Calling Backup During Pursuit
No there isn't a dedicated key for back that will assist in pursuits. Out of curiousity have you considered using road blocks to slow the suspect down? That would give the other units a chance to catch up and if you manage to stick to the suspect depending on what area they are in I've noticed they try and take more corners to shake you off, that inveriably slows them down giving the AI chance to catch up and eventually box him in when you PIT him, or use another tactic. Also pedestrian cops will join in the pursuit if you manage to get him out of the car.

Arresting suspect then handed over to my backup but they do not transport the suspect.
I think tha'ts just the way the game works, if you don't look at it and depending on what scrpits you have active, it refreshes the games memory so they disappear the o/p's problem and one that I've noticed is that they just place the prisoner in the car and then walk way from the car, I've also noticed they'll leave their partner behind, EMT's have a habit of doing that with ambulances' too. So it probably is just the AI, it is GTA after all XD.

Calling Backup During Pursuit
If a vehicle fails to stop, press Alt + E , that will initiate a pursuit and other nearby untis will start to join in. I would on ly use Alt + B an d Alt + N if the suspect or suspects are on foot and cornered.

LCPDFR keeps loading up a crashed savegame.fr
You don't have to deactivate the autosave feature, just delete the savegame.fr and the oldseassion.fr files, if that doesn't work I would suggest you post your error logs.

I have the same issue, but it doesn't always happen. I think its just the NPC AI. I think you can also change a setting in the ini file to make the prisoner disappear immediately upon pressing the 'N'.

Bravehart Policing Script crashes the game
I have the Sam problem, I read somewhere that when a new version of LCPDFR comes out, the mods need to be updated as well. I would wait until next week and then start checking I the mods have been updated.

1.0d save problem
It does that to me sometimes, all I do is delete the savegame.fr and oldsession.fr files and that fixes it. EDIT: I forgot to say, in relation to your idea about detecting what vehicle you're in. I think that's a great idea it would make the game more sensible, asking me to check out a boat in the middle of the river while I'm in the middle of Central Park, just doesn't make sense, even for GTA XD

lcpdfr 1.0d failed to find savegame
Have you tried re-installing it just to see if it was a bad install of ELS 8? If not you could try google searching ELS 7 that was the previous version but I'm not sure if its still uploaded somewhere for you to download.

Crash After Tries to Load Previous Session
When you say you are deleting your save, do you mean the savegame.fr file? If so try deleting the oldsession.fr file as well. If you want to disable the auto-save feature this can be done by running the LCPDFR Diagnostic tool in the LCPDFR folder which is located in the GTA IV main folder. After you run it click on Configure LCPDFR then click on the General Settings #2 tab and untick the box that says Enable auto-save.

1.0d save problem
I think that's the whole point of the auto-save feature its meant to save your progress so that if you crash the game quickly reboots and when you load back into to it, you're placed were you last were in the vehicle you were in. I don't think its meant to substitute or act as a normal save function. Although I could be wrong.

LCPDFR 1.0D Unexpected End of Archive Winrar
I had a problem originaly downloading the archives whent he update came out, I didn't have the same error as yours but it turned out my antivirus software (Avast) was causing the issue and I have read that other antivirus programs sometimes see LCPDFR as a malware or even a virus. Try disabling your antivirus program for 10 minutes or until restart and after redownload the archive try opening it.

1.0d Crashes whenever I initialize it!
I had a similar problem to yours, I don't think you necesarily have to deactivate the autosave feature. I would suggest you delete the savegame.fr file that Sonny236 mentioned but delete the oldsession.fr file as well, without deactivating the autosave feature. See if that works, if not delete both files again and then disable to the autosave feature as well. I only say this because I think the autosave feature is a good one and you might find it useful, you just might have to delete those to files I mentioned on a occasion.

Install 1.0D problem
Are you using the Steam version of GTA IV? If you are, unistall LCPDFR, then go to Steam and right click on GTA IV click on Properties, then click on the Local Files tab and finaly click on Verify Integrity of Game Cache. That should fix your main game, it will see if there are any files missing and re-download them. Then re-install LCPDFR and see if it works, if it doesn't upload all the logs Willpv23 is asking for and he might be able to help you more. If you're not using the steam version then I think you're going to have to uninstall GTA IV completely and re-install it, then re-install LCPDFR. EDIT: Forgot to add the non steam version answer duh /facepalm.

LCPDFR Error
Just a few of questions: 1) When you say you have no vehicle mods installed, does that mean you haven't installed any custom vehicles or are you using the stock cars? 2) If you have installed custom vehicles are they ELS enabled? 3) Have you run the LCPDFR Diagnostics Tool? Its located in the LCPDFR folder in the GTA IV main folder 4) If you have, can you post or attach your LCPDFR Diagnostics Log? Although its probably beyond my technical expertise, someone like Cyan might be able to help. EDIT: Correction of grammatical errors.

Your longest LCPDFR session?
I think the most I've managed is a couple of hours but then again I do have quite a few mods installed so I'm not suprised.

LCPDFR 1.0d Automatic Installer archive appears to be broken
As per the title I've tried downloading the automatic installer and the alternative one, however everytime I try to open them it tells me the archive might be damaged or is of an unknown format. I use WinRAR to open archives, this isn't so much a request for support thread but more of a just letting you know thread. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year :)

LCPDFR 1.0d WinRar Issues
I've tried using the link provided, but it either refuses to download it or when it does download it, it says the download failed.
-
Quick question
I thought it was Alt+E not E by itself, maybe try that?
-
Hello, where can i find a list of commands?
Also when you download your game and install at the end the installer has a link to the keys for both v0.91 and v0.95 beta.

Mayor makes a very bad call IMO!
So out of curiousity who has been invited? And on a seperate note I think Kate has a point, surely some of the firefighters, paramedics and police officers who were there during the incident should at least be afforded the option to attend the ceremony out of respect for their huge contribution.
