  1. Why is this world full of such evil people? I just don't understand...
  2. Hah, well done mate. What specs is your pc?
  3. That's actually really good, I don't know what it is but I prefer these kind of videos to the normal patrol videos that hundreds of people put up. Maybe because it shows action, rather than driving around pulling people over... Oh yeah and one more thing- 1:45 nice parking ass hole

Do you mean road cones/lights like this one: Or do you mean an actual flare gun that fires flares?
  5. Such a good idea! I find that police are often seen as soul-less, and doing this will show the community that police aren't something to be feared, but something to be proud of. Really impressed by that
  6. If you're using it on Steam there are a few things you can do, go to your Steam folder in Local files and find GTA- then run it as admin, if that doesn't work right click again then 'Troubleshoot compatibility'. If that still doesn't work, go on Steam, right-click then properties then Local Files and Verify Integrity of Game Cache That should fix it...
  7. This isn't anything special but I like it:
  8. Could be something to do with using Simple Trainer...
  9. Nice- I especially like the FBI/FIB command truck!
  10. Oh my bad- sorry mate. Hope this card serves you a bit better!
  11. You have fairly good processors and RAM. However, I don't believe you can change graphics cards on laptops, although you should check with HP before you rule out switching cards. I suggest running GTA on lowest settings for everything as clearly that will increase performance. You should also try and clean your hard drive up if possible, this will free up space and allow faster data writing and storing. If you need any more help just ask!
  12. Your RAM may possibly be too small, although it should be able to run it. Has your game had this problem from when you first started playing?
  13. Instead of asking for stuff, look around the site and other GTA modding sites. I did however find some for you, this is one of EVI's models; This isn't a border patrol skin ped, but it looks pretty good for it; Hope you find something in there that you like, if not look in the downloads section on this site and GTApolicemods for others.
  14. It's a UK site so I doubt they could ship it to you, and if they could it would be ridiculously expensive...
  15. Thanks to all troops fighting for our freedom. You will not be forgotten
  16. Wow that was really good! Nice touch of adding the radio callouts in the background
  17. Hey guys, As you might guess by the title my pc is really beginning to give me trouble. I got this bad boy about 6 months ago for upwards of £1000 so this is really pissing me off. I was wondering if anyone here could give me any further help. Every so often when I go to shut my PC down, it fails to do so, it gets stuck on the blue screen that says Shutting down- it doesn't! Then when I turn it back on my overclocker fails which means I have to reset all my preferences. And very occasionally my pc won't activate my keyboard or monitor after I wake it up from sleep mode... no reason why. If anyone could help that's be just great. Thanks

  19. I've played a little bit of airsoft, but I'm more into paintball in my rare free time. I must of spent about £1000 overall on it!
  20. There are however 'special circumstances', this can be after a pursuit and to box a suspect in between their vehicles and the officers. Usually rolling into them around 5-10 mph is what I got taught however it varies wildly.
  21. This is an acquired taste of music, but I think it would suit that kind of video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSkb0kDacjs The second one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmc21V-zBq0
  22. Haha well yes we do from time to time if we believe the suspect could be running for a while!
  23. You put forward some interesting points, and its good to see you interested in policing as a career! As before mentioned spend a little time looking at your force's website, this always helps in knowing a bit more about it. 1- What are the different values and virtues a person would need to become a police officer? Does it depend on the position in the department? A question like this is hard to answer, there are so many different values which you could have, but do not need. However, you will not survive a week if you can't take a hell of a lot of abuse, as said before- you NEED thick skin. It would also help if you can easily keep stress down, and be able to get on with the job no matter what. For example, I was involved in a scrap with two youths when one pulled a knife on me, cut about a 1 inch gash just under my eye and proceeded to start a pursuit, I continued through the pursuit as second-car and my colleagues went onto arrest them later. Expect to end up in hospital once or twice- ALWAYS expect the unexpected 2-What are certain studies/majors/degree that you can study and graduate with to help you become a better candidate in application times All I can say is get to the end of school and try to get to college, if not, get experience with a security force to get to the area. Just get as many qualifications as you can! 3-Are certain childhood upbringings(wealthy, middle class, poor, ghetto etc) crucial in developing the ambition/ want to become a police officer. For example, I have no idea why I have always wanted to become a cop, but as I get older I realize I want to be a leader in the community. One who can help many and be looked up to by kids. I want to make a difference by taking away those who do not do good for the community Different upbringings have absolutely nothing to do with anything. No matter what kind of family you're from, you'll have something different to give. 4-As a police officer, what is the primary goal? What criminals do you focus on taking in the most? Does you degree in college/highschool or whatever increase/decrease your chance to get into certain divisions? Degrees always help with getting into different parts of the police, desk jobs do require degrees, pro-active jobs don't so much but they help with getting in. As a police officer in the RCU, our main job is to shut down all illegal road users... not much else. But we also deal with more tense calls for when a taser is required to subdue a suspect. I hope you get the answers you're looking for at some point!
  24. In response to some of those questions you should expect slight variation with answers, different law enforcement agencies have different ways of dealing with these sort of questions. I am going to answer these questions in the way that my own force deal with them. -How/when a cop would and would not use his lights/sirens We'd use them in an 'emergency' usually that would be a call-out from dispatch to any kind of 999 call. However, when we are responding to transport detainees then we'd go without lights, just as we'd run no lights helping a officer that hasn't stated the assistance is urgent. -How/when cops use unmarked or partially marked vehichles For us that always depends on what operation we're taking part in, usually pro-active force officers use unmarked low-range cars to catch criminals in the act. We do however sometimes use um's for maximum stealth! -When a cop would use deadly force When a civilian has been wounded/killed, when an officer is reported as down, or when an officer's life is in danger -When/if a cop would every use his vehicle as a weapon Don't understand the question- I assume you mean hitting people with our cars? NEVER -When would a cop call off a chase When the suspect becomes a 'severe danger on the road by driving extremely recklessly with no regard to human life' -What are the different ways a cop would respond to a call i.e. obeying regular traffic laws/slightly modified traffic laws/going full on lights and sirens full "safe" speed Whenever we activate our lights and sirens we are responsible for ANY damage we cause, from a snapped wing-mirror to killing someone. Therefore to 'cat.4' calls we respond without lights or sirens- usually we only respond without lights to fellow officers because we know they have a better chance of suppressing an assailant than a random member of public. Hope this helps you a bit, however don't feel to do all this in game... even I go on rampages in it from time to time!
  25. [This post is mainly aimed towards residents in the UK, but others can join in too] Hey all, Some of you will have noticed by now that police forces in the UK will have a vote-for-commissioner system, making the police (possibly) more involved with the community, and responding to their needs. As a police officer myself, I feel that this will most likely lead to the election of commissioners who are interested in the local communities rather than 'the big picture'. I think that in time this will lead to collapse of units such as my own, as we are rarely seen around the streets of cities, and we would become a burden. I want to know what you guys think of this, as this starts fairly soon. This should be interesting!
