CA CompuLite *Charges and Citations with actual Codes*
The sentences for "Warrant for Arrest" and "Failure to Appear" are incorrect. There is no sentence for having a warrant. Having one is not a crime. I set the fine to $1000 and the jailtime to min_months="0" max_months="1", but realistically there shouldn't really be anything for it. There is a sentence for failure to appear, but it's between 6 months and 3 years; there's apparently also a fine up to $4000 or $5000 or $1000, I don't know, laws are confusing. I set the fine to $3000 and the jailtime to min_months="6" max_months="36". Not sure about the validity of the rest of the charges, but a few random searches are pretty accurate. This is realistic, but isn't an entire lawbook of charges like other CompuLite edits. Good stuff.

LSPDFR: Consistency and Continuance
Sort of similar thing happens to me already: there's this very specific ped, I forget his name, but I think part of it is "Abdul". I have pursued and arrested Abdul maybe three separate times now. All pursuits. Same guy, too: bald, wearing some sort of jersey or t-shirt, vaguely Middle-Eastern. Great guy. Waiting for call number four.

Would an LSPDFR "speedrun" be feasible?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this. This isn't, like, a 100% serious suggestion or whatnot, I just had this shitty idea after watching Summoning Salt all day. So, LSPDFR. It's an open world police simulator. Unlike GTA V, there's no plot or goal to LSPDFR; you just chase and arrest peds. So it's impossible to speedrun by its inherent nature, right? Anyways, hear me out: So, you install a relatively popular, supported, and functioning callout pack. Then you hop in game and start forcing those callouts in any order, the goal being to complete all of the callouts in the pack in the fastest time possible. There'd be different strategies for these too, such as "standard%" (complete the callout the way it's meant to be finished), "lethal%" (complete using only lethal force), "pacifist%" (complete using only less-lethal force, any kill is an immediate fail), and probably even "force%" (force end all the callouts as fast as you can; hey, there's literally a Minecraft speedrun category for dyeing sheep certain colors). Obviously, these wouldn't ever become formal speedruns. Different mods can interfere with certain functionalities, and even something like having StopThePed or a slightly newer version of a specific callout pack or LSPDFR would probably require a whole new category. Plus, having to manage all the runs and whatnot, even with magically streamlined categories, would be a nightmare. But I think the idea of an informal LSPDFR "speedrun" would be fun, to get through callouts like that quickly and efficiently. It'd be unique, at the very least.

Urban Callouts
Well-made callout pack. Suspicious Cargo is the most fun callout in LSPDFR. Seriously, if Rockstar made LSPDFR, Suspicious Cargo would be in the game from release. That's how good it is: it plays like an actual, official Rockstar mission, like GTA Online's Contact Missions or business resupply missions if they were good. The only downside to this pack is that the rest of the callouts aren't like that: they're pretty typical and featureless, and in some cases literally nothing happens and you can resolve the call in less than a minute. It's not really for me, since while I enjoy those normal callouts every now and then, I find that they can be pretty boring and tend to have issues often. But other than that, this callout pack is very well-made, and I recommend it if you're looking for a pack with a mix of everything.

Uploading a texture I edited
So, I have about five-or-so textures for medic4523's Ford E-450 Ambulance. They're all LAFD textures. However, they're all mostly just edits of CombatWombat's LAFD RA 88 texture. Three are essentially just unit number replacements, one just changes the rear markings, and one is a full, practically new edit (image below). I'm new to this stuff, and I don't know who I'd ask for permission. CombatWombat hasn't been online since 2020, so I can't ask them, and I don't know if I need to ask medic4523 either. I don't want to upload the textures and get blasted for stealing or editing without permission, if it's considered those. Am I allowed to upload these textures, do I need permission, or am I just not allowed to upload them?

GTA V crashes right before loading plugins
Final update: I'm an idiot. So, I had this problem again while installing a dlcpack, and I decided to test things out. I removed that specific dlcpack and loaded the game again. It worked. I wasn't sure what the issue was with that specific dlcpack, so I began looking it up for a lot longer than I did before. All the answers mentioned the addon gameconfig. "Weird," I thought, "I already have that, and the only difference between each version is the number of traffic cars and peds that spawn." Then I realized something. You know how I said I reinstalled my mods folder? I forgot to reinstall gameconfig, because I mistakenly thought I already had it installed. I forgot that, unlike heap adjuster and packfile limit adjuster, gameconfig has to be installed to the mods folder. So yeah, for anyone else who sees this, that's probably the solution. But still, don't fuck with your mods folder.

