Some of those screens look pretty neat! But yeah, I've seen the Wartburg. I did find a later version GAZ Volga from the mid-late 1980s though, came in 3 variants, might end up using these in my game: http://www.gta4-mods.com/vehicles/gaz-3102-civilcop--taxi-f24187

Never knew they made stuff For GTA IV! The way I have mine modded is focusing a little more on the PRL itself (albeit with some liberties here and there taken, like UAZ 452s instead of Nysa 522s, LiAZ buses instead of more common Jelsz, Autosan or Ikarus 260 buses, and a couple modern Western cars thrown in here and there. Wonder what CR uses for Police Cruisers. Wouldn't mind seeing a GAZ-24 or 21 (or better yet, 23, the "V8" Volga) out there myself really. I'd be sold on those. Though highly rare compared with the Fiat-132p and FSO Polonez, I could totally reskin one to be a part of the PRL's MO. '>

Some noice sun glare reflections
You know? When they first started using the charger down here as a cruiser, I didn't feel like the biggest fan. But now, I'm starting to quite like them!

Thanks, I myself am a pretty big fan of a lot of the older cars from the East bloc, so that is why they are more prevalent in my screen shots. As for the texture issues, yeah, I've had it for some time, but grown used to it. Will have to try out that command line fix eventually though, as it would be nice not to guess whether or not the road is there the few times when my car finds itself "Floating".

The lady had illegal drugs on her, this guy came at us with a knife, but my partner was able to taze him quickly. When trying to arrest him the game then crashed. :( -

LCPDFR 1.0 - Latest Update
I can understand that. When 0.95 first came out, quite a few folks, myself included found it highly unstable compared to 0.91, and had to stick to 0.91 until a fix came out. Of course, the wait wasn't that long, maybe week or two if I'm not mistaken. For a small team like LCPD:FR, you have to applaud how quick they can get things fixed up there. I'm finding my 1.0 experience more prone to crashing than 0.95RC2, but I also find it getting more stable as time goes on. I'm also finding myself immersed with 1.0 than 0.95RC2 (getting the same 2 calls was getting old). Hopefully when the patch comes out, you might find yourself feeling about 0.95RC2 as many feel about 0.91. Besides, this is the first time that the mod is tested on more than the small handful of computers used by the Dev and testing team, so some big bugs are bound to show up (and you also see it happening with some big budget releases too, as well as other well regarded games when they came out (the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series is that comes to mind).

1.0 — why I'll never get back to 0.95
You hit the nail perfect on the head! While I too have the issues you list, I have found 1.0 to be just smashing fun, even if some sessions (or attempts of would be a better term for it) only last a couple minutes! 1.0 gives a while new level of immersion that I haven't had with the game. I mean the calls (which I feel seem to return more Code 4s than any anything else, though far less repetitive than 0.95RC2's), the ped system, the radio comm system, the built in ALPR. Aside the bug fixes, the only thing I can think of to make it better is to tell what the wants on IDs are for! The Dev team certainly made Christmas for most of us, and I think them for it! Thanks guys, ya'll rock! That's the thing with GTA IV on PC. It's like a person, that the longer it uses something, the more it gets used to it and feels confident handling it!

LCPDFR 1.0 - Latest Update
I've also had something similar, where I had arrested certain ped involved in a shootout, and took them to the station (blue marker), and found that the game had found itself stuck on the "Loading Screen" for quite a few minutes, making me have to force quite GTAIV. I've also had it happen with a drunk driving suspect who I think used the same ped model.

Frisked the guy, found a weapon (surprised that a guy with as many Wants on him didn't even bother to pull it out!) Cuffed him and took him to the station down the road. -

3 Wants on this guy. One thing I love about the new version is not only if the guy is wanted, but how many wants he has. Hopefully future versions will be even more descriptive on what those wants are for! -
LCPDFR on steam?
I agree, I know plenty of people that would like to play as the police officer and not the criminal, and I'm not talking about a Five-Oh like almost every other Police Game out there it feels like.

http://www.gtainside.com/en/download.php?do=comments&cat=420&id=40848 Same guy also made a bunch of other cars from the PRL, amongst other things. Also introduced a late/mid 1990s FSO Polonez cruiser not too long ago either. Here's to hoping he'll bring us a late 1970s/early 1980s one.

Your LcpdFR 1.0 tales and adventures
Some memorable experiences seen thus far: Joining in a pursuit, I manage to catch up to it around the corner with my car, when I find him entering a Dodge Ram pickup. He then attempts goes on a chase and finds himself crashed, gets out of the vehicle, and runs to a parked cruiser before anyone can arrest him. We eventually catch up to him, but it was one of the less common chases I've had, and the first one experiencing the improved AI behavior. ____________________________________________________________ Another one was when I attempted to pull over a brown ZAZ-968M for running a red light. The Driver really knew how to get that thing going, and after some displays of reckless driving from him, I finally got into a position where I could PIT him safely with no risk to peds or other traffic. All of a sudden the Zaporozhets had shown it's reputation for being easy to roll over, and a couple hundred feet later, had 5 or 6 units surrounding his rolled over ride. ____________________________________________________________ Another had to do with a series of things going on. First I pull over a beater Zaporozhets missing his tail lights, I check him, and the kid never even been pulled over once (something I've never seen on the computer before), so I give him a warning to get that fixed up or get fined next time. Then I my partner points out that there is a drug deal coming out RIGHT NEXT TO US. We get both perps, frisk them, and find the items on them. After getting those guys dealt with an ALPR picks up another beater Zaporozhets that had been involved in fleeing a crime scene. So I pull the guy over, and the database said his License had expired. Either way, I had to bring him in so at least he could be questioned and checked out to make sure it was him. Afterwards, I do an inspection, and check his engine compartment (Zapos have their engines in the back), I find a weapon that may have been involved and report the car to dispatch. Immediately after dropping off the suspect at the station, I go back on patrol and at the next corner I run into a drunk person (to which my partner immediately loses control and takes down the drunk person, including 2 other people around with an Uzi.) Nothing odd about this (other than the last one) in terms of what they were, but the rapid succession they were showing up in was certainly something new to me! Amazing how a single kid missing tail lights on a beat up car had helped start a series of events like that. ____________________________________________________________ Last one involved a supposed deal going on. I stopped both perps and frisked one, which had a weapon on him, I let my partner deal with him immediately after that. Then I go to the other person, and frisk her, and found that she possessed some illegal drugs. While getting ready to arrest her, this psychotic lunatic tries to stab me, while my partner is tasering him. After I deal with her and get a backup/transport unit to arrive, I go to the suspect who tried to stab, and once I get him to stop, the game crashes on me. Gotta say, apart from the obvious issues, it is getting more stable on this machine, and am having some memorable moments.
