    Hello everyone,

    I hope you're having a fantastic springtime and looking forward to the summer!

    It's been a long time since we've posted a website roundup update, but there's a few changes we're really excited to let you know about. Some of these changes you may have already seen, some will definitely be new.

    File Tagging System Rollout
    We've started Phase 1 of our file tagging system rollout. This update went live today and additionally we've spent some time tagging the first few pages of Vehicle Models to introduce you to it.

    A look at some files with new tags, different tag types are distinctively coloured.

    One of the reasons we have not used the built-in tagging system that comes with the software we are using is because it lacks a lot of features a community our size needs. The new home-grown solution combines the tagging solution that comes with our software natively, but extends it with many features:
    The ability for our moderation staff to manage tags Tag "categories" with distinctive features, for example; Vehicle Brands, Vehicle Year, System Tags Ability for us to easily see tag use Ability for members to easily navigate tags Ability for authors to find the tags they want to apply easily, and with tag categories, ensure they're picking the correct tags. System and gated tags. For example, the tags fivem and lml will be automatically applied to files and cannot be applied manually. Certain tags can also be gated as author-only, or site-staff only for future expansion. We have started the system today with some vehicle-specific tags (Vehicle Brand, Vehicle Year and Vehicle Country). More tags and tag categories will come as we move into the other phases of this new tagging system.
    If you've got any feedback on what tags and tag categories we could further add, feel free to leave feedback on this post.

    Here's a small list of what we're working on for future updates:
    Community and reputation based tagging (users can tag old files to help tag files which are never going to be updated) A new part of the site where you can see all tags on a certain page, and sort by their uses. Automatic tagging based on image analysis and OCR. A page where anyone can recommend tags (and perhaps tag categories) which can be voted on. Making it easier to tag files, by not allowing arbitary input into the tag box.

    Using the new downloads tag page to find tags that have files you're interested in.

    Authors, you can get started today tagging your files, just hit the 'Add Tag' button next to your file title.
    Tagging is always optional, but helps users find your file in the sea of uploads.

    A short video showing how to tag files.

    AI alt-text and Image Precheck
    We now automatically generate an alt-text for all images uploaded. You can see these on image attachments on the forum, as well as file screenshots. These will help discovery both via LCPDFR.com site search (these tags are now inserted into our search index) and Google as well as aid to make the site a bit more accessible.
    Along with this, images are now checked via our Image Precheck system for compliance with our Community Guidelines. Images which may not be in compliance with our Community Guidelines may be held for approval or rejected. We hope this keeps the community safer.

    Speed & Performance
    We fixed two major causes of latency for logged in users over the past few weeks. Both of these were caused by bad database queries.
    We've shaved off around ~4s worst case of viewing the LCPDFR.com homepage, and around ~1.5s worst case of latency per file listing.
    Thank you to the ULSS Discord Server for bringing this to my attention (specifically @SuperPyroManiac).

    Other Fixes & Changes
    Introduced WebAuthn 2FA support. While this is going to be used mostly internally for securing administrative accounts, this option is also available to all users. Show a warning when using colors in the website editor, reminding users of the different themes. LSPDFR Sync no longer shows deactivated members' characters. Fixed an issue with recording and displaying file checksums on the post-download page. Fixed file embeds from rendering an entire page on error. Fixed an issue IPS refuses to fix, correctly lazyloaded content between paginations. Added a game filter to user download special pages. Fixed an issue with file comments/reviews being removed from the search index. Guest views now correctly increment content view counts. ...And numerous other backend changes that would be too expansive to list.

    Just FYI, once you understand how the VCF works it's not hard to set up the light patterns however you want. Check out the video below, I'd also be happy to answer any questions. One of my favorite things to do is set up ELS VCF's 🙂

    Hello, i have a question according to my topic., I can't get the warning lights be active on stages 1+2. They work fine on stage 3 tho. I can activate them manualy by pressing the L key in game on any stage but they never activate with the pre-determined pattern i set for them in the XML.file. Is someone here with a solution to activate them WITH a pre-determined pattern on any stage? I have already edited the XML.file to

    <!-- WRNL -->
    <WRNL LightingFormat="leds" >
    <PresetPatterns>
    <Lstg1 Enabled="true" Pattern="22" />
    <Lstg2 Enabled="true" Pattern="22" />
    <Lstg3 Enabled="true" Pattern="22" />
    </PresetPatterns>

    Here's a bit more info for you bud.
    If you're having issues with vehicles disappearing as you move away from them (LODs)
    Go back to your vehicles.meta and look for this line
    <lodDistances content="float_array">
    replace all the numbers underneath it with these
            100.000000
            200.000000
            300.000000
            400.000000
            500.000000
            500.000000
    This will stop your model disappearing as you move away
    Do the same thing for any of your models that have the same issue.

