GTA IV folder ROOT ?
There is no folder called "root." The Root folder is just another name for the main folder for a program. For example, the root folder for GTA IV would be C:\Program Files(x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\ .

Can I update 0.91 to 0.95RC?
Yeah, you can just install over .91. I think that's what I did. Either way, you wouldn't have to reinstall the game, just delete the First Response files, and install .95RC1.

Same missions.. Games crash..
First off, the crashing: Are you using ELS for the main vehicles that spawn? (I think it's only police and police2 for EFLC, but idk) If you are, then this is most likely the problem. For whatever reasons, and lack of a better explaination, ELS and LCPDFR don't always get along well, thus causing the game to crash. The best way to get around this, but still use ELS is to only enable ELS for the vehicles that don't spawn normally. (For example, fbi and noose) Now, as for the callouts: As far as I know, the Dev's are aware of this issue(?). There is a key that you can press ingame at this time to force a call out, but I can't think of what it is off the top of my head. Also, you can go to the FirstResponce.ini file, and play around with the callout numbers. (chancecrimeiscommited, or something along that line)

LCPDFR Arrest error
When they have their hands up, are you walking up behind them? If not, then you actually have to walk up behind them to cuff them and give more options.

Police Skin/Model Mods
Just out of curiousity, are you using a car that looks like this: Just wanna see if you're using a NYSP/LCSP car. I'm not sure about other parts of the country, but here at least our trooper's uniforms are all gray, and I think the surrounding states are the same way. Just wondering.

Police Skin/Model Mods
Well, I am in the process of making a NYSP skin. I can't do anything about the model though. I assume it would be possible, if someone was willing to take the time to do something.

New York State Trooper Skin
- 1,143 downloads
- Version V1.0
This mod replaces the default State Trooper skin with that of a real New York State Trooper. If you are tired of the old, sky blue State Troopers, and/or want something more realistic, then this is for you. At this time, only the un-jacketed trooper is fully "finished," as he looks much more realistic than the jacketed version. But, do not worry, as the cop in the leather jacket is next on the To Do List. Feedback is much appreciated. Enjoy!- 5 comments

Start of Shift
Just out of curiousity, are you aware that Bxbugs123 made another version of the NYSP Crown Vic? It has the correct lightbar and flash pattern. :D

Theme update: LCPDFR Light & Dark
How true... In any case, I retract my first post in this topic, as it looks very good. I never would have guessed that a different version of IE would make such a difference.

Theme update: LCPDFR Light & Dark
Just tried the Light theme on my laptop, which has IE9 instead of 8, and it looks so much better...In fact dark is a bit better too...Any idea why it would look different on a different version of IE?

091 wont work plz help
Matteen, you're not listening. You have to install the GTA 1.0.7.0 update. There is a link to it in the second post in this topic thread.

Make it perfect
Um I think he ment it as a joke in regards to continuing an old forum thread, which is generally known as necro-ing. Edited to fix a spelling error.

091 wont work plz help
I'm not convinced that he is using the right key combination to start LCPDFR. In his post he said he tried CONTROL + P, but the correct key is ALT + P.

091 wont work plz help
Um. I must be missing something there Icon lol. I wasn't really concerned about the blur (I just put up with it and hit P again cuz im too lazy to change the key hehe). But he was using the wrong key combo to start LCPDFR.

091 wont work plz help
Completely redid my post as we are all a lil blind : ) . He used CTRL P not ALT P. That would be his problem.

LCDPFR
As far as I know, the only reason for that message to pop up is because you have PPM (Police Pursuit Mod) installed. The message appears every time you start GTA IV with PPM installed. If you used PPM before, make sure that it is uninstalled...If you didn't use it before, I would check anyway. I can only imagine what problems could be caused by trying to run the game with both PPM and LCPDFR installed at the same time...

im new to this
If you're looking for a gun sound mod, I found a real good one yesterday. The sounds were recorded from the actual weapons. http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=9978 If it's an engine sound mod you want, you may be outa luck...I don't think anyone has ever made one. You could change the engine sound by telling the game what car you want another car to sound like via file editing. For cars and ELS, there are a lot of cars on GPM (http://www.gtapolicemods.com/). There are also more topics there on how to install the cars, as that is what the site is dedicated (mostly) to. A good way to find siren mods that you like are to search on Youtube for GTA 4 siren mods. You should find a good number of them. For the uniforms, I think there is one on this site in the downloads section. I think I use it, not sure lol. For any of these, you need SparkIV, which was already linked. If you need anything else, ask. gl!

Theme update: LCPDFR Light & Dark
Here are some of my thoughts about the Light skin: Way too much white. I think that there should be more contrast between the different parts of the site. It might be a good idea (if possible) to make the stark white parts a bit darker, maybe to a silver/light gray. Maybe use stark white as a border between different parts of the site? Or a light gray border around some white parts. Trying to visualize how that would look... If I think of anything more, I'll be sure to post. As for the Dark skin, I think that's pretty good as it is right now. Although I am wondering what it would look like with a gray border around different sections of the page. I think it would just look a little more...mm...'complex' if all of that solid color was broken up just a tad. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

TeamSpeak
Yeah I think this thread has already served it's purpose. No need to keep it going as far as I know.

Theme update: LCPDFR Light & Dark
LCPDFR Dark was working fine until I just checked in this time. Now, when I click on the Forums button, everything seems to be offset by 3-4 inches to the left, effectively cutting off all of the different forum categories. Will continue to test. **EDIT: Interesting, it is no longer doing it. The pages are normal now.
