R1150RT project
Electrical problems with the fuse, causing Kawasaki to stop producing the police variant, and in the mean time the CHP opted instead to look at Harley Davidsons as a replacement for the ageing BMW's. So instead of very good motorcycles the CHP have opted for the HD Electra Glides http://www.polic'mag.com/blog/vehicles/story/2012/08/kawasaki-shelves-concourse-14p-motorcycle.aspx

Check out ELS for V!
Now that Matt Jeter has said he won't release his LAPD pack until ELS comes out I'm even more keen for ELS! Just because both the LAPD and CHP have such crazy light patterns, an ELS is needed to control it all.

R1150RT project
I think that actually its because they've been very reliable and haven't needed much replacement. But now all the BMWs are too expensive for the CHP, so they're instead buying the Harley Davidsons, after the mishap they had with Kawasaki

R1150RT project
In the video thats a BMW R1200RT-P. but I've seen a few recent photographs with the R1150RT-P, the one currently being created by sub68 and 55charlie, both in service with the CHP and LAPD, plus, before the R1200 was brought in, they were both using this exact bike

R1150RT project
Is there going to be an LA/ CHP version? There set-up is very different to that used in France, and as far as I'm aware, both the LAPD and CHP still use these old BMW 1150's.

[WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)
No pushbar, no bumper fog lights, only the factory stereo antenna, no mirror lights, wrong indicators and the wrong spotlight. That's not an actual CHP car, I'd say thats a demo model provided by Ford, perhaps for the media to see and test before the CHP announced their purchase of the Utility. That is definitely a demo version, no licence plate either.

All CHP vehicles have a pushbar, so the one on the right in your image wouldn't exist, unless it's used in the CHP academy. Some have the full wrap around, some just have the front pushbar. From what I read, the CHP originally bought them without the wrap-around, but after pursuits and PIT manouvres they damaged the front of the cars so they installed the wrap arounds to protect them. As Joeym said, in the city they all have ALPR, but outside of the main city, most CHP units won't have it. ALPR is useful in cities, but less useful on a highway, so it should be a removable extra, it's a good system but not all cars have them. Also, the pictures provided by Joey are actually very good! All the antennas used on their FPUIs are there, so make sure to put them in as well, the CHP have a lot of antennas on all their vehicles.

I think you should have a couple of options for the CHP black & white: ALPR (automatic license plate recognition) cameras mounted, see image for reference full wrap around push bars, most have full wrap but some don't On the all white one the red spotlight could be an option, but I've never seen any of those with red spotlights.

2009 Dodge Charger Police Pursuit Car
Rarely would I think this, but I agree! The 2015-2016 Chargers look nasty, I'm trying to get accustomed to them but they look hideous. The 1st & 2nd Gen LX Chargers were definitely the best. Shame the CHP had to buy the new Chargers, I'd would have much preferred seeing the Ford Interceptor.

Suggestions: The wheels do need some work, they're not very accurate. This is something Reckless Design should correct really, they're too flat and the holes in the alloys aren't the correct shape. Close up of the centre cap The correct centre cap, and the correct shape of the steel rims as well. They're very nicely shaped, and not anywhere near as flat as Reckless Designs has made them.

[WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)
FYI from a previous comment, the Explorers don't have any door cards, the rear doors have the child lock on them, so the door can't be opened anyway. Prevents the perp from escaping. It's an extra cost the LAPD didn't want to pay for apparently, nor do they have rear window bars either. In fact, in some Crown vics instead of putting a door card, they simply removed the door handle, and put a black piece of wood to fill the hole xD You can see it in Polecat's video when he shows his CVPI (ex-LAPD)

I've only seen them with the Fedsignal spotlight, even the new test Explorers seem to have the FedSignal spotlight, all the Ford Police Utilities have the FedSignal spotlight, so do the Ford Interceptor sedans.

AH! Looks amazing! I'm really liking it all Desmond! Good work, you even managed to find the three language stickers as well! Very well done, and thanks for re-doing the indicators, that was my fault for not fully understanding how they worked before. The interior is shaping up nicer every time I check this post.

(WIP) Ford E series LAPD van
It's alright to sideline it for now. Hopefully during the summer time I'll get into modelling and by then you'll have more experience so it'll be easier. It's not a problem to delay it for a while, if I get into modelling I'll try my best to help you as well.

(WIP) Ford E series LAPD van
Well, to be honest I'd rather it be a slicktop, but I don't mind the Edge or the Liberty. That being said, the LASD don't seem to really care about fitting new lightbars onto new vans. An E-series fitted with an MX7000 (I don't know the role of the van) but it still looks great, I think the MX7000 is the most fitting, suitable and realistic, simply because most of the lightbars in California seem to be either Arjent or MX7000 (& Liberty but that seems to just be the CHP). At the end of the day though, that's just my opinion, I'm sure others will think differently... Your call really Also, further to that, I've noticed that they have a hidden lights in the middle at the top of the windscreen (just above the mirror), as per California law I'm assuming one of them must be red Steady burn, whilst the other flashes blue? Thats a guess though, so if it's a slicktop then it needs the dash lighting, if it's got a lightbar then you don't need to worry about the dash strobes.

(WIP) Ford E series LAPD van
It does actually have grille lights, just very well hidden So (some, not all) have the LED's on the side, as you can see on the right side of the van by the front light. If you look very closely at the two small white squares above the Ford logo, I think those are two very well hidden grille lights. Also, I was thinking, you should have it so that the window cages are an option to remove. Since most have the window cage but some do not (used for community relations I believe), so it'd be a nice function.

Ford E450 LAFD Ambulance 4K By PimDSLR
Haha... Do you know how many things you've just requested? 5 entirely different models and on top of that civilian and service variations? It takes weeks if not months to create models. Plus buying the models as well, no chance Danny. There is already a service version of the GMC savana on LSPDFR.

(WIP) Ford E series LAPD van
No worries! I couldn't find them either, I had to go through several different pages, but now I can't stop finding them Ps. I don't know why this van has a different set up to the others (full covered Windows and double door instead of sliding door) Anyway, I just wanted to show you the rear lights. Sorry for image spamming you

(WIP) Ford E series LAPD van
I saw that image in a previous post about transport vans. It's quite difficult to find out what vehicles they use, the LAPD vans I'm unsure of. And the LASD also have the old style vans as well With the newer ones looking like that Although I really like the wheel style they have so if you could do that, then I'd be very happy! Aha! Bingo, exactly what I was looking for The new ones being used by the LASD! I found them on Flickr. Three good views of the van, no much required to be changed really, roof antenna, wheels, and window bars being the most obvious changes on the exterior. they don't have much lighting, the dual LED modules at the rear, and I suspect some hidden grille or headlight emergency lighting for the front of the van.

[WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)
I'm getting a little p*ssed off with the front lights of this car in real life! They make no sense. After further investigation I've found the following LAPD: The headlights on the LAPD vehicles are "multifunction" Red circle flashes (as shown in the video) when the emergency lights are on. They also flash, when the car is indicating. The green bit, is just the sidemarker, so it's always on (at night) but doesn't work as an indicator. I got it wrong at first (when I messaged you). I'm sorry, I thought it was the indicator but it's not, it's just the sidemarker. CHP: CHP don't have the "police headlamp" so their top headlamp is orange. Still divided into two sections, sidemarker & indicator. ] Video above, at 0.37 onwards you can see the CHP's headlights indicating. See video below: Indicator is flashing, on the left side, whilst on the right it's just a sidemarker. Same set-up as CHP. Notice how the entire top part is on, but the indicator flashes brighter than the rest. The car has it's sidemarker lights on.
