods installed and have almost everything (except the Indicator script, for example) working in both games. But hopefully, there will be a version someday that will work on all versions of GTA IV and EFLC. I haven't encountered that flashlight problem before with using the LCPD:FR's flashlight. I rarely used it before since it was very unrealistic and unhelfpul, and now never again since I've discovered Flashlights 4 Weapons, which works wonders and moves with the gun! The LCPD:FR one only illuminates the ground around me, whereas this one acts as if a flashlight is attached to your weapon, which is sweet! To make it more realistic, I've modified all the positions in the flashlight.ini configuration file so that the lights come directly from the underbarrel flashlight attachments of the gun models that I use, increasing realism! I took a lot of time doing it through trial and error, but it was all worth it in the end! Lastly, I have seen the error about "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" a myriad of times. It comes nonstop if you authorize lethal force when in a chase, and will only stop if you either unauthorize lethal force or kill the suspect. I think this error has something to do with the mod setting the suspect to start shooting at the police or something, as all pursuits that were supposed to turn into shootings as well never did, and the police usually never shoot at the suspect's vehicle while in pursuit. However, I don't have it when pulling someone over, as your error originates from, and I don't believe I have errors with any other mission other than the suicide missions. Again, they don't generate script errors, just initiate an infinite supply of police cars until the game crashes. There used to be key customizations in the .ini configuration file, but those options were taken away ever since verison 0.95 came out. And also, the new features with a menu for "E" that includes holding suspects, frisking suspects, etc. only appears for the 0.95 RC2 version. (I thought you were still trying out the 0.95 Beta 1 version?) In 0.95 Beta 1, you can only frisk peds using the old method, which is by pressing "ALT+R," and then "Y."
  5. Please and post the resulting diagnostics log. For your information, right-clicking on LaunchGTAIV.exe (or any other program, for that matter) and pressing "Run as Administrator" will only allow administrative access for that one particular instance, which means that you'll have to do that every time you want to play the game. Instead, right-click on LaunchGTAIV.exe, click on "Properties" in the drop-down menu, go to the "Compatibility" tab, and then check "Run program as Administrator" near the bottom. Hopefully we can get the mod working for you!
  6. Great! Glad to hear you got it working! Have fun!
  7. Have you any other mods installed (i.e. script mods, ASI mods, etc.)? Also, please note that what the console says about ELS is meaningless, since it no longer properly detects ELS at the moment. For the sake of troubleshooting, can you also run the and post up the diagnostics log? There may be script errors or other things missing that you are not aware of. Hopefully, we can assist you further after you post additional information to your problem.
  8. If you saved your game while using XLiveLess (xlive.dll), then your games saves were all saved to C:UsersUSERNAMEDocumentsRockstar GamesGTA IVSavegames, and can be loaded without GFWL checking to see if they're connected with your account. Once you stop using that, your saves will be loaded from and saved to the game's default directory, which is C:UsersUSERNAMEAppDataLocalRockstar GamesGTA IVSavegames. Note that you cannot play with saved games from other users and those saved when using XLiveLess on the default game, but the opposite is true when you do use XLiveLess. If you deleted xlive.dll, then this is why you cannot load your saved games anymore. Personally, I have never had any issues whatsoever using both dsound.dll and xlive.dll at the same time—in fact, they appear to make my game more stable (i.e. less prone to crashes) when used together, contrary to what others here will tell you. You can try to use xlive.dll instead of dsound.dll, but keep in mind that xlive.dll disables any and all online features.
  9. You are using 0.95 RC2, I presume? If so, you just have to face the trunk and press "E." Else, in 0.95 Beta 1, for example, you press "F4" to open the trunk.
  10. Have you any other mods installed, such as car mods, texture/graphics mods, etc.? Your computer doesn't look like it can take anything more than just LCPD:FR. Also, have you tried using xlive.dll as your ASI loader instead of dsound.dll? Lastly, are you running the game as administrator (Right-clicked on LaunchGTAIV.exe, clicked on "Properties" in the drop-down menu, went to the "Compatibility" tab, and then checked "Run program as Administrator" near the bottom.)? Lastly, have you tried reinstalling both Micrisoft .NET Framework 4 and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010? I ask this since you did not upgrade to Windows 7 Service Pack 1, which may indicate that you don't have all the updates installed... This error usually indicates a problem with the scripts executing a command, which may be a result of not having all the necessary libraries of .NET and Visual C++. So that's another reason to make sure that your computer and programming libraries are all up-to-date.
