  1. Know what I will change it so it says WW2, because I can see were your coming from and it would make more sense like that.
  2. May I remind you who was at 9/11? Who caught the Boston bombers? Also we haven't had a defense war since WW2. Who protects your community from murders, rapist, mugger? Not the Military... Who makes sure the child molesters get put in jail? Not the military.. Oh, did you know that the CIA, FBI have taken out more terrorist leaders and have stopped more terrorist attacks then the Military? So before you start saying Police Officers are overrated they protect this country more then soldiers do at this point... So I personally think the Military is overrated because we haven't had a single defensive war since the WW2 Also that is the national average, I don't think you know what a rush is, plus even if you do that's sort time, that's nothing compared to the 5-15 a day officers get for 20 years.
  3. Here are some interesting stats that I have been told and seen. First off did you know 85% of police officers end up getting a divorce because of the stress they bring home from the job? Did you know cops have one of the highest suicide rate in the country from job related incidents? Did you know the average police officer only lives to be about 52 years old? This is because the average person (not a 1st responder) gets about 2-5 adrenaline rushes a year mean while a police officer gets about 2-15 a day. Over time your body adapts to it and needs to live off it (not much different then hardcore drugs like cocaine or crack) this takes a big toll on your heart and your death after 20 years of policing. So when the cop retires at around 50 years old they only live for about two more years before they die for what ever reason. My teacher knows about 6 different officers that have died from heart attacks with in 4 years of retiring from the PD after serving 20+ years. He also knows 1 officer who died at 32 from a heart attack when the officer was responding to a robbery in progress. Did you know a lot of officers drop out between 5-10 years of policing and fine a different career field because of the stress? Just some interesting stats that we learned in class, that I thought I might share. I would post the sites for these but they are in my notes I took from class sooo... But these are national average stats that they have concluded... Do you have what it takes to overcome all these challenges? what do you guys think about these? Did this get you thinking maybe I shouldn't be a cop or it didn't effect you? For me these don't make me even think twice about being a cop, yeah there scary stats but there are ways to avoid these things from happening, like leaving your badge at work when you leave.
  4. I find this really really hard to believe but it is. I was almost in tears I was laughing so hard... I want to know how his "partner" never noticed anything.
  5. Remember here I have a brother in the National Guard and he loves it. I also have a friend that was in the Army for 8 years and now is in the National Guard for 4 more. Just watch what you say lol :P
  6. Yeah, using Micheal's house I survived for about 10 minutes with 5 star wanted level, tell one tricky little cop went around back of Micheal's house and shot me in the head with his little 9mm.. LOL
  7. What did I say? I think I should be a fortune teller or something...
  8. Look at my modified post. I'll post it again "Give me a list of reasons why you actually want to join the Military, then give me a list of what MP's in the military do." Once again i'm not trying to talk you out of it, i'm trying to see if you actually want to do this or if your just confused, this is what my friend did to me and I decided I wasn't right for the military (I wanted to be a Army Ranger ever since I can remember then become a bad ass copper after I got out)
  9. Good for him that doesn't matter. Things have changed a lot over the past 20 years. Now a days drill instructors are barely aloud to swear at people. If someone on the internet can talk you out of joining the Military then its not something you always wanted to do. If its something you always wanted to do then you wouldn't be asking this question. Give me a list of reasons why you actually want to join the Military, then give me a list of what MP's in the military do.
  10. First look into what the MP does, because its not what you think it is... Also now a days being a vet doesn't give you a big boost at becoming a cop, yeah it helps you but doesn't help you as much as you would think it would, to be honest anyone who spent 4+ years in a well rounded police explorer post will have a better chance then you. Please note i'm not trying to say don't join the Military i'm not saying that just clearing some stuff up. Ok now that we got that out of the way here are the steps you need to take: 1.) DO YOUR RESEARCH ON EVERYTHING! Being in the Military is nothing like it is on call of duty or on TV shocking right? 2.) Once again do your research make sure that Mp is right for you and check out different parts of the job.. I know a airforce MP (basically the same thing) that all he did was just stand guard at a base and walk around in the 4 years he did that, he arrested something like 8 people. Most of the time he was standing in front of a door making sure people had the right ID's to get into the area they were going. But that might of just been his bad luck because he never got rotated. 3.) When you turn 17 contact a Recruiter and talk about the different jobs and what not the MP have, ask him what benefits you get from it. I'm not going to say if its a good idea or not, but just prepare to do hours on hours of research...
  11. No CNN is not better, no news site in the USA is even worth spending time on. I get better US news from BBC... Also no he won't be going away for a while. He will bail out, and maybe get probation, maybe maybe at most get 30 days in jail but unlikely. Half of those charges will be dropped and the only one he will probably actually get is Felony assault. Welcome to the US justice system... Were internet hackers get more jail time then rapist.
  12. This is where I see Tom coming from, you started your first post with "Fuck that! there are WAY too many issues with firearms as it is" Bringing up a entirely different topic and kind of insulting Americans in your post too. That is why I think you got the backlash you did. Just clearing things up. Do I agree with it? No just pointing it so don't get mad at me or anything just pointing something out that I think was missed.
  13. Fair game when you do the same. But I honestly would have to agree with Tom. Can't stop a group of people because of what one did.
  14. Thats over heating, make sure you get all of the dust off your hardware (need to open the case for that shocking I know lol.) also make sure the computer is off when ever you go inside the case. The computer shutting off is a way for the computer to try to save its self from basically melting... Make sure your heatsink is mounted properly I would take if off and put it on again, because if this keeps happening one of these times it won't shut down and you will have to buy a entirely new computer. If it was a virus then it wouldn't just happen with games. http://www.piriform.com/speccy Download this program and post your TEMPS.
  15. HA HA my evil plan worked. I have split the community into two its only a matter of time before the East and West Declare war on each other. HA HA HA!!!! But on a serious note its nice to be able to have a acutal nice debate on here once with out it turning into "you're mom is so fat she "insert mildly insulting joke here" Jokes
  16. I personally think it should only be a few selected TSA officers who have to go through the same type of training that law enforcement officers have to. This is regarding the shooting in LA with that TSA officer that was shot and left to bleed out for almost 30 minutes before he died. What do you guys think?
  17. This is my other car I drive... 1966 ford mustang, 200ci engine. Its for sale if anyone wants to buy it... lol

  22. Its going to be a really good game, but i'm going to wait for them to knock some of the bugs out and put more stuff in.
