What is the most accurate Police show no television right now?
I'd have to say COPS, I love the marathons that are always on but I HATE the commercials every...30....seconds...

This is what happens when you don't move over
Want to know why? people don't care or just don't know any better & the move over law isn't just in place for Police or other emergency personnel, your supposed to move over for service vehicles, TOW TRUCKS THAT HAVE FLASHY LIGHTS (for decoration apparently), or even broken down vehicles, or even people pulled over to talk on a cell phone, for whatever reason everyone think it's just the police that matter, like they're the only ones that have families to get home safely too. This kind of topic is one thing I want to express my feelings on, nothing pisses me off more then the lack of consideration for emergency personnel or the lack of respect shown for tow truck drivers in regards to moving over or even any mention of us, my job may not seem to be a big deal but, who do you call when your vehicle is broken down and your stranded? who do you call when you wrap your car around a tree? who do you call when you slide into a ditch at 3am to pull you out? it isn't the police.. you know how many times I've blocked traffic to help a stranded motorist and vehicles don't stop? they tromp on the accelerator and blow by me, cops can at least do something about it, I have yet to see a fatality because of this & I'm sure I will one day, keep this in mind when you decide to not move over.

This is what happens when you don't move over
I find when travelling and I see a traffic stop going on strobes are more attention getting then LED's, they snap my attention whenever I see them whether it be night or day, every kind of service vehicle in the HRM has a lightbar of some kind, being distracted is a HUGE problem even from something as small as "I don't like this station" & you focus your attention for even a second on the radio anything can happen, incorporate that with texting & driving, even joking around & carrying on can cause accidents.

This is what happens when you don't move over
What's sad is, everyone here feels sorry for the MSP and their cars, what about when I'm changing some lazy asses tire on the side of the highway & nobody moves over for me when my lights are activated? what if I'm hooking up somebody's broke down car & I get struck & killed? guaranteed no one will care as much because because I'm not a cop, move over law applies to even tow truck drivers. I hope the driver that hit them gets what they deserve. Society really makes no sense nowadays.

Students set a tire on fire at my school
I remember a kid who used to pick on me, not many people liked him but he was def a follower, followed his "friends" around all the time, anyway, one morning he was waiting outside the school at the bus loop, hundreds of kids & one of his "friends" ran up & pantsed him.. he never wore underwear, needless to say, those "friends" weren't his friends anymore & everyone to this day brings up his tiny pee pee lol

ALPR Demonstration by Long Beach Police
Pretty nice system, but it blocks some LEDs flash on the light bar, I think to outfit the entire RCMP with this would cost millions.. as they would be outfitting thousands of vehicles, training thousands of Mounties how to use these would be extremely costly.. better go to RadioShack..

My CVPI lighting setup!
Believe me, I wanted to restore the under the hood aspect of it first, but I don't install the lights myself & am still learning the wiring aspect of it. I want all the body work done before next winter hits as I will be taking it off the road for winters because of all the salt Nova Scotia uses, I do completely agree with you, but there is 100 things I want to get finished at the same time and I want to get the quickest parts of it done as under the hood could run me thousands because I do want a whole new motor which pricing one is about $2,000.00, but that could be far fetched, my intention with it is for show use, that is all, nothing more, nothing less, unfortunately there are people that ruin this kind of thing for people because they think it's funny to pull people over or drive fast with strobe lights, anyway PM inbound.

My CVPI lighting setup!
I'm going to post a video once everything is installed. The same laws apply to Red/Blue lights, sirens, wig Wags, I can have them & can legally be sold to me or anyone else, but I can't be bothered with the hassle & I don't want to piss the police off, so i'll stick with pointless lol Very well said! take my +1 Lol I think I would, seeing as I just spent $600.00 JUST on LEDs, not even the strobes tubes lol & I went and bought a license plate bracket & 2 Whelen T1R3's.

My CVPI lighting setup!
I just priced at 2003 Altima $4300.00 which is the better deal?, problem is your stereotyping or "generalizing" what they were used for.. you don't know anything of what your saying to be true other then what you hear and read which I've never personally seen, I don't need your "justification" to put mods on my car, you know how many people I know that are crown vic fanatics? how many people are snatching them up and restoring them? I know a few.. If they had come out with stock crown vics like the Interceptors with nothing in them, I would have bought one, but they didn't, so, I guess an ex cop car will do, unless I'm decaling out my car & putting red/blue lights all over it , radios, gun racks or anything like that, I don't see a problem, lights can be hidden.. push bumpers and spot lights can't, which is kind of over doing it, but a push bumper isn't anything out of the ordinary, would I buy a Taurus PI? probably not, because they do come stock, would I buy an ex cop car charger? probably not, because I can go into a dealer and buy one, would I buy an ex Police Ford Explorer? probably not, because I can go into a dealership and buy one, see what I'm saying?