2005-2011 CVPI LAPD PACK [ELS]
In a world where most LAPD vehicles on the site are just glorified skins with inaccurate liveries or markings, and where most cars aren't even LA-area departments anyways, it's nice to see something like this. Detailed, accurate, and looks really damn good. Practically a necessity if you're using LAPD vehicles. The headlights look meh in my opinion, and I'd prefer if they were clearer, but it's not super noticeable and I can live with it.

LSPDFR crashing on duty (again)
Okay, I fixed it. It was a duplicate in UltimateBackup's CustomRegion.xml that I swear wasn't there when I ran through it twice to ensure it was clean. I'll keep this here in case I find a third game-breaking bug that turns out to be the smallest shit. This game, man. I swear.

LSPDFR crashing on duty (again)
Because the only response to my question on the Unofficial LSPDFR Support Server was "try google" and nothing else, here I am again for the second time today. I did not want this day off to be fully dedicated to LSPDFR bugs, but here we are. So, my game is crashing when I go on duty. It occurs midway through loading my callout plugins. I've had this issue before, but this is different: this one apparently doesn't mean anything. If I'm reading it correctly, the problem here is (in bold): I "tried google" as that helpful user told me, and got literally nothing, which is great. It'd be nice if I knew where that line 199 was, or what the hell the issue even is to begin with. While you're here, I have a slightly different issue on the side: for some reason, my unmarked CVPI in the police4 slot has a slight livery design for no reason. I checked the texture files for pretty much all of my cars, including police4, and I can't find what's causing this issue. It wasn't like this before, and screenshots of the same car don't have this issue. The vehicle in question is from Hanako's unmarked LAPD CVPI pack, and the model itself is bcv04. UPDATE: I fixed the unmarked CV issue. I just forgot to rename something to police4 in carvariations, and I guess the game thought this was the solution to that problem. I still have that LSPDFR crash issue though, and it's basically ruined my day since I wanted to actually play this game today. RagePluginHook.log

GTA V crashes right before loading plugins
So, I did that thing where I renamed my mods folder to _mods (except it was actually before Chris replied; regardless I almost forgot to do it so thank you anyways Chris), and I found the game worked. After looking through everything, I said "fuck that lol", deleted my mods folder, and reinstalled it, but this time I didn't rename any dlcpacks. I even took a risk and added a completely new addon car, an FPIS that I don't really plan on using, but whatever. It worked. I'm not sure how, but I'm guessing it was renaming my dlcpacks. So I guess I won't do that. So, uh, moral of the story: the more disorganized your mods folder, the better.

GTA V crashes right before loading plugins
Sorry for making another "my game crashed" thread, but this one is perplexing me since there doesn't seem to be a reason for it. This began after I reinstalled my mods folder and all my mods with it. The game crashes while loading, right before it can start loading plugins. If it helps, I have EUP, SUP, VisualV, and Better Radiance, though I had them installed on my older mods folder and everything worked fine. However, there are some things I'm a bit suspicious of that might be causing this: I installed UltimateBackup+ and edited the presets to my liking; I renamed some units, replaced the Dirt Bike unit with a motorcycle unit, and removed several units I did not feel I would use. I'm pretty sure I did the formatting correctly. Note that UltimateBackup+ is the only new mod I have installed in the past day or so. I renamed several of my addon car dlcpacks; for example, I renamed one called "lapdcvpi" to "police". I also replaced instances of each old name in the content and setup2 files. I renamed several light and siren values for some cars so they could match the vehicle they were named after; for example, I named one siren "police4". I did not name the files. As far as I know, the names of these values do nothing. When adding my car replacements, I only edited the vehicle files (vehicles.meta, carcols, carvariations) for the vehicles that did not have a dlcpack or their own vehicle files, meaning I only actually changed it for about four cars. 2005-2011 CVPI LAPD PACK [ELS]
Absolutely amazing car pack, probably the best LAPD Crown Vic model on the site. Is it possible for you to add a version with normal, clean headlights? I get it's supposed to symbolize the car's age, and it's quite unique for that reason, but eh, it'd be better if they were clean. Maybe it could be an optional texture or something.

