  1. Thanks for the link; this gave me so much hope. After reverting the necessary files, uninstalling the new version of Social Club and installing this, I was able to get LSPDFR to launch via RPH and load pretty much all of the plugins, but met CTD near the very end. Update: on the second go round, the game loaded and I'm successfully cruising the streets of Blaine County. Thanks again!
This little bugger is amazing for roleplay! Actually gives me a reason to go back to the vehicle and adds a nice layer of immersion. Very stable and have had zero issues. Thanks a lot for the contribution!
  2. Hey, Was hoping someone might be able to help me out; I've replaced the POLICE3 model with the LSSO and was wondering if it's possible to have it only spawn in Los Santos county and the BCSO only in Blaine County? I was using the backup.xml included in the RDE but encountered issues and still noticed the occasional LSSO unit in Sandy Shores. Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated. Thanks!
  3. Great ideas, definitely will stay posted.
  4. This looks great! Any chance you could do LSSO / BCSO / SAHP variations?
  5. Keep up the great progress! Super stoked for this!
  6. My military experience is probably different than yours since I was an Air Force labor and delivery medic stationed CONUS, but I honestly believe the United States should have some form of conscription. I know exactly what you're talking about in regards to high school kids, and that's because the average high school age kid is a selfish asshole, who doesn't know anything at all about real life. Since college has been so heavily emphasized in the US over the past 30-40 years, most kids are expected to go straight to college out of high school, but I think this sets a majority of them up for failure. Why do so many 18 / 19 year old kids drop out of college their first couple of semesters? They have absolutely no self control or self discipline and drop out after partying away from Mum and Da. The military helped me grow up and become less of an irresponsible asshole; I would have likely figured the same things out but in my early 20's.
  7. Agree to disagree; you can't expect everyone who joins the military to like it, even if they do understand the significance of the commitment. I'm no recruiter for the military, and my reasons for separating the Air Force were similar to yours; I felt like Bill Murray in Stripes during my entire enlistment. But I'll be the first to admit, that despite the financial incentives (which really aren't many, especially if you're single), my military experience has helped me immensely personally and professionally simply because of the opportunities it provided. I'm always down for sharing that info.
  8. Here's what I recommend to ANY current high schooler, regardless of career aspirations: join the military right out of high school, and do the initial 4 / 6 year term. The military (any branch) is great for kids right out of high school as it sets out to teach the basics of professional adult skills, and the job experience (regardless of the job, most of the time) far outweighs any credentials. Trust me, a 21-year old military vet is likely to be hired over a recent college graduate with no significant work experience. Not to mention, you join the military and college is paid for; no worries about scholarships, costs, etc. Once you complete your military commitment (who knows, you might be a "lifer" and do 20+ years) and attend college, you'll be paid by the VA to go to school, on top of your tuition and books paid for. Not a bad deal, just don't forget what is involved in a commitment to the military...it's not very different than a commitment to law enforcement.
  9. Thanks for the info, I'm always looking for new ways to add immersion to my policing experience. Will give this a shot.
Really enjoying this texure on the Tahoe and so glad I don't have to see the Interceptor anymore. Keep up the good work!
  10. Does anyone else always have trouble calling the tow truck? 9 out of 10 times I try to call the tow via PoliceRadio I receive a message stating "You need to remove the driver first..." even though the car is completely empty.
  11. Looks great! Any chance the user could eventually customize the background colors, logo, etc via INI?
  12. I do have quite a few other callouts installed so I'll keep this installed and an eye out. This project sounds promising and I like how you release a "daily build". Keep up the good work!
  13. Just played for about 45 minutes with this plugin loaded and didn't receive one callout. As far as I can tell from the RH log, the plugin is loaded successfully by LSPDFR. Do I need to be in Los Santos County / city for these to work?
  14. Looks like the only thing they tweaked was increasing the prop limit; I doubt updating ScripthookV alone will break your .NET / LUA mods. I'm not updating RAGE though until the majority of modders adopt it.
  15. I know this is pretty random and not law enforcement oriented, but I've always thought it'd be nice to be able to actually purchase food / drinks from the many fresh fruit stands / farmers markets out in the rural / coastal areas. As someone who regularly plays as SAHP / BCSO, I think it'd add a nice little touch of immersion for patrols. Would anyone else be interested in something like this?
  16. Hey All, Just wanted to announce that a new ScriptHookV update is available. This might not be significant to RAGE exclusive peoples, however it might be important to those that use the Map Editor. This new ScriptHookV increases the cap number for objects / props to something like 2000 from 200. I haven't noticed any performance issues whatsoever with multiple "maps" loaded, whereas prior to the Scripthook update, even one map would bug out my game. The update also adds official compatibility with latest patches. Just food for thought! Now I can multiple accident and road work maps loaded and actually enjoy the game. www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/
  17. As someone that really likes to roleplay and create logs for all of my sessions, I find it a little frustrating being unable to ID dead perps / victims. It'd be a nice addition to the current system if we had the ability to pull ID's on corpses. Any thoughts?
  18. Love the La Mesa mod, now that station is my SAHP southern HQ :) Now we just need to wait for the ability to edit the vehicles that spawn there and fill it with SAHP as opposed to LSPD. Are you currently working on more SAHP / department station mods? They're great!
