  1. My latest tests today with RAGE + LSPDFR and RAGE + LSPDFR + TRAFFIC POLICER show the same results. Helicopters will chase the car, chase the suspect if it turns into a foot pursuit without issues. However, the helicopters still fly too low and too stupid often crashing into objects and coming to near death (smoking and falling from the sky). So this appears to be a default issue that I cannot be certain if always was around. Being chased by AI cops in vanilla GTA V doesn't seem to have an issue. Neither does RDE when being chased by them. The helicopters seem fully capable of flying normal. Just during LSPDFR pursuits they fly nuts in vanilla and RDE. Albo posted above and I'm glad he did to bring some attention to it. Maybe there is something there. Though it seems the pursuit AI of helicopters gets worse when RDE is involved. More wild movement and flying than I've seen in vanilla tests. RAGE LOGS RAGE + LSPDFR RAGE + LSPDFR + TRAFFIC POLICER I'm not using it.
  2. RAGE + LSPDFR + SCRIPTS + RDE I did another test will all my scripts including traffic policer and LSPDFR+ just made sure six star response and the .dll was removed. The helicopter was able to pursue just fine. Low altitude and almost hit some obstacles but it did not. At the end of the the pursuit it got really low and hovered. I guess it is okay but not great. Still doesn't explain the random exploding choppers now and then or why they once in a while go crazy. Also something i noticed is that the helicopter's copilot was firing a pistol down at the car the entire time. All officers in vehicles always break windows and point guns at the bad guys car too. Not sure which causes this. But I assume if I don't want the copilot shooting I can just make the helicopter spawn with 1 pilot instead of 2 as in the custombackup.xml. And another test in the same session. SAHP chopper crashed during a long vehicle pursuit. Once the ped fled the ground units stayed at the truck and wouldn't chase the ped. So they don't communicate well with the callout. Which is fine. Choppers were my original goal to figure out.
  3. I made an edit in red text to clear that up. Yes six star was removed. It also was removed in prior testing earlier before this series and had no bearing on what the helicopters did. I will set my game back up the way i had it without six star again and see. Though I think its related to the callouts/scripts for them not chasing the peds. But nothing really says why they fly like idiots all of a sudden. Unless they were always bad in close proximity to objects. But it seems they fly too low.
  4. DO NOT DISMISS THIS LONG POST - PLEASE READ I decided to test a bunch of different mod installs to see if the results proved to be the same. I use JSGME for them and can surely say without a doubt nothing is contaminated with other BS. Test number one was with the install RAGE + LSPDFR. This is purely rage with lspdfr and nothing else. Basically as vanilla as it gets. The results: -A default LSPDFR callout leads to a pursuit. I called in two local choppers with the default backup menu. As expected LSPD choppers respond and they follow the vehicle. With default backup it should be noted that helicopters spawn much closer than they do in RDEs custom backup.xml. The pursuit changed into a foot pursuit and the helicopters chased the suspect who was on foot until arrest. Everything worked as intended. Test number two was with the install RAGE + LSPDFR + SCRIPTS. The scripts include cop holster, traffic control, police radio, arrest manager, better ems, computer plus, lspdfr+, and traffic policer. These are all up to date and readily available to anyone on the scripts download section. The results: -A drug runner callout from traffic policer leads to a pursuit. I use the default backup menu to call for a local chopper. As expect a LSPD helicopter shows up and chases the vehicle. The foot pursuit happens after a crash but the helicopter stays with the car. I call in another local chopper and it flies to the current foot chase and hovers. It no longer follows. Half of the system is broken. *First problem is that this is not a default callout from LSPDFR and the helicopter refuses to follow the person on foot after the car chase has ended but the pursuit is still live. It only hovers at the current position. Test number three was a bit more substantial with my current version of the game that I play with. It is RAGE + LSPDFR + SCRIPTS + RDE. The results: -Pursuit in progress call and as I’m pulling up the vehicle has already crashed and the foot pursuit begins. I call in helicopters from the normal and custom backup menu. When using the custom backup menu for a local helicopter it shows up on the map, I hear a big explosion and it disappears from map. I called more local, SAHP, and FBI choppers who all come to the spot of the bad guy running and hover. They stay and if he runs away they don’t follow. I also called for a backup officer on the ground who drove circles into trees for some reason and even though the bad guy was next