Getting into making liveries lately, looking for any constructive criticism
Hey there you wonderful people! I'm still very, very new to making liveries and was hoping to get some feedback on what I've been working on lately. All my work is done in GIMP. Let me know what you think! BCSO: I'm fairly happy with how these turned out, except that the stripes on the vic's rear bumper got screwed up somehow. Need to fix those. LSPD Crown Vic: Kinda "meh" on this one, personally. I like the color scheme, but the bars on the side didn't behave how I wanted them to once they were imported into OpenIV. That and I totally forgot to angle the text in line with the car.

Traffic Control
Anyone else have a bug where they can't remove roadblocks after creating one? I've tried re-binding the keys, updating the necessary plugins, etc, nothing seems to work. I can still place down a roadblock, just can't remove it.

[REL] Traffic Control - Close off the road while you investigate and clear a scene!
Don't know if anyone will see this, but I had a small issue and was wondering if I was the only one. When I first fire up LSPDFR and use this script it works just fine for a while, then maybe 30/40 minutes in, I'm suddenly unable to clear the road and let traffic through again. It lets me stop traffic just fine, but I can't remove the blip/stopped traffic area.

What's your favorite area to patrol in?
I have a couple go-to places. If I'm playing a sheriff unit it's almost always either Sandy Shores or Paleto Bay. For the city I pretty much stick to Davis or Rancho, that's where all the fun stuff goes down.

Having some issues installing vehicle mods (Not appearing in game)
Well not to jynx anything, but it looks like a new mods folder did the trick. Thanks for your help though, it's much appreciated!

Having some issues installing vehicle mods (Not appearing in game)
Sadly that didn't help with the patchday19 issue. I'll just get rid of my current mods folder and start from scratch, not the end of the world.

Yes, I did.

Thank you. I did try that, specifically with patchday19, and it just crashed my game completely. Now I'm really lost.

Having some issues installing vehicle mods (Not appearing in game)
Hey all, I'm jumping back into LSPDFR after a little break and I'm having some trouble, specifically with installing vehicle models. I think the previous update screwed something up, because when I went to play today all my vehicle models had somehow reverted to the vanilla game ones. So I downloaded a couple packs just to get going and followed Albo's tutorial: However, this method doesn't seem to work anymore (it did the last time I tried it a few months back). The correct models show up in OpenIV, but the cars in the game are still the vanilla models. Any help would be very much appreciated.

What are some good resources for learning how to model weapons?
Thanks for the input, much appreciated. Since it sounds like it's easier to just import existing models from another game into GTA, are there some tutorials around on how to do that? My google-fu has been pretty weak so far.

What are some good resources for learning how to model weapons?
Hey all- My apologies if this isn't the right place for this topic, so mods, feel free to move if necessary. I've been toying around with the idea of creating my own custom weapon models for GTA and LSPDFR. More specifically, I'd like to add in something like an M&P9, or a Glock 19. Are there any good tutorials out there? I've tried googling but all I've gotten was how to add pre-existing skins and models to the game, not create them yourself.

First attempt at skinning; Albany county, WY inspired Sheriff
I'm not at the point where I'm even remotely comfortable releasing this (unless someone really, really wants it) but it's my first attempt and I'm fairly happy. Looking at it I'll probably change the front bumper back to white, and I still need to add a few more little things, but I'm fairly happy with the result so far.

LSPDFR 0.4 - The Technology
This looks absolutely amazing! I'm really looking forward to the update, it seems like we'll get a lot more "spontaneous" events happening which I really love. Sometimes LSPDFR can get a bit repetitive knowing that the AI can only react in a couple different ways. This definitely looks like it'll spice things up.

Recommendations for vehicles that work well in first-person?
Apologies if this isn't the right section. Mods, feel free to move/remove if necessary. I know I'm probably weird for this, but I much prefer playing LSPDFR in first-person mode. That's what I'm used to from other games, and it feels a bit more "real" to me that way. But the issue I have is that aside from certain vehicle types (such as the CVPI and Tahoe) it can be pretty tough to drive that way. For example, if I'm using a Charger or Taurus and pull up to a traffic light, I can't see when it turns green because the roof is in the way. Are there any vehicle models aside from the CVPI/Tahoe that have a bit more room to look around/see stuff, or any mods that might help? Thanks!

Traffic Policer (Breathalyzer, Traffic Offences, Speed Detection & more)
I think I'm having an issue that's related to this script. Whenever I use any feature (breathalyzer, speed detection, etc) some random ped(s) appear out of nowhere and start shooting at me. It doesn't seem to happen with any other scripts, only when I use a traffic policer feature. Any ideas? Edit: Found the solution, it wasn't traffic policer. For anyone else with this problem: If you've got a trainer installed, look for an option that spawns hostile peds (or just search for "page up" or similar) and then delete/change that keybinding.

ELS - No lightbar, only brakelights turn on
Thanks, and update: I restarted my computer a THIRD time and for some reason it works now. No idea what's up with that but I'll take it. Thanks for your help!

ELS - No lightbar, only brakelights turn on
Sure thing. Tried uninstalling/restarting again, still no change. Here's the log files- ASI: ELS:

ELS - No lightbar, only brakelights turn on
Everything's as it should be, and it doesn't look like anything's changed from when I last played.

ELS - No lightbar, only brakelights turn on
I fired up GTA V today to play some LSPDFR. I noticed that none of my ELS light stages work; the only change that happens is that the rear brakelights flash when the 3rd light stage is selected, none of the lightbars or other emergency lights work. I've tried uninstaling/re-installing the ASI Loader and OpenIV.ASI, restarting my computer, restarting steam, re-installing ragehook, all to no avail. I'm not getting any errors popping up when I start the game or RH, and everything else seems to be working just fine, just not the lights. I haven't installed any new cars or changed any configurations since I last played (two days ago) when everything was working fine. Any help would be much appreciated!

Code 3 Callouts
So I seem to be getting callouts (I can hear dispatch sending them out) but don't get any dialogue box or anything allowing me to accept them. Hitting Y doesn't work either. The only other callout mod I have is LSPDFR+

LSPDFR Computer+
For some reason I can't seem to write citations/arrest reports. There's just no option that I'm seeing for it, what screen would those options be on? When I'm on the vehicle screen there's a dialogue box in the upper corner with the "pick one" option, but the only option I have is "Blip (30 seconds)".
