  1. I don't think they should change names. The name LCPDFR is what got us here, and changing it to some obscure name wouldn't make sense to me. Another thing is we already have a community based around GTA policing. It wouldn't make sense to start up a new community for GTA 5. My suggestion would be to host both mods on this site and maybe change the theme depending on which mod or forum you're looking at (LCPDFR/SAPDFR).
  2. Deep. You had me tearing up!
  3. I would say either the Tahoe or the Impala, I've always been a GM fan since birth. I just dislike Ford vehicles, I would never want to drive one. The only exception would be the CVPI, just because of the legacy behind it.
  4. Yeah, that happens to me as well. All you have to do is stop the script and reload the pages. It's not a big deal.
  5. The closest thing is actually repeating San Andreas for GTA 5.
  6. I really want to see a Vice City remake. But if not, maybe Dallas, somewhere different than their other games, maybe call it Diablo or something. Something like Detroit would be great, maybe something to do with gang activity. Maybe even North Yankton, which was touched upon in GTA 5. I doubt they would pick somewhere like Charlotte. I don't see any appeal there, it seems too much like a normal city.
  7. I know one of the schools nearby me pays for tutoring. Maybe that's something you may want to get into.
  8. I think he just wants the vanilla cars with ELS, while keeping the default skin.
  9. 1.0d for donuts. :D
  10. Looks like a trash bin.
  11. As for programs, they don't really matter to me. I use Photoshop only because I'm used to the controls. There are many great freeware out there, like GIMP or Paint.NET. I used to use Paint.NET and I loved it. Well, you basically learn along the way. My first pack was an OPP pack. It was garbage. Wrong colours, wrong fonts, and wrong decals were plastered all over the cars. You really have to look at every single detail and replicate it. Don't think "Oh, they won't notice", they will, trust me. I began replicating state police cars, and went from there. I usually pick designs I really like. This is a fantastic tool: http://www.policecarwebsite.net/ Once you feel comfortable, you could ask for requests. That way, you will be giving the community exactly what they want. (Although this shouldnt be your main goal, do what you want to do) To keep the realism, I get a side picture of the car and trace the decals out with the Pen tool in Photoshop (The line tool in Paint.NET). Make sure you use the right colours. Use the dropper tool as well as your judgement to find the closest font. I use this: http://www.whatfontis.com/ to help me with fonts. Once you do a few skins, you'll find that most departments use the same fonts (i.e., Serpentine, Arial, MicroExtendFLF, etc.) I have yet to design skins completely from scratch. I usually find some inspiration from the site above, and put an LC twist on it. Any questions, feel free to message me. :)
  12. The older generation is mostly used for security and things like that. I'm surprised that those two are the same model, they look so different.
  13. If it does go for PC, and it is moddable, I'm sure that the developers will have a crack at it. I'm pretty sure that the staff also bought some domains relating to a possible GTA V alternative to LCPDFR. Don't quote me on that.
  14. The front looks just as aggressive as all the older Tahoes. The rear looks a little flat to me.
  15. I'm not sure if it will work in game, but I know this works with any sound coming to your speakers, so it likely will. First, download Virtual Audio Cable (full version). Next, go into TS, Settings > Options > Capture > Capture Device, and set it to Virtual Audio Cable. Also, I would suggest changing Continuous Transmission (I haven't tried with Voice Detection). Next, right click on the speaker button on your taskbar, and click Playback Devices, and set Virtual Audio Cable as the default. After that, you can hop in game, and it will hopefully work. Oh, you might not be able to hear your own game. Haven't figured that out yet.
  16. They actually filmed one of the episodes near my house. It might have been the premiere. I'll be watching.

  20. It doesn't really affect my marks, but I am guilty of skipping studying for the PS3. Overall, I haven't seen a change in my marks, though.
