When people join LSPDFR, their tag is "Newbie." For others, it could be "Member" or something custom. How do you change that? I can't find anything telling me how. (Right now mine is "Upstanding Citizen")

Click on the right arrow next to your name and edit the member title to whatever, made mine field training officer

edit profile then edit member title **

I believe you must also have a certain number of posts before being able to change it, too. At least that's what I think I know.

This. Due to prior events, users within the "new members" group have reduced features than those in the "members" group.