[ELS] 2014 LAPD Dodge Charger
Very, very high-quality vehicle. However, I'm having a few issues. When I use the lights, the fender lights don't turn on, and the brake light flashers don't seem to flash (I think; I remember seeing the Charger's brake light flashers work once, though I might be confusing that with another Charger mod I have). And when I use the lights with the pushbar, the only lights on the pushbar that flash are two white lights on the front-left and bottom-right flashers (viewed from the front). I installed the vehicle per the instructions, and I've double-checked and reinstalled about three times now. The brake light and fender light issues aren't super major to me (I didn't know they were an issue until today), but the pushbar thing is pretty jarring. Do you know what could be causing this? EDIT: Nevermind, fixed it. Turns out I needed SirenSetting Limit Adjuster. Got that, put it in, and it works perfectly now. Great stuff, KLE0.

Changing police cars that spawn in traffic
Every other Google search result for this is actually about add-on cars and replacing the actual police car models and textures, so here's a question that no one has apparently asked before. So, I'm using a mod that replaces police4 with an unmarked LAPD Crown Vic (props if you know which one I'm talking about). Good stuff, right? I like that mod. However, for some reason, the SAHP units that spawn on the highways and stuff all drive police4, and I don't know why. That means, in realistic terms, the CHP is using nothing but unmarked Crown Vics from a different department, and that's something I kind of don't want. My SAHP vehicles are fbi and fbi2, and I'd like to use those for SAHP spawns instead. I also want to reduce how often police2 spawns in the city, as with the mods I'm using, the vehicle I use for police2 isn't really as common in real life as it is in-game. How would I go about doing this? If it helps, I have Ultimate Backup and EUP, though I don't have EUP outfits applied to AI police and I edited my Ultimate Backup xmls to spawn the proper cars (meaning the SAHP using police4 isn't an issue for backup). As a side question, how would I also change which vehicles show up under each department in the police garage? Because in the garage, police4 is under SAHP; likewise, I also want to remove what appears to be three versions of fbi2 from NOOSE, since with the mod I have for fbi2, practically nothing changes between each NOOSE variant.

LSPDFR forced termination when going on duty
So, funny story: the vehicle I used has a vehicles.meta file with it that you copy and paste in there, y'know, but what I missed was that said file didn't assign the vehicles.meta code or whatever to a specific vehicle, just to "slot". So I fixed that and it worked. ...For the most part, because it crashed again, this time on a pursuit call: RagePluginHook.log

LSPDFR forced termination when going on duty
I'm small-braining at this good hour. Does this mean the vehicle I have for the police (LSPD Stanier/Crown Vic) slot is broken or something? Or is this "POLICE" full caps model different from the "police" lowercase model? I'm really new to this, so it's not like I know what's going on, though I was certain the vehicle I used for that slot works. And is that the entire issue, just that police model?

LSPDFR forced termination when going on duty
Per the title, LSPDFR is terminating every time I go on duty. I've tried renaming "mods" to "_mods", "LSPDFR" to "_LSPDFR", updating RageNativeUI, removing and reinstalling all of my plugins, setting threshold timeout to 60000, everything short of reinstalling LSPDFR and RPH. No dice. The plugins or addons or whatever that I have installed are ELS, EUP, EUPFR Basic, EUP Menu, CompuLite, Stop The Ped, and Ultimate Backup. I'm almost certain everything is up-to-date, though please let me know if I'm wrong. Attached is the log file, if anyone bothers to help (seeing last time I made a forum post it died immediately). Some questions about modding and updating
So, even though I joined this stuff in 2017 or something, I have little to no experience with modding GTA V, because back then I realized my computer was terrible and couldn't handle anything, then I realized I forgot to make a backup copy, so I panicked and undid everything. Then I forgot LSPDFR existed for two years, played GTA Online, realized you don't play GTA Online, and decided to get into LSPDFR because some jackoff decided it was funny to make the Oppressor Mk II 50% off on Black Friday. I was actually about to finish modding my copy this week. Then, on the day I decided to start replacing cars, Rockstar Games announced they would be adding Franklin Clinton to GTA Online literally next week, so now I'm just waiting for that to happen before modding. I had a modded copy with LSPDFR and RPH installed, and I deleted it about an hour ago. Anyways, a few questions that I couldn't find the answers to on Google: A few posts I've found seem to imply that the contents of each update are located solely within the update.rpf file, and updating a modded copy just requires you to replace the old update.rpf with the new update.rpf. Is this true, or would I need to fully replace the modded copy? Basically, how would you go about modding a duplicate copy of the game? (the big question here) I used the LSPDFR uninstall file to uninstall LSPDFR, but simply deleted the modded copy to remove RPH. Did I break anything? Are relatively minor mods such as car replacements and sounds affected by title updates? What mods would I need to wait to update, aside from requirements like LSPDFR, RPH, and SHV? What's the difference between EUP, EUPFR Basic Configurations, and EUP Menu? Do I actually need any of those, or is the default uniform customization enough? Does LSPDFR work on an incomplete save file? I currently have two save files (one is my first save with Story Mode completed, the other is my newer replay that's around the middle of the game), and I'm wondering if my actions there would screw with things like missions, random encounters, or character stats. Thanks in advance.

