ThatGr8CdnGamer reacted to IronicRainbow in Request? There are none released unlocked. Some modders have a private model of it, such as bugs and PF.

Community Team & Staffing Update (July 28th & August 1st, 2014)
In keeping with the continuous development of the site, we're in the process of making a few changes and additions to the Community Team. As such, LukeD and willpv23 will be joining the team as our newest pair of community moderators.
Luke and Will are both longstanding LCPDFR members and are well known figures throughout the community. Many will know Luke as the author of popular GTA IV script modifications and LCPDFR API plugins like Callouts+. Will, on the other hand, was a staff member on LCPDFR's old SA-MP server, FCRP.
Additionally, we're also going to be making some changes to the International Community forums. This might include the possibility of adding new forums for new languages, and we might take suggestions for these at a later date. In the mean time, however, SuperStumpje will be joining the team as the new Dutch Forum Moderator.
In my original post, I also mentioned that we'd be adding a new member to the team and trying out a new role. Sometimes we're criticsed for dealing with issues concerning modding but not actually having mainstream modding experience. In some ways there's some merit to this, so Sgt.Kanyo will be joining us in an advisory capacity, offering his take and advice on a range of community management and moderation issues. I can't stress enough that the Community Team is exactly what it says on the tin - a team of members who dedicate their time and their effort to the community and its improvement. We're always looking for people that we think can help us with this, and the team here is always committed to delivering the best for everyone. We do have to make some difficult decisions, but it is because we do this that this site is still going and growing.
As always, we hope that everybody will join with us in welcoming our new staff members to the team.
Sam.

ThatGr8CdnGamer reacted to TGM in Your desktop background!Steeves, Hartley and Steeves, Harris covered bridge near Moncton, NB. Hartley Steeves and Harris Steeves were brothers. The Steeves, Harris bridge stood over Bull Creek but was destroyed by a snowplow in the late 80's, the Steeves, Hartley "Dan Cupid/Weldon Creek No. 3" still stands over Weldon Creek, it is still there today. There used to be over 200 covered bridges in NB, they all had a story to them.

Hey, D:SF models are very low poly, I would copy the whole car for LOD_L1. For LOD_L2 I would use the rancher. The different parts are just these blue boxes called dummies:
All you have to do is to take those dummies from the rancher and move them to the right spots. Import the Rancher and delete everything except the dummies:
I see that you have still things to do, but I don't want to write too much in one post. If you have questions feel free to ask!

ThatGr8CdnGamer got a reaction from Element in Chev Blazer conversion (assistance required :) )Hello,
I'm converting a blazer(from D:SF) and assume my next step is to add in the Level of Detail/COL layers, should I just take them from the Rancher as that's the closest model and re-size them, or should I try to create my own?
Also, how do I place the different parts like exhaust, engine, pseat, dseat. (the parts that tells the game where certain things happen.)
I have the brakelight, tailight, and indicatorlight as the same texture, how will I get that to work in game? just multiple light layers?
Finally, am I on the right track with what I have? I'm going in blind, off of videos of gtaSA conversions to GTAIV
Heirarchy:
Thanks, ThatGr8CdnGamer

ThatGr8CdnGamer reacted to CouthInk4 in ***ATTENTION STEAM USERS***Thanks for the heads up! Although i don't play either CS:GO or TF2.
Also, just to add to the OP's topic. if you need anything for a Steam game, whether it be trading cards, profile backgrounds or in game items.. always go to the Community Market. that way you're not being scammed and or being a victim to a virus.
-
ThatGr8CdnGamer reacted to ineseri in ***ATTENTION STEAM USERS***And that is why you always check where links go, read the Steam user agreement (steam will never contact you that way).
Anti-Virus might help those who fall for it, but honestly: Common sense people. It will get you far.

ThatGr8CdnGamer reacted to TGM in [REQ] 1980's Chevrolet SuburbanI wish I knew how to convert whole cars, there'd be so many to convert.... I'd love a 1980's Suburban, there is a civil one over on GTA4-mods.

ThatGr8CdnGamer reacted to gangrenn in FireFighter mod by gangrennHere is a preview of the Medical run callout and the Victim Treatment System (I'm still working on it), I had to turn off the audio at the end, to prevent any content ID with youtube (as music is being played at this café). But you can:
radio in to dispatch, the victim's status ; perform an automated external defibrillator (AED) on the victim ; When the victim is stabilized, you can use the stretcher feature, to move the victim to the ambulance (one of the paramedic will go on the driver seat, and the other one will stay on the rear with the victim), then the ambulance will drive to the hospital, and you can return to your station.

ThatGr8CdnGamer reacted to ineseri in Detective modeIt's a nice idea, but the LCPDFR mod is about a beat cop, and providing the tools to be a beat cop. Maybe it can be done with the API :)
It's playable for me, not sure what you are talking about.

-
ThatGr8CdnGamer reacted to Gump in List Of Unlocked Parts.....All you gotta do is create a cylinder. Set it to "emerg_lights_emis" or whatever and map it. Then copy that cylinder and cover every little diode in that light. Once you are done doing all that. Copy it and put it over the right sides diodes. Then set the left side to extra _2_L0 and right to extra_3_L0 or whatever.
Hope that made sense.
