Not sure how exactly are you approaching this call, but you need to search up the suspect and then go to their location. I'll share the steps below:-
    1) You receive the callout - the notification mentions a name of the suspect
    2) Bring up the default LSPDFR police computer (default key: Q, if I'm not wrong)
    3) Search for the name of the suspect in the search box
    4) A small popup will appear with the details of the suspect
    5) A few seconds later your mini map will update with the GPS location of the suspect. - Go there
    6) While nearby the location, you will be given a search area (marked in yellow) - search for the suspect within that area
    7) Once you locate the suspect, they'll generally try to run. Apprehend and arrest them.

Hello everybody, and thank you for taking the time to read this message!

I'm developing a new modification for LSPDFR that will add a career mode for LSPD:FR; climb through the ranks to become a sergeant, chief or whatever else you desire. With the development of this mod I'm going to need some feedback on the features I'm working on. If you have the time I'd really appreciate you taking a look at my Trello board and telling me what you think about the ideas.

    Thank you,

Do you have RageNativeUI updated? Looks like that could be a problem.
If unsure, please download it from HERE and drag & drop the RageNativeUI.dll file in your main GTAV folder.

Hey there buddy! Haven't found a fix, but I did more experimenting, and the less mods I have, the less likely I am to encounter the crash. It seems more likely to occur when I am using more game memory. Setting my files up again from scratch seems to help, but my best guess is that this is a general issue with the game running out of resources, and isn't caused by a conflict from one specific mod. The reason I believe this is because I can somewhat reliably produce this by spawning in a crapton of backup units XD

Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this. This isn't, like, a 100% serious suggestion or whatnot, I just had this shitty idea after watching Summoning Salt all day.

So, LSPDFR. It's an open world police simulator. Unlike GTA V, there's no plot or goal to LSPDFR; you just chase and arrest peds. So it's impossible to speedrun by its inherent nature, right?

    Anyways, hear me out:

So, you install a relatively popular, supported, and functioning callout pack. Then you hop in game and start forcing those callouts in any order, the goal being to complete all of the callouts in the pack in the fastest time possible. There'd be different strategies for these too, such as "standard%" (complete the callout the way it's meant to be finished), "lethal%" (complete using only lethal force), "pacifist%" (complete using only less-lethal force, any kill is an immediate fail), and probably even "force%" (force end all the callouts as fast as you can; hey, there's literally a Minecraft speedrun category for dyeing sheep certain colors).

Obviously, these wouldn't ever become formal speedruns. Different mods can interfere with certain functionalities, and even something like having StopThePed or a slightly newer version of a specific callout pack or LSPDFR would probably require a whole new category. Plus, having to manage all the runs and whatnot, even with magically streamlined categories, would be a nightmare.

But I think the idea of an informal LSPDFR "speedrun" would be fun, to get through callouts like that quickly and efficiently. It'd be unique, at the very least.

Just taking your idea forward (if that is feasible at all, like you say), LSPDFR may introduce a police ranking system in-game based on the the performance and efficiency as you go around responding to calls and cleaning up scenes (yes, cleaning up the mess should add merit points if you ask me). Maybe responding to calls quickly one after the other would be a bit tiresome, but even if there's a bit of cooldown added in between, the idea sounds kinda fun!
Either way, I've been looking for a ranking system based on how good/ efficient an LEO you are since ages now. Coming across your idea seemed to be a perfect reason for such a system as well.

I was wondering if there were any scripts/mods that would, like Vocal Dispatch, let you question the peds through your own microphone? I think it would be cool if we can just ask the same questions from STP but verbally.

You need to provide the RagePluginHook.log file available in your GTAV root folder (where GTA5.exe is located)
Please attach that in order for anyone to be able to help you out.

Ricky001 reacted to KLE0 in Slower (more realistic) pursuits
Don't get me wrong -- I know high speed chases are exciting, and I do enjoy them. However, every once in a while I want to play realistically and the pursuits are always immersion-breaking; car chases IRL do not actually reach 100mph all the time, after all. Plus, slower pursuits may be preferable given the limitations of the game:
It's really easy to crash your vehicle when speed is too high, especially when using a more realistic handling. It's hard to do PIT maneuvers reliably at high speeds. The AI police car drives even worse and constantly crash into other cars creating chaos. They also miss turns, crash into each other at a stop, and drive into ditches.
Of course not everyone's definition of "realistic speed" is the same and it may also depend on play style and handlings used, etc. So I think it's a good idea to add a slider which scales the pursuit speed down, which the users can adjust (or disable).

I am a big fan of the pursuit style and "tracking mode" addition to the last LSPDFR update, and this will be a great complement. What do y'all think?

Hi again, This one might be a slightly different issue, but I just noticed another consistent crash issue with my game.
Whenever I enter the police garage with a vehicle, the game crashes (RPH+Game). It happens with any police garage and any vehicle... not just some specific ones.
When I enter the garage on foot, though, it doesn't crash immediately, and I can brose through the vehicles in different agencies. But on modding or finally selecting a vehicle, the game crashes.
Can anyone confirm if they're facing this too? I know this is unrelated, so if no one else is facing this, I will remove this reply to the topic.

If this is something which is an easy fix, it's possible we can fix it. We don't really support the use of other map modifications though - they are out of scope for LSPDFR.

LSPDFR is only designed to WORK IN SAN ANDREAS. IT WILL NOT WORK ANYWHERE ELSE.
ADD: LSPDFR will only work in San Andreas, North Yankton and Cayo Perico.
Pathnodes and all navigation, spawning maps by R* data system is not used by LSPDFR, it uses it's own system. So unless developers publish the specifications or make it modifiable, it will not support such big map mods.

For all those checking this thread, the issue should be fixed in the latest LSPDFR build.
If using the manual installation, make sure to update everything as this LSPDFR build contains both a new version of LSPDFR and a new version of RAGE Plugin Hook.

Exactly, no mods, clean LSPDFR even without any custom configs, but nothing seems to be the reason. I even removed all extra scripts and ASI plugins.
Technically I'm playing LSPDFR on a clean GTAV installation.

Much better description. Specifically the "Restore Last Mods" part is on point! I thought it was about any kind of modding, but this seems to be the perfect pinpointed issue.

Sadly, the issues only seem to keep coming as I just encountered that the "Apprehended Warranted Suspect" (Arrest Warrant) callout also tends to crash while approaching the suspect's address. I was thinking only I was having these problems, but at least with the garage thing, thanks for endorsing that it is indeed an issue.
Guess I'll have to take my days off patrolling and just enjoy the year-end like a normal person. XD

I've not had a chance to test this, but based on the troubleshooting everyone else has done I'm assuming it's an LSPDFR bug. Perhaps something has been changed or deleted around apartments or maybe a hook or pattern has failed.

I'm not too familiar with the apartment system, so even if I have a chance to look at this I'm unlikely to fix it quickly.
With the festive season there is probably going to be a delay around fixing this if it's an LSPDFR bug. I can only speak for myself but I will have probably no free time in the coming days, the situation is probably similar with the rest of the development team. Sorry about that.