GTA 1 Inspired Police Patrol
I looked at this and I thought "holy shit, people mod the 2D universe GTA games?" Then I realized that this guy's got balls of not iron, not gold, not steel, but pure fucking platinum: Wild.

Ford Police Interceptor Sedan To Be Discontinued
I was fucking heartbroken when I heard Ford was gonna discontinue sedans, man. They come out with the Police Hybrid, now this? I was just warming up to the Taurus! Ah well. They're bringing out a 2020 Explorer, it looks fucking wildly aggressive, and, hey, who knows? There might be a Focus police package, or maybe some weird four-seater version of the Mustang that cops can use. Plus, some depts (namely the LAPD, Denver PD, OPP, and Grand Ducal Police) plan to use the Tesla Model S (Grand Ducal Police already have two). The LAPD says they'll begin using them once the prices drop (The Model S costs about $95,000, stock). And, hey, we have Chevrolet and Dodge to turn to if things get cold. Sure, Chevrolet's cutting the Caprice (Holden went bye bye because they realized they're in Australia), but that looked like shit anyways. And the new Charger looks good (but what'd be better is a Durango, mhm).

Embarassed To Have Ask ... Vehicle Model Installation?
Just adding, you don't have to be embarrassed about asking stuff like this. Those guys that install dozens of different models and packs for videos and self-enjoyment didn't just wake up one day and learn how to do it. Shit takes time. Hell, I'm always somewhat worried when I mod, because even though I use a mods folder, I'm still worried I might fuck something up.

Scuds' CA stuff
Yikes, a year late. Anyways, uh, sorry for budging in: the LAPD tested a handful of Impalas in 2008 or so to see if they were going to be a good choice for a large, urban West Coast city that primarily focuses on roads. Seeing the LAPD kept buying CVPIs until discontinuation, you can tell it didn't leave the public testing stage. I think they're still in the fleet, and as steinberg said, they're likely rare. I don't live in Los Angeles (or the United States), but when I look up "LAPD Impala", I either get (often) the same images of their testing phase Impalas on the street or GTA mods.

Is there any pack of LAPD and LASD models?
If you wanted a quality LAPD car pack, I'm sorry, because the only quality pack got taken down by the author under the guise of an update. Now it's just tediously inaccurate "LAPD/LSPD" liveries that don't support ELS. If you wanted LASD, they're mainly just Crown Vics scattered around.

We need a proper, all in one, California Pack.
Sorry if this somehow counts as a bump, but if you guys didn't note this yet, TwistedScopes said he wouldn't be bringing back the LA Pack, so everyone should stop asking him about updates or it's availability. Unfortunately, the entire modding community takes this as a "it might be around soon though!!!", so they make very nice looking 2016 Chargers and Tahoes with those weird wrap-around headlight-protecting pushbars that look like fucking police Christmas trees. Let's not forget the dozens of packs based off small towns, too. Mmm. Okay, but seriously, does nobody care about this game's setting anymore? Why are we outsourcing LAPD/LSPD skins and cars to the less-skilled guys who tend to make some errors, while we just make cruisers from the Midwest? What the fuck?

Fictional 2016 ELS LAPD Dodge Charger
Just to clear up this religious hellhole comment section before it goes too far, ahem, LAPD cruisers don't have "IN GOD WE TRUST" on their trunk. They don't have anything aside from maybe their division number on the trunk. LAPD cruisers are quite minimal, after all. You don't need to make a "new file" without the words. Just remove it, because the LAPD doesn't have text on their trunks anyways.
