Make sure to run as administrator. What are your computer specs?

Just look for LCPDFR in your GTAIV folder. Open that and copy/attach that. If it's not there, don't worry.

Did you install the Taser? What happens when you press ALT+T? Do you get an ugly nail gun?

Oh my goodness. Thank you! That fixed the problem. So I guess I'll just install LCPDFR without the taser. So now to make GTAIV playable online, I gotta rename that file and remove dsound.dll and ScriptHookDotNet.asi

Do you have any other mods running? If so, disable them.

Why do we need both frisking (E key) and the ALT+R way?

I've tried that, and it does not work - I need to remove the files from my GTAIV directory. I've noticed two files, amb_nailgun.wdr and amb_nailgun.wtd in the GTAIV directory, should I remove these too? Could Sam or someone please clarify whether these were installed with the new Taser?

Hi, As of lately I have been unable to play GTAIV no-mod multiplayer after moving some LCPDFR files. Before RC2, I could just move ELS.asi, dsound.dll & ScriptHookDotNet.asi out of the GTA folder and I was able to play GTA IV multiplayer (no-mod). Now, GTAIV keeps telling me I can't join servers because I have mods running. Does GTAIV multiplayer work for you if you do the above steps? Or have there been new files added that I must remove? Thanks

I got a E8400 dual core, 4GB RAM and 9600GT graphics. Remember you should be buying a computer that will be ready for the future, i.e. not just to play GTAIV.

It could be your 2GB RAM that's causing the problem... Please make a separate thread.

He must mean like scripthook and stuff. They all come with LCPDFR though.