to his car he would not respond to it. Only the AI involved in the original call would actively chase the bad guy. -I did another test and removed traffic policer that creates those callouts. This in turn disables LSPDFR+. I also removed sixstarresponse folder and the .dll. A default LSPDFR callout led to a pursuit and three helicopters joined the pursuit that I called from normal and custom backup menus. The first blaine county helicopter was following just fine until it got too low and smacked full speed into some power poles. It is almost as if they are not programmed to follow at a high enough altitude to be safe. The other helicopters had no issue because we hit the open highway with no obstacles. The car chase turned into a foot pursuit. The damaged helicopter landed on the highway and the two others chased after the bad guy until arrest. All worked as planned except for that low flying helicopter. Now you might say well its probably six star response as someone else mentioned earlier. However, my testing was the same earlier. I will put the scripts back in with six star out and test more. -I did another test right after the last one with a pursuit in progress call. Car chase, and foot chase. Helicopters did their job with no issue. So what are the results of all testing? At bare minimum please read this because it is fact based on clean testing. -Helicopters are flying too low and therefore in pursuit mode and slamming into objects at max speed. -Something with custom backup and the RDE script provided makes helicopters explode once in a while as soon as they are spawned in. -Callouts created by traffic policer won’t allow a helicopter or backup AI to track them properly when they leave the vehicle -Traffic policer and LSPDFR+ may be causing some odd problem with the helicopter AI as it does use its own callouts and own pursuit AI. Hopefully we can get other input here before bringing it to the dev of those mods. -Helicopters have proved almost useless as of late but it appears without the above mentioned scripts active they will work. Though helicopter support being down vs what those scripts bring to the table is a hard thing to balance. I hope the problems can be fixed.
  5. If RDE isn't causing it we need to figure out what is to help others. Now the only things I am running are LSPDFR, RDE 3.01 and a couple scripts that are all updated that everyone and their grandmother use. If you're saying that it isn't RDE related and it is related to the rockstar update that could be. I've had these results Foot pursuit - call in helicopter -Helicopter flies over to the spot, puts the spotlight on the bad guy. Bad guy keeps running. Helicopters just float there and don't move. Vehicle pursuit - call in helicopter -Instant explosion sound (this happened twice, no heli on map) -Helicopter shows up and chases down car, but when car slows down or stops the heli wildly cannot maintain altitude. Swings all over the air and eventually crashes and explodes -Helicopter during the chase loses altitude crashes and explodes -Helicopter started to fall from the sky and landed. I inspected it still intact not blown up to have a dead pilot and an alive copilot I'm going to go try it without RDE and just plain LSPDFR and see what my results are.
  6. Anything with white! So they can curse their existence trying to keep it clean.

  8. Then the readme is possibly wrong or outdated. One of the vehicles recently I've seen said installed to patchday5. I don't know which one. I currently use RDE 3.01 and its been a while since I did random cars.
  9. I figured as much and it is alright and appreciated. I did some testing with several pursuits. I thought it fixed it but it did not. I removed six star response and the .dll file out of the scripts folder as did I with arrestwarrant. My first test was a pursuit that turned into a foot chase. I called in helis and they hovered over the foot chase. I thought perfect. One was blaine county and one was SAHP. My second test was a pursuit of a car and two blaine county choppers crashed. I went over to one that didn't blow up. The pilot was dead but the copilot was alive. I don't know how he died. It wasn't like anyone shot at him. The SAHP chopper was flying normal and then LSPDFR plugin crashed. I'll see what happens in the future. I'll play some more another time. But I still believe there to be a flaw in something somewhere.
  10. Double checked the readme file. I know it was pushed out and the lspdfr fix was pushed quickly. So i enjoy that. Though README really should state remove it. In the scripts folder there is ArrestWarrant, FBI, LiveryChanger, and SixStarResponse. I'm going to remove arrest warrant and sixstar. Sometimes while changing vehicles in LSPDFR it will pop up on the screen for arrest warrant when the jet pushes all the cop vehicles away in the station. I'll test and be right back.
  11. Yep, I have the full script folder still in there. That could be the problem. Should I remove the entire script folder for LSPDFR use or just sixstarresponse.