Did I say you were? no, I didn't... It's not illegal to do so as has been proven above.., no no, people THINK they know why I bought it yourself included, I can clearly see you are butt hurt for whatever reason & try & pick an argument ONLY because you don't believe in people buying them which is your right but I DO have a problem with you making assumptions that I'm a wannabe, I don't have any actual police gear with any intent other then showing it off to my friends or going to car shows out here which can you believe that they do have them? who knew right? I put lights on my car because I like lights, is that really so hard to believe? to you maybe, but you can go ahead and believe what you'd like to, I won't hold it against you, did I mention I'm taking the Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification in the fall? guess i'd have to be into that sort of thing eh? EDIT: and a 2014 Nissan Altima starts at $22,100, my crown vic I paid $1200.00 cash.. do the math..

Wanna link me to one you'd recommend?- My CVPI lighting setup!
Feelings mutual, but why the negative comment if you "know" i'm not like that? I don't have red/blue lights a radio or any of the other gear nor do I want it, so how does that make anybody a wannabe?I could go buy a Nissan Altima and do the same thing.- My CVPI lighting setup!
I'd like to buy more lights, but I've already spent *cough* $391.00 just on the 4 undercovers lol plus going to spend $275.00 on Wednesday for the used console & light switch box, maybe eventually this glass pack exhaust: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nx8g9zmDNx8 & I don't know if my alternator can handle anymore then that lol I def welcome it!- My CVPI lighting setup!
Probably just a jet black or metallic black, the guy apparently has really good rates for painting & I already have all my lights purchased so I don't have to bother with that anymore :)- My CVPI lighting setup!
Hey everyone, there was a few people that wanted me to keep them updated on my setup for my CVPI, I currently have everything that I plan on installing except for the police console & switch box I get on Wednesday, I will be getting everything installed at once in the spring, which I don't think will be too far away, but this is everything I have that will be put into my car: - 4 Universal Undercover LEDs ( Sound Off Signal) - 4 Amber strobes in the front marker lights & reverse lights - 6 White strobes in front marker lights, reverse & tail lights ( already installed) - 1 light strip in back window All will have there own switch. & I go for a quote on a paintjob on Wednesday. I asked an HRP Traffic Cop on Friday what the legalities of having lights/strobes installed in my car & this was the conversation: Slimory: Hi, Cst. Quesnel, I have a question that I need answered regarding strobes lights, I am a huge light fanatic they are a hobby of mine. I asked an Officer once before but didn't really give me a straight answer, I wanted to know the legalities of having them are? I will put out there I do have a crown vic, because that seems to be the most cause for concern, I do have strobes lights which are white and amber, I plan on using it for a show vehicle once I have it restored, I've never used them on a public roadway nor do I have red/blue lights as I do know & understand the consequences of possessing such lights, I do not abuse having them and have never given the police a reason to come knocking on my door about them so I figured being honest about having them would hopefully give a less negative response, I do NOT possess the following as i'm sure you do have Police Impersonators: Police Radio Push Bumper Light bar (Whelen Edge 9000MM Whelen Liberty *same as HRP uses*, Federal Signal Legend *same as the RCMP use) Siren Wig Wags Partition Gun rack(s) Trunk Gear Note I do NOT have any of these things, i'm not looking to have my door kicked in or piss the police off or anything like that but I would like to know the legalities of it & how you as a Traffic Cop feels about it, please, I understand that this is probably a touchy subject. HRP Traffic Cop (That's what he calls himself on his Facebook page) his name is Constable Ray Quesnal of the Halifax Regional Police Traffic Services: Good question, your strobes are ok as long as you are parked and not operating the vehicle on a highway. MVA 179(9) states Flashing or revolving lights on vehicles operated upon a highway are prohibited. Thus if your not moving and a show car it's ok. Hope that helps. RQ- NSA? LCPDFR?
What kind of underwear am I wearing?- NSA? LCPDFR?
Your brain, I like that shit! On a side note, this is one weird topic, so i'll just add that I am eating a pepperoni & mushroom pizza with bacon & extra cheese not at all related to the topic at hand and making the NSA hungry :) - My CVPI lighting setup!
