EDIT: Found my problem, drive was toast, topic can be closed now.

I went to Dallas, Texas 2 years ago & when I got there, I had to take LAYERS off, was gonna start stripping down to my boxers.. then I would see people dressed in steel toes & sweaters.. Yeah I managed to figure out the CMD Prompt earlier after I googled how to use it (lol) But if the drive was dead there wouldn't be power, would there? cause the green light still flashes when I open it & it still opens it, I uninstalled the hardware last night & turned on my computer this morning & it was automatically found, but still, can't find driver updates because it just says it's not installed. @c13- Your suggestion worked, I uninstalled all the ITunes stuff and the drive works fine now, is there anyway around not having ITunes?

I don't even know what ICloud is to be honest. but I had to delete a bunch of crap I had no idea that was Apple, but i'll give it a try & get back to ya.

Would ICloud & all that have to be uninstalled?

I reinstalled it all after a HUGE headache with it, what would you suggest doing? & no, it's still not working

Oddly enough I had problems with ITunes last week, uninstalled it and reinstalled it.

I haven't played GTAIV in close to 3 weeks now, went to go launch it last night and it say's the drive is not found & I can't update the driver, looked all over google and tried solutions provided, but for some reason the troubleshooters aren't working, the drive itself works, just won't launch anything this is the error I get: "No DVD/CD Drive Detected" Makes no sense and this is the second time this has happened in the 4 years I've had it. anyone?

Unfortunetely your intent & what actually is happening is 2 different things, it IS your right to have a firearm, but it does have an effect on people that don't know you from a hole in the ground, which makes a cops job more difficult because they call the police & they have to investigate, which inturn, they themselves get shit on for hassling gun owners, it's a catch 22. I think Police should have firearms because they protect our freedoms in our cities' and I guess you could say going to look for trouble head on to keep the most dangerous people off our streets in our best interests, the average joe such as you or myself doesn't need to do that except to look out for ourselves, no one else, because it's not our duty to "Serve & Protect", that's what they took the oath for, I'm all for protecting my family, but that's all a handgun at most should be able to do. As I said, you never know what is mentally wrong with an individual just by looking at them, no criminal passed or anything, but gets tired of life & shoots up a school, which seems to be a trend lately

I can see where your coming from with the hammer & gun analgy, other people don't see owning a gun as safe.. But why does anyone have to be scared? your just repeating the cycle and making people that dislike guns scared of you, I don't own a gun & I feel safe leaving my home everyday because I'm not paranoid & given the amount of Ex Military that believe in this, most if not all have PTSD, so why again is it a good idea? criminal or not, you never know whats going on in someones mind, do you? I have strobe lights in my vehicle, how does that make you feel?

I have stated before in topics my opinions on open carry, I have since taken into consideration people right to defend their families, but my problem with people and their "right to bare arms" is the most common answer when asked why they need to carry an AR-15 Assault Rifle is.. because I can & in my opinion is quite ignorant and an abuse of the that so called "right", why not just a handgun kept at home? why do you NEED to carry a military grade weapons? it makes people feel un easy & makes a lot of people feel unsafe because your exercising YOUR right, sorry but if you come to Canada and walk up on me with a gun I'm going to break your face open with it, why? because we don't see that stuff as okay, and people that do, chances are, are ex military or have just moved to the states. @ The Admiral- You can't build things with a gun, can you?