    If your cars spawn with blacked out lightbar or other glass

    look for
    <diffuseTint value= (it's 3 lines above the lod distances one )
    and paste this line over it
    <diffuseTint value="0x00FFFFFF" />

    Do the same for any of your cars that have the black glass problem

    Don't forget to save

    LSPD:FR requires RagePluginHook. And LSPD:FR plugins list requirements. Usually just RageNativeUI.

    Yes, you need them for the MODDING DLC and any cars / dlcpacks you add.

    There is no real correct order.

    Common sense predicts the following states though, depending on what you want to do:

    1. LSPDFr 0.46 manual.
    2. RagePluginHook (Not necessary as of now since LSPDFR 0.46 manual comes with the latest RPH.)

    Optionals:
    1. A mods folder. Copy the update folder into it, then it's set up.
    2. MODDING DLC (Just as a preset, even if you don't need it.)
    3. EUP & SAR
    4. Gameconfig, heap and limit adjuster
    5. ScripthookV
    6. Scripts like Trainers etc.
    The rest is variable. They stack.

    @pcGAMEZguy so in the GTA V/lspdfr/keys.ini it only seems to have an option for the following.

    TRAFFICSTOP_START_Key=LShiftKey
    TRAFFICSTOP_START_ModifierKey=None
    TRAFFICSTOP_START_ControllerKey=None
    TRAFFICSTOP_START_ControllerModifierKey=None

    However I don't see one anywhere for TAFFICSTOP_STOP, so I assumed they are one in the same. I removed the controllerkey and just went to using left shift and I haven't seen the issue again.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    I have searched all over and have been through every .ini file and can't find any control mappings that indicate Y on the controller will cancel the traffic stop. Below are the exact keys.ini for lspdfr and no other settings are mapped to the Y button. I'm not sure what setting I have missed, but I can not find anything that fixes this issue.

    Alright, So I know Siren Mastery uses some WAV format that the default games siren don't use so where do I convert it so it is a PCM format because I see no point what so ever with Siren Mastery when ELS practically has the same thing integrated in it. Before anyone replies saying "Well Siren Mastery has this" I don't care, I am trying to make the audio files work for GTA Audio files while I work on my mega pack. Any ideas would be great.

    The location is update.rpf/common/data/levels/gta5. The other ones are basicly for the added on vehicles that come with the dlc updates and such. Most if not all the emergency vehicles use the one in the update.rpf file.

    Alright then, I am very confused because none of the ones that are listed that do work like interaction do not work with my LSPDFR

    I can't speak for other mods, but LSPDFR itself doesn't change any of GTA's core files, it only adds new ones.

    I just copy the original directory into a separate folder so if I need to I can just copy and paste things back. RagePluginHook has an option to back up your original files too.

    I am constantly updating this thread with more mods so keep an eye on it. My computer is pretty low spec so if your PC is a beast then add more on top of this list, just remember add one thing at a time and test for as long as possible then add more. Add what suits you and fits your PCs capabilities. That has been my key to getting this far with near perfect stability with play times of up to 2 hours... most of the time. Be warned LSPDFR will break eventually! The .ini files have been tweaked to my preferences which is basically maximum difficulty. Cars that are designed to be fast will get away in pursuits if you're not quick and same goes with the super sprint being tuned down to be a more of a realistic burst of energy so foot pursuits will last longer! I don't play this game to win I play for immersive roleplaying so tweak the settings how you want them if these do not suit you!

    Plugins & mods list that I am running at the moment with the most stability:

    Gameplay & Meta:
    With just these running and nothing else the game should work almost flawless. It's when you start adding callouts and immersive mods is when LSPDFR becomes very delicate.

    To reset everything (for example: StopThePed blips and/or backup/ems blips) pause the game and go to select character, select your character and game should reset. Going to Police Station/Apartment should also do the same thing, I think.
    It's best not to alt tab during the game load up.
