  2. A lot of people complained about that, and they are wrong, despite it being an open world game, it is not a sandbox game, it has a strict narrative which you are supposed to follow, it wasn't designed to be a game like GTA where you are free to run around and blow shit up on your own accord, it was meant as a normal story-bound game from the beginning, which is not in line with the rest of Rockstars title line-up, the game would probably have done better had it not been released by Rockstar, although it remains in my top five games for the story-line. It's the same with Brendan McNamaras earlier work on "the Getaway" franchise, both releases had a free roaming mode, but all you had was a city with no objective or point whatsoever, all you could do was drive around aimlessly, exactly like in LA Noire.

  4. Known problem, there's no work-around.
  5. PC: Ship simulator 2006, seemed like a good idea at the time, wasn't, I couldn't get into it. Counter-strike Condition zero, never played it Team Fortress 2, I bought it back in '08, I've logged 37 minutes in it. XBOX: Dead rising, I've never been able to work out how to get past a certain point in the game. The Bourne Identity game, I spent five minutes on that. Far Cry 2, rubbish game, bought it upon release, I forced myself though a lot of the storyline last year simply out of defiance of spending the money on that horrible game Dirt 2, I actually got this as a present, but it did not live up to the first game, I'm a huge rally fan, and I were hoping for a more rally orientated game, I should have known better, seeing as Codemasters dropped the Colin McRae name for the title. The xbox list is done, my dearly beloved Xbox died in January, so there's only additions for the PC to come.
  6. LCPDFR generates the names from a list of first- and surnames, the other values are generated randomly afaik, so that is not possible. The only thing you'd be able to do, is use Braveharts MDT, you can find it in the "media" section, you should be able to use that.

  10. I've worked under an NDA, and that applies, even after the employment ends, I've seen some confusion over that on different sites regarding a previous fictional leak. It is indeed well-written, however you'd expect so from an intern at a prestigious gaming company. Overall, I'm positively surprised over his post, I've heard good things about the drug dealing system from CW, I am also very delighted that the burglary side missions are back. I am, however, not that thrilled about annoying "schools", driving school, flying schools, I still remember spending hours on that damn flight school in GTA:SA. It seems credible, but I won't believe it until Rockstar releases more information about the game.
  11. It could be a PR ploy by Rockstar in order to build some hype for a new trailer.
  12. May 24 is the birthday of Dan Houser, that's why they drop so many 0524 hints in trailers and games, it were also the plane ID number on the plane that was featured in the final TBOGT(?) cut-scene. I've skipped past the storyline part due to the fact that I do not want my gaming experience ruined on the off-chance it's actually legit, I however feel that this is the most credible "leak" so far, although I thought the red convertible in the trailer was a Fletzer, as well as the fact that every rendition of some cars will be present. Also, Pfister instead of Porsche, perfect, suits them very well, he's managed to get the Rockstar humour in there. I remain extremely sceptical of any leaks, but any leaks could be true unless Rockstar themselves denies them. It seems like a good PR trick, regardless of it being Rockstar themselves, it gets hype going, hopefully the next game details will be revealed soon. EDIT: I do not remember Rockstar attending E3, so I doubt they'll release any info during E3, it also seems too far away from the details listed in their standard "expect more info to be released in the coming months" you get if you contact Rockstar, as they have been sending those out for quite a while now.
  13. It can be a bit of a legal kerfuffle if they charge money for it, especially if they convert models from one game into another (example: from Forza 3/4 to GTA:IV), as they are charging money for someone else's work. It's also problematic when it comes to re-creating real-life cars and equipment and then charging money for it, it costs game developers a lot of money to licence real-life objects into a game. They could potentially get into quite a bit of legal trouble if a car maker decides to take legal action, as they are liable for any damages caused.
  14. Remove all mods you have installed, if it works clean, then install one mod at a time, then checking if the game works, move on to the next, do so until all your mods are installed. If it doesn't work when they're un-installed, then re-install the game, then install any mods you may need one at a time, checking if it works, then moving on to the next. Continue to do so until you find the mod(s) causing the problem(s).

  16. You have posted in the wrong section, please post any support requests in the LCPFR support section, remember to read the stickies and follow the troubleshooter when you attempt to create a new thread, you will be allowed to post a new thread if the troubleshooter cannot solve your issue.
  17. Restart the game. Did you install any mods before it happened, if so, un-install that/those and try again.
  18. ELS causes the crashes you are talking about, not LCPFR, some users has more sucess with ELS V5, the only thing you can be advised to do, is to keep the game as standard as possible, especially if you have a lower-end PC.
  19. Rockstar made it so, they disabled that function for the emergency services, I personally do not see the point of writing some code for a function that would be used by one or two players. You can always drive to the car washes, then clean the car using SNT if you feel like RP'ing it. EDIT, I've also moved this to GTA IV - Discussion instead as it the appropriate category for this topic.
  20. You'll have to ask Braveheart as he's the man behind that project, it's hosted on LCPDFR, but is run by him. You'll be able to read more here:
  21. Please do not double-post, edit your existing post instead, I'll merge your two posts.
  22. There isn't, the identities of the drivers is generated when you initiate a traffic stop on them, players from earlier versions of 0.95 can probably remember the 1 second freeze that happened every time you pulled them over, which happened when LCPDFR had to generate the ID of the driver. It works by selecting a first name and a surname randomly from a list within LCPDFR, as well as it assigns the values listed when you check someone, all while taking some perimeters into consideration. However, there is the "MDC" by Braveheart, which gives a wider array of tools and options on http://mdc.lcpdfr.com/ It's not really possible to do a check over the radio, there's no voice files for the process, I believe that the developers are looking for ways to expand and improve the police computer.
  23. Having the mesh is actually helpful, it helps show the contours of the body of the car, you can always create a path using the outlines of the vehicle, then filling the patch with a colour.
  24. You can fix cars with most trainers, and they make it easy. I'd suggest using SNT, as the others mentioned.
