Badge#4667 reacted to l3ubba in California police shootingHere we go again. You sure know a lot about the job of a police officer for someone with no training or job experience in that field. You should apply to be the chief of police somewhere or apply to be an instructor at an academy, I'm sure you infinite knowledge and wisdom in all things law enforcement would be very appreciated by these paranoid thug cops.

Badge#4667 reacted toDeactivated Memberin Draggable Corpses SuggestionI could see this being a thing, at least as a RageHook mod. The animation's already in the game, so there just needs to be the functionality of pressing a button (likely E) while near a dead body, jumping into the animation and then being able to move around, pressing the button again to set the body down. Would also be useful for rescuing an injured officer or civilian during a shootout if they had been caught in the crossfire but not fatally wounded: after setting the body down they would return to a pain animation on the ground, but could be saved by paramedics (they wouldn't die if you pulled them away) or yourself, as I would also expect a reviving feature to be added alongside this.

My father spent 15 years with the Border Patrol, when they were still under the Department of Justice. Very hard and strict academy. You will learn conversational Spanish (If you don't you get kicked out), and once you graduate and go to your post, you have 2 years of probation where you will have numerous Spanish tests as well as physical fitness tests. Not to mention that even if you're stationed on the Canadian border, you will still have "Details" where you will spend maybe 1-3 months down on the Mexican border. Not sure if some of that has changed, but that's what it was about 5 years ago.
Don't plan on starting a family and be a newbie in the Border Patrol. It's very hard on family life. Although, it's the federal government. If you happen to get in at a very early age, you can retire pretty early and have a very cushy retirement as well as very good benefits.

Badge#4667 reacted to AngeloCosma in [WIP][REL] Realistic ALPR SystemIs there a way to replace the GTA V car names with the actual RW name. Like Corvette vs the Conquette or whatever GTA calls it. Some are not so obvious, my example is however.

Badge#4667 reacted to Danielle in [WIP][REL] Realistic ALPR SystemIt is using Rage, as it was the most fitting for future integration with LSPDFR.
Being in repo is not all that bad, definitely not like on TV. We have had our share of people running, driving off our lift and wanting to fight, but those are generally rare. The job is mostly about being able to talk to people and to deescalate bad situations.

Hilarious.. 2 officers just walked out of my office trying to obtain hires logos for a mammoth screen presentation. I gave them the 3d rendered seal and then hopped on the net to find a badge and came across this forum..
We designed and installed all of the Mobile Police cars and I was shocked to see such a cool rendering.
The Font used on the car is AddCityBoy
The 911 font is Moderna
Nice job :)