  11. I've done a myriad of testing with different versions of ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi, and LCPD:FR, and I've posted most of my findings here already. I think I've stated this before, but 0.95 RC2 can actually run relatively well on 1.0.4.0, and it doesn't crash when entering a police station as you said (at least not for me). So if you crash entering a police station, you still have some incompatible files. The only time it does actually crash is when I try to arrest someone, due to the code being rewritten from 0.95 Beta 1. I've tried frisking, handing out tickets to parked cars, etc., basically all functions of LCPD:FR 0.95 RC2, and only arresting ever causes a script error. All vehicles, backups, etc. spawn correctly. Arresting works in 0.95 Beta 1, and that version has almost no problems on 1.0.4.0, except for the suicide missions. The suicide missions don't work for any version of LCPD:FR on 1.0.4.0, and usually causes police cars to spawn like crazy until the game crashes due to the system running out of memory. Anyways, all you really need for the LCPD:FR (and most other mods) to work on 1.0.4.0 is ScriptHook.dll version 0.4.0, which can be found here. It's really that simple. This version of ScriptHook.dll works with the latest version of ScriptHookDotNet.asi (1.7.1.7 Beta), which can also be found here (and is NOT included with the latest LCPD:FR...the version which it installs is only 1.7.1.4 Beta), which does work with LCPD:FR. I think that may mostly be me (and my signature), LOL, because only the older modders that originally made and ran mods mostly on 1.0.4.0 know about its benefits versus 1.0.7.0, sadly. Then newer modders found out after reading posts such as mine about its benefits, and started making mods that are compatible with all versions of the game. Again, the main benefits of using 1.0.4.0 versus 1.0.7.0 are better stability, performance, and (of course) graphics. I usually get no crashes with the vanilla game, and can get up to 80 FPS, whereas in 1.0.7.0, the game is prone to crashing if the settings are on the higher end, and I can only get about 40 FPS. Lastly, 1.0.4.0 doesn't have the graphical glitches, shadow stuttering, and disappearing texture problems that 1.0.7.0 intorduced. So if those aren't good enough reasons to use 1.0.4.0, there's also the reason that almost all ENBs were made for 1.0.4.0... I've posted all my findings on getting LCPD:FR (and other mods) to work on 1.0.4.0 and their behavior on that patch to the best of my abilities here in hopes that it will indeed help other users (and especially the development team) figure out how to make LCPD:FR compatible with 1.0.4.0. There are very little problems with 0.95 Beta 1 on 1.0.4.0, but much more with 0.95 RC2 on 1.0.4.0. I'm glad you were able to learn from it! I'm not sure what else can be added to it, but there's always room for improvement.
  12. The term "vanilla copy" of the game just means the original, unmodified, stock copy. This is right after you install/reinstall the game (and have installed any patches applicable). There are major differences between 0.95 RC2 and 0.91 Stable. Most of the code has been rewritten, and many new functions have been added, and some were changed. For example, the entire arresting and frisking system has been redone in 0.95 RC2. I can't list them all here; you'll have to consult with the change log for all the differences. Yes, it is best to install one mod at a time and try it out in the game, to make sure that all the mods you have downloaded and installed into your game work for it without errors. No problem! You're welcome! Glad it's now working for you! Enjoy!
  13. This isn't the proper error log that you should be posting. Instead, run the and copy/paste the report into a post here. Hopefully with this added information, we will be able to help you out!
  14. No worries, man! And that method doesn't always work, especially not for the OP since he doesn't even have the Steam version of the game. I personally don't like allowing programs such as Steam and Origin be to ran as admin (at least not all the time, only when really needed, such as installing updates), because they are known to take personal information from computers even without administrative access. Also, setting games to run as admin directly prevents any program rights and access violations in between programs.
  15. What I meant was reinstall the two packages I linked, not the game. But if reinstalling the game doesn't fix it, then you are definitely missing some of these files which script mods depend upon. I suggest you reinstall the two packages and see what happens. It helped some people who had errors with scripts not being able to execute properly, but didn't help others. Just curious, does a vanilla copy without any mods work for you then? Because you said you put the mods back after reinstalling it... I already looked through those, as well as all of your logs and reports. I didn't find anything in particular that is standing out, besides the many scripts that you are using. Can you try to use only LCPD:FR and see if you still get the crashes? (And did you mean above that you still get crashes with a vanilla copy of the game as well, or did you mod your game right after reinstalling?) As of now, LCPD:FR 0.95 RC2 Release 2 is the best and most stable version there is, next to 0.91 Stable. I'm not so sure what you are talking about, although I understand what you are describing...can you post a screenshot? It may be due to one of your other script mods, since you have many that I haven't heard of or used before. Well, it's not normal to me because I don't have that error and haven't seen it before. The only "normal" error that I know of is the "error obtaining phone numbers," which doesn't effect anything really. Just suggesting you might want to find out what is causing that anomaly. But if its not effecting you, then yeah, you can forget about it. There is nothing of particular interest in that log, as far as I can tell.