  12. I can verify that I have the 3.01 download and I'm looking in the custom backup xml. I don't use default LSPDFR backup menu. The problem I've been seeing is that they do actually fly. If they use to spawn without a pilot that would mean crash immediately. Though it is like the pilot is drunk. He will wildly dive and pull up. Spin in circles as if the tail rotor is gone. Stupid stuff that is seriously buggy and I've never seen AI fly like that. They have even landed at one point on the road and I saw people in the cockpit.
  13. I'll double check real quick and edit this post but I did download the latest one not the original release when I made this my main mod. But while I'm searching around can you tell me which xml file you want me to look into.
  14. If you have the ASI loader for openIV installed then its probably a wrong patchday folder. Since rockstar likes to jumble all that up. So maybe someone can point you in the right direction. If the vehicle didn't come with a readme telling you where to put it. Then blame them for being lazy.
  15. Using custom backup to call in local air in blaine county or the SAHP air on pursuits with RDEs setup is what I'm doing to replicate the helicopter issues. Just now I used an FBI helicopter from the backup menu and he flew just fine. Hovered over the scene and waited. Though twice before that the other types of air units were acting like they were out of control. They crashed and blew up. Something is causing the issue and it is kinda game breaking since sometimes you really need a helicopter to keep up with the fast ones. Or if multiple bad guys are involved.
  16. This is the one linked in my signature and it worked for me. Though I was disappointed with the cars because of the various lighting in it. IF it ever becomes ELS compatible it will be great. Until then RDE 3.0 for me.
  17. Yes, what I recommend is this Start fresh with plain GTA V. Delete all your mod files and all of that B.S. and verify integrity through steam. Launch the game make sure it works just fine. Then use this: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98607 JSGME is big in the flight simulation world for a mod installer. You know how to have to put files in your game directory for LSPDFR and what not while you use openIV mods folder to protect your core files? Well JSGME is the same concept as the openIV mod files for stuff that normally doesn't use openIV. But if you want to forget all that then do so Clean GTA V Install RDE 3.0 with Open IV (test game) https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/simple-trainer-for-gtav is the trainer that RDE expects you to have. It will have an added models menu and an added vehicles menu in it for RDE stuff Install any scripts you want to run such as callouts, police radio, lspdfr+, ect (test game) and have fun.
  18. Sadly not all devs give a good readme. You may have to search where the file structure is. Also every rockstar update screws with the settings as well. I don't know how you're all setup but I use Realism Dispatched Enhanced. It uses an open iv installer. Gives tons of new vehicles, peds, including females, and it is so easy to use. Until a better pack comes up I'm going to keep using it. I gave up on the manual modding. I prefer people who put the time and effort into the open iv package installers and good readme files to make my life as easy as possible. Those are people I will support and praise.
  19. Usually its a gameconfig issue. It can ruin any number of mods and removing them of course works even if the mod doesn't give you the gameconfig.xml. So download the one from my signature and try it.
  20. I hope something in my signature can help you. Usually it is one of those things that is the main issue. Also disable anti virus.
  21. eh gta iv is old news but gta iv just had an update and some people were saying you need to downgrade to get it to work properly. Also make sure you have the latest hook for gta iv.
  22. Read my signature and make sure you have the latest download of everything. You might be missing one of them. ScriptHookDotNet
  23. It sounds like you need to go ahead and watch some openIV tutorials that they offer. You know it is working when you spawn that model in or the model with the modded texture and see it. You know what all that is in the readme or the name of the file you're replacing.
  24. Nothing is stopping you from making and changing the skins out. It is up to you.
  25. LOL what a genius answer. If you have to restart your PC to fix a problem you done F'd up something on your machine. If you start having to restart your PC a lot to fix problems you might want to look into your malware and antivirus solutions to make sure nothing is running in the background. AVG Free and malwarebytes are good free options. But as far as freezing goes it should not happen as the latest version is working well for me. I've installed it multiple times. So go ahead. Restart your machine, make sure you download the latest RDE. He did release a new version with a patch and try again. Maybe its one of the options it doesn't like. Who knows. Sadly that is troubleshooting for you. Google it as many ways as you can and try to solve it one step at a time.
