  1. LukeD's post in Nothing happens when I press ALT + P was marked as the answer
No you're still installing wrong. If you're using the automatic installer the filepath should be
Program Files (86x) > Rockstar Games > Grand Theft Auto IV > Install here

    Or if you're using steam
Program Files (86x) > steamapps > common > grand theft auto iv > GTAIV > Install here

Your "scripts" folder should only contain one .dll file for LCPDFR.
  2. LukeD's post in Cannot start LCPDFR was marked as the answer
That is, very odd. You clearly have everything set up correctly.

This is a stupid question, you are pressing Alt+P when you get in game aren't you?

EDIT: Yes the plugins folder should be empty, unless you download a plugin.
  3. LukeD's post in Cant change path from diagnostic Tool from EFLC to GTA 4 was marked as the answer
Have you tried to make sure the game runs at this point?

The only thing I can see in the log file which is an LCPDFR error is this line

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

So go into your LCPDFr.ini file and find the line that says "PreloadAllModels = False", change this value to "True" and see if that works.
  4. LukeD's post in LCPDFR 1.0b ALT + P not responding was marked as the answer
Perfect, right what you need to do then is open the diagnostics tool, check the Advanced mode box and then click to check your installation.
Click the open game folder option and then using the window that pops up, navigate to your GTAIV directory and get it to check your install.

Let me know what it says :)

EDIT: missed your edit with the screenshot, right you're missing the microsoft redistributables.

You need to go and get all of those and install them.

Here is the net framework 4.5 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 just in case you don't have that
Here is the 2012 redist http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=30679

  5. LukeD's post in GTA IV fatal error 619723791 was marked as the answer
Ok in that case it could be a lot of things.

You'll hate me for this, what I recommend is doing a clean install of your GTA IV (that means uninstalling then removing all the remaining files)
Once you have done that, reinstall GTA IV and then make a backup of the directory (saves you bothering with redownloading the game from steam every time).

Then install LCPDFR alone and make sure it can run that ok, then repeat this process with each mod you add.
Eventually you will either, get a "perfectly" working game or you will get a crash and know which mod caused it.

    Good choice!

No worries, I'll keep thinking and maybe I will figure out something genius to fix your problem, but yeah gaming pc all the way.
    Good luck :)
  7. LukeD's post in taser was marked as the answer
If you download the manual install package for LCPDFR you can find them in there.
  8. LukeD's post in Taser issues was marked as the answer
That usually fixes all issues :)

    Glad we could help. Enjoy!
  9. LukeD's post in Are my specs enough for a low end ENB? was marked as the answer
16GB of memory AND 16GB of RAM? My goodness that is a lot.
RAM stands for Random Access Memory, it is typically what people mean when they say "memory" for a pc :)

What will cause you the most problems here is your graphics card. The 645 being only 1GB of graphics memory will likely cause more artifacts than a 2GB card would.
Using a low end ENB would be possible on your system. It should cope moderately well. However don't use any high poly car models or you will notice flickering, texture popping and the dreaded red sky of doom. :)

I recommend Game4Video's ENB (or whatever that guy's name is) as it is pretty stable on 1.0.7.0 patch which LCPDFR is dependant.
Typically ENB's are used on the 1.0.4.0 patch. :)

    hope this helps.
  10. LukeD's post in LCPDFR V1.0 Not getting callouts. was marked as the answer
Go into the LCPDFr.ini file and double check the following lines:
[Callouts] MaximumSecondsBeforeNewCallout=300 //Maximum amount of time between 2 callouts MinimumSecondsBeforeNewCallout=60 // Minimum time between two callouts Enabled=True //Are callouts on? (busy/not-busy) Multiplier=250 //The frequency of the callouts within the times above If they seem ok and you still don't get callouts check the lcpdfr.log file for any crashes or warnings, if something says "failed to spawn ped" or "failed to create object" it's probably that.

you could also try using the console command "startcallout [caloutname]", I'm not sure if this is an API feature or a dev command but I've found that if I type in an API callout I'm adding, and get the name of it wrong, it defaults to a random callout. If that works and you get callouts adjust your game settings a little bit as it may be a memory issue, or adjust the settings mentioned above.
  11. LukeD's post in LCPDFR 1.0 Crashes on pursuits was marked as the answer
Which version are you running, 1.0 or 1.0a? did you use the automatic install or the manual install?
Also are you sure you removed the vehicle mods? Did you do a backup of the original files to be sure?

If I were you I would remove all mods and then run just LCPDFR to see if it still happens, then you can reinstall your other mods one at a time and see which one is causing it.

    hope this helps :)

  12. LukeD's post in (EFLC) "OMG" seeing buildings was marked as the answer
The only time I ever see things like this are world files being messed with. In other words map modifications etc.
Trainer's also have this feature because they allow you to edit the world then load your edits. (it's how most people make quick dodgy maps)

I would try on a new save as suggested above and see what happens.

If all else fails, re-install GTA IV and try with just the graphics mods first, if it still happens you know its the graphics mod messing it all up.
For GTA IV on the 1.0.7.0 patch (so you can use lcpdfr as well) I would recommend Game4Video's ENB settings, then just tweak the ini file. I use that with the realityIV mod and the better road textures as can be seen here.

I couldn't use all this plus car mods on a 1GB graphics card by the way, my current card is a GTX 760 (2GB) which allows better graphics detail.
    Hope this helps :)
  13. LukeD's post in ANPR question was marked as the answer
That depends on if you like other mods for roleplay or not.
If you don't want other mods, call it into dispatch and wait a few seconds, the red marker will go and all will be fine, or if you just drive away after calling it in the marker will disappear on its own.

If you do like using other mods you could for example use a vehicle search script to search the car, or you could do what I do and use Abraxas' tow service script and have a pickup come and remove the car.

    hope this helps. :)
  14. LukeD's post in 1.0a - INI File Doesn't Get Read Properly was marked as the answer
    I will succeed :P
On topic, LMS, I did 5 trials of different pursuits just to see what happened.

#1 - Too many cops appeared, roughly 5 extra squad cars and roughly 3 or 4 extra cops
#2 - Only 2 units ever stayed in the chase + me (perfect)
#3 - 1 extra squad car joined the chase (fine with this)
#4 - Chase ended too quickly for it to be picked up by AI (event was caused by another mod)
#5 - 2 cop cars joined, chase ended outside a police station so all other foot police joined, 1 extra cop car showed up at the very end.

Conclusion, it does seem to be working alright, but in the smaller, more compact areas of the map more police units seem to get in on the action. Most noticeable for too many police being present is in Broker.
So if you're reading this and wondering how to get better chases, set the maximum number of cop cars in a chase to 2 or 3, and AVOID Bohan.

I'll continue to see how it goes in different map areas and publish my findings :)
