Well no, shooting a 13 year old boy is never right nor is it what he deserved, it was a foolish choice he made, and that was not to listen and he paid the price & now that cop has to live with that for the rest of his life & I bet he regrets his decision, though I applaud the Officer for holding the boy accountable for his actions, he could have just tazed him, kids don't know the seriousness of stuff like that.

My local department has school liasons specifically for trouble with students, they are in full uniform, even have their own cars, Ford Focus' & Dodge Avengers, it would be pretty wise if they did it that way.

I'm sure it has happened, none of the schools I've even been to have been involved in school shootings, how is it a shock? someone could have been bullied, got ahold of his/her dads LICENSED firearm and took it to school while mom and dad were at work, no one would ever or should ever expect there kids to ever do a thing such as shoot people down for whatever reason, because there is never any reason good enough to shoot someone, no one has the right to play god. So many things can be a factor in this on how the kid even got the gun. I took a knife to school when I was in elementary total accident, my grandpa gave it to me for when I went to his place in Alonsa, Manitoba & I had it in my back pack when I went to school that Monday, I found it and showed it to my teacher so he knew I had it or it could have been much worse if it just fell out after I didn't say anything, I got suspended for 3 weeks and my ass SMACKED so hard by my mom I couldn't sit down, and I was 100% honest about having it, and I STILL got punished for it... TWICE, that stuff is serious no matter what.

The kids got shot with a gun, did they not? If you actually heard the News or read the paper you would know this happens enough in the States to not come as a shock...
