Hello all, With the future mods for GTA V which will enable the creation of real life vehicles to be brought into game being developed, I am posing several questions to the US community, in particular to those who live (or serve with) the Los Angeles Emergency services on a daily basis. 1) What are the most common vehicles being used by the LAPD, LASD CHP, LAFD & EMS service and how does their infrastructure work? For example, does the LASD work with the LAPD in the same jurisdiction area, do each police forces have their own SWAT? I'm interested to know what vehicles are mostly used (therefore not particularly interested in the rare marked or unmarked vehicles). Eg. LAPD Response vehicles, K9 Units, SWAT etc. 2)Is the Ford Taurus in active service with the LAPD (in particular because I really like the Taurus) and is it likely to join the CHP or LASD? I'm assuming that forces which use the Crown Vic will switch to the Taurus. 3) Does the CHP only have the Ford Interceptor Utility on order because SUV's are considered unsuitable for pursuits? The questions are somewhat generic but I wish to build myself a mental model of how GTA V will look with LA authorities being installed and Google provides limited answers, a community such as LSPD:FR with a wide global reach is much more effective. I come from the UK and therefore my exposure to US police forces is nonexistent other than through images and the very occasional video, both of which aren't enough to explain the US to me. I understand the structure of my police force but as you know that will be very different to the US (we're not so big on the firearms ideas or heavily armoured vehicles). So all the cars will have to be remade for GTA V? Well, as long as we have higher quality vehicles I'm not fussed. The way it was presented to me on FB made it sound like one guy alone was responsible for Open IV and he couldn't be bothered to work on it for 6 months. Thanks for clarifying

On an approximate time scale, how long before real vehicle mods can be brought into GTA V? I read on some Facebook group that it's going to be another 6 months before the Open IV is updated to allow vehicle modifications, and also I'm interested to know how long it'll take to convert the IV models into V. Is there any truth to "at least 6 months"?

I appreciate it, I know. I want to avoid the tinkering as of yet if a more concrete solution can be found. I'm very surprised by the lack of error in the LCPD:FR log, because I get the impression that it's causing it.

Yes, pretty much, sometimes I can get to the callouts, whilst other times I almost arrive on scene and the infamous GTA IV has crashed window appears. It's the mental disorder of the game that annoys me, works fine one day, the next it just crashes. For pursuits it usually works, but at some stage or another it will crash. It cannot be an ELS issue because I ran ELS and the vehicles for a long time, about an hour each around LC without LCPDFR on, and they didn't crash. Perhaps the combination of LCPDFR and ELS. One vehicle is particularly prone to response crashing, but again the issue only occurs with LCPDFR running. I notice that the game seems to have a stutter and then it crashes

It's the default LCPD:FR callouts, and what makes no sense is that they worked flawlessly one day, restart the computer the next and suddenly all these issues. I've got Wastelands installed but I never go to Bohan because I hate driving there -_- other than that it's all just the normal LCPD:FR callouts.

So the game stutters, and then it crashes. It like freezes just as I'm about to arrive on scene to the call-out, and I'm getting a lot of disregards. I use low-poly mods specifically to ensure that it doesn't cause issues.

I'm under the impression that my GTA IV EFLC is crashing for sh*ts and giggles, purposely making my life extremely difficult. Essentially, yesterday it worked for a very long time, without fault, today having realised it has multiple personality disorder, it crashes within 10 minutes of launch. I'm under the impression that my GTA IV EFLC is crashing for sh*ts and giggles, purposely making my life extremely difficult. Essentially, yesterday it worked for a very long time, without fault, today having realised it has multiple personality disorder, it crashes within 10 minutes of launch. I've attached the log file for my three attempts, I am really unsure what could be causing the crashes, I haven't changed anything since yesterday. Any help is greatly appreciated. So.. With regards to vehicle modifications (because I don't want to read 4 pages of comments (some of which aren't relevant)) does that mean no for a long time? I'm not entirely bothered, I've uninstalled GTA V and haven't played in for a month now, but I'd play it if I can put the real LAPD crown vic's in! I don't understand why R* must fight the people that purchase their game, so pathetic. I can understand banning mods on Multiplayer but no reason for SP, it's my game, I've purchased it! If I want to change into a whale in the middle of a desert so be it!