  16. Yes, I think he knows that ELS is one cause of his crashes, hence he said he took it out, so I ignored those images. But he's still facing the crashes (as evidenced in the other images), which is why I told him to follow the steps in setting LaunchGTAIV.exe to always run as admin. Usually, people say to right-click and select "Run as Admin," but keep in mind that this is incorrect, as it only does it the one instance where you do that. The method I posted above sets it to always run as admin. I'm saying this just in case he or other users do it the wrong way after reading other posts thinking that it makes the game run as admin every time.
  17. Those steps are really not that hard to follow, as they are the most basic steps one should take when the mod has trouble installing or running. I only ask you to try these steps because you have the latest patch for GTA IV, yet is still experiencing the System Access Violation Exception error, which usually occurs if you have an incorrect version of GTA IV installed, incompatible/poorly scripted mods installed, and/or are not running the game as administrator. If you insist on a video of the steps, there are already some that are made by other members, including by Break and by Asuna. Ignore the titles of the videos, because they still show the same steps as I have listed above. Unfortunately, I myself cannot do a video at this time.
  18. Why did you start a new thread to post your results? You should've just posted them here, as it is against the rules here to start multiple threads for the same report request. Additionally, all you had to do was to press the button "Copy to clipboard" at the bottom of each error log to save yourself the trouble of making images. But anyways, I've looked through them and found a the common error code that I was expecting to see, which is Exception Code c0000005: System Access Violation. This usually means that either you have an incompatible mod installed, have missing Microsoft .NET Framework 4 and/or Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 files, and/or are not running the game as admin. To continue troubleshooting, let me know if you already did the following: 1. Ran the installer as an administrator by right-clicking it and choosing "Run as Administrator" in the drop-down menu. 2. Set your game's root directory not marked as "read-only." To check for this, go to your game's install folder, right-click it, and look at the "Attributes" section near the bottom. Make sure that "read-only" is unchecked. 3. Right-clicked on the installer program, clicked on "Properties" in the drop-down menu, went to the "Compatibility" tab, and then checked "Run program as Administrator" near the bottom. 4. Applied the same "Run as Admin" settings to LaunchGTAIV.exe for the mod to work.
  19. The is fine for me...are you attemtping to download it from the same place? Please run this tool as admin and post your diagnostics report here, and hopefully we can assist you further. But, as Custo has said and from my experience, ELS is very unstable, and if you also use a traffic fix mod, it will become even worse. I've found that crash frequency is proportional to vehicle density—the more high-poly vehicles (i.e. anything besides the default taxis, which have the lowest polys in the game) you have, the higher the chances the crash-inducing "ticking time bomb" will go off. Thus, you can either turn off ELS for the AI, lower vehicle density, stop using the traffic fix, or stop using ELS to solve the problem.
  20. Your logs indicate that you have many scripts installed, as well as several script errors. This was the first one that came up before the mod scripts were even loaded. Although the diagnostics state that you already have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 installed, have you done a reinstallation just to make sure? Usually scripts that cannot execute a command or access web functions are missing some components of either of these two coding environment packages.
  21. Just for reference, can you post the error report from Windows here by going to Control PanelSystem and SecurityAction CenterReliability Monitor, right-clicking on any error and selecting "View technical details," and copy/paste the appropriate info? Usually, the game just ceasing to work all of a sudden after playing for some time is due to either script errors, bad mods, or insufficient/poorly allocated system hardware (where the game is attempting to use more resources than is available to it).
  22. Unfortunately, ELS is highly unstable. Even though I can see that the majority of your system's specs are overkill for this game, your graphics card is the major bottleneck here, and may be causing the ELS-related crashes. The game was poorly scripted and not optimized to utilize all available, hardware so it will mostly utilize VRAM instead of DRAM. ELS requires a lot of memory, since it has to consistently reload your vehicle to make the lights appear to flash. Therefore, the only possible solutions are to turn off ELS for AI, tone down vehicle density (crash frequency increases proportionally with vehicle density), or not use ELS at all. I am facing the same crashes you are every half hour or so, but have learned to deal with it, since no updates to ELS will ever be made. Hope this helps you!
  23. You have installed the latest patch and it's still not working? And if you are still having trouble allowing your game's folders to be accessible by the mod (i.e. not "read-only"), follow this guide by Microsoft. Everyone who has followed the troubleshooting steps for getting the mod to install usually work, and only in rare circumstances are extreme measures, such as reinstalling the game, ever necessary.
  24. If you have trouble making your own mods, you should open up a new thread asking for support instead of asking in an author's release thread, as this is used for him/her to release mods and receive feedback for them. But anyways, you cannot import individual sound files with SparkIV; it is only used to import/export .ivaud sound archives for the game, like "horns.ivaud," for example. If you want to import your own .wav files, then you'll need another tool like GTA-IVaud to edit the sound archives, and then use SparkIV to replace it in the game.
