Do you have any script mods installed?

If you have a mods folder, rename it to _mods and see if the crashing continues

The issue is likely with your ASI loader then, open OpenIV and uninstall the asi managers, restart your pc and then install them again, manually reinstall the latest ScriptHookV also

    Hi Max911,

LCPDFR crashes certainly became all too familiar. People have it easy now with LSPDFR handling things that LCPDFR would have folded on. This project sounds great! It would be nice to be able to jump back into some LCPDFR.

I'm not sure if I am reading about your methods wrong, but are you aware that LCPDFR is open source? https://github.com/LMSDev/lcpdfr_public

    Hello,

Open task manager and make sure there are no GTA processes running. You might need to restart your PC

Greetings - I've never played GTA but bought it as soon as I found LSDPFR. I'm now two weeks in, struggling with all the setup but having a blast. Law Enforcement was my first career plan as a kid (over 50 years ago now,) but life took me elsewhere. This is a kind of fantasy wish fulfillment, and I'm excited to dig in and join the fun. Hope to rely on folks here for help and advice and comraderie, and to offer it back when I've got something valuable to say. Be Well!

Are you able to load GTA normally, without RPH?

Try renaming your mods folder to _mods and see if the crashing continues

    Hello,

    Welcome to LCPDFR.com

It sounds like you have the missing interior bug, please use the updated version of RPH and LSPDFR for this, available when downloading LSPDFR Enhanced Preview:

If you are still experiencing issues afterwards, please upload your latest RagePluginHook.log from your main game folder

    Yes.

LSPD First Response: ExternalPoliceComputer: [Error] Loading aborted. CommonDataFramework didn't load.
LSPD First Response: Policing Redefined: [DEBUG] Initialized: AmbientUnderInfluenceController.
LSPD First Response: Policing Redefined: [DEBUG] Setting 'A_F_Y_BUSINESS_01' as drunk.

It's strange to me that EPC says CDF is not loaded, even though it's installed.
LSPDFR crashes as soon as PR tries to set a random ped drunk as an event.

Please reinstall PolicingRedefined and replace all files.

You make a very good point. I think with enhance the process of modding and some restrictions on EUP and custom cars might be a factor in why people might not want to switch. But if I am wrong then please do correct me.

As for the DLS situation, it is quite late to really make any big switch or change as you mentioned. But I hope at least by posting something, some people will at least give it a try and see the benefits it has. Thank you for engaging with my post I really appreciate it.

    Hello everyone!
I honestly never thought I'd be making a topic like this in 2026, but here we are.
For the past month I've been working on something that I know many old LCPDFR players have wanted for years:
A fully functional version of LCPDFR for GTA IV: Complete Edition.
Like many of you, I grew up playing GTA IV and LCPDFR. I started modding GTA when I was around 10 years old and over the years I've learned 3D modelling, vehicle creation, map modelling and C++ programming. I'm far from calling myself a professional developer, but I've always enjoyed reverse engineering and recreating systems while keeping them as close to the original experience as possible.
One thing that always frustrated me was how unstable LCPDFR became over the years. Back on version 1.0.7.0, random crashes were simply accepted as "part of the experience." When Rockstar replaced the legacy version with GTA IV: Complete Edition, things became even worse because the original platform LCPDFR was built for essentially disappeared.
Instead of giving up, I decided to see whether it would be possible to make LCPDFR work on Complete Edition.
Over the last month I've been reverse engineering the ScriptHook and AdvancedHook loaders together with the LCPDFR DLLs, analysing how the event managers, handlers and internal systems communicate. Using AI as an assistant for repetitive analysis and my own C++ modifications, I've started rebuilding compatibility layer by layer.
    Current Progress
✅ LCPDFR loads on GTA IV Complete Edition (1.2.0.59)
✅ Modified DLL loaders adapted for Complete Edition
    ✅ Major internal systems reconstructed
✅ Roughly 50–60% of the project completed
✅ Significantly improved stability compared to the original setup
The goal isn't simply to "make it launch."
My goal is to create a version that feels like the original LCPDFR while running reliably on modern systems, including Windows 11, modern ScriptHook environments and DXVK. If everything goes according to plan, I'd like to achieve stability close to 99% uptime with little to no random crashes.
This isn't intended to replace the original developers' incredible work. Quite the opposite—this project exists because I want to preserve it and make it playable again for today's community.
If there's enough interest, I'll continue posting development updates, screenshots, videos and technical breakdowns of what has already been achieved.
I'd also love to hear what features or systems people would most like to see working again.
Maybe it's finally time to bring LCPDFR back to life.
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Hello , ( the moderators in here are top notch 👍🏽) good job with the quick responses guys lol

You said : The only exception to this is if the model is not available anywhere and you have permission from the author to upload it.
    👇👇

But thats exactly what i mean though. Ive done this before in the past . Normally what i do is I speak to the author about purchasing a vehicle that has not yet been uploaded to LCPDFR nor anywhere else. So that once i buy it , i can upload into the "model" category with my livery attached to it. In simpler terms , i BUY the vehicle model that has never been uploaded, you can say i buy the permission as well if you wanna look at it that way. Sometimes i even pay for them to CREATE one for me from scratch and once i upload it I make sure to give the creator(s)/author their credits under the "credits" section. It may sound crazy but im basically willing to pay good money in exchange for a vehicle AND authors permission to upload. I do it all just so my own personal livery creation gets the exposure i want it to get . We all been in this community for years so I think we can all agree when I say that vehicle livery category gets WAYYY less exposure than vehicle models section. Which is why I never had an issue paying someone what they ask for when it comes to selling me their work.

So when you said you've never seen someone who sells vehicle models allow someone to reupload their paid model for free , its never free lol . I dont just pay for the model, its almost like im paying for the permission to re-upload as well. As long as i mention them in the credits the creators/authors dont mind. Except i dont expect you guys to know that part because payment process and negotiations all happen in DMs or behind the scenes ( Discord etc ) So i understand where youre coming from too.
