The Mind-Boggling Classic Cop Car Thread
^ The above NYPD Chrysler K-Car [ Dodge Aeries?] actually suits Manhattan enforcement pretty well. The damn things were near unkillable, and with their small size they probably made for easy work of getting through holes in traffic. There's also something I can appreciate about the humble, single beacon light mounted on the roof. It has a very distinctive, and likeable, look.

The Mind-Boggling Classic Cop Car Thread
Unfortunately, no. The closest thing we can get to one is BOVRILWares' vintage police car, based off of a 1972 Plymouth Fury. He forgot to put something appearing to look like a Federal Signal 660 Pulsator siren in front of that beacon light. '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> Keep those NYPD RMP photos coming, Hastings. They're fantastic! -------------------------- Thanks again for starting this thread, Strike. Every time I visit it I find myself unable to suppress my enthusiasm. xD

The Mind-Boggling Classic Cop Car Thread
You can't speak of classic police cars without mentioning movies and scenes, of course. Case in point, the 1968 NYPD Plymouth Fury in The Seven-Ups (1973). [see 4:56] As well as its later blue/white counterparts; ^ 1973 Fury v 1982-1989 Gran Fury

Even while rushing to emergencies, the LCPD likes to purport the mantra of "Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling"! Or perhaps they're referring to speed... -

aCoD Prodigy was almost correct; this is CryENB v1. I'll be updating to v2 later today, and retaining it if I like it.

Running from the LCPD is not wise, especially when ten or more of their vehicles are in your immediate vicinity at all times. -

Federal Signal SS2000 Rumbler
I've seen two of those large, Mack ESU trucks in person before and none of them had a blue light up front like the one in the photo; that's different. That looks to be an older truck though, judging by the lightbar and the Federal Signal mechanical siren mounted on the bumper [not that the age of the truck would shed any light onto the question at hand though]. Here's a photo that I found of an older ESU truck with two red lights on the front bumper mounted in a similar fashion.

Federal Signal SS2000 Rumbler
Thanks for pointing that out; I didn't view any of the videos in the original post. That is odd for sure; it goes against NYS law and again, I've never seen an NYPD RMP with a forward-facing blue light. I've seen plenty of Impalas with at least one headlight bulb burned out, but that's about it.

Federal Signal SS2000 Rumbler
Assuming that you're referring to lighting, I've never seen an NYPD vehicle with forward-facing blues. Rear facing blues seem to be on the back right and back left of the Vision SL/SLR, or mounted on the parcel-shelf area. New York State's laws, regarding vehicle lighting, permits red and white lighting for just about all authorized emergency vehicles. Blue lights are reserved for volunteer firefighters, but they can be affixed on any authorized emergency vehicle so long that they are rear-facing. Source: http://www.safeny.ny.gov/emer-vt.htm#sec375 Hope that helps! :)

Federal Signal SS2000 Rumbler
This is pretty good; the yelp and priority tones are fantastic and sound just like the real thing. The wail tone could use some work though - it doesn't sound quite right. [it seems as if the NYPD likes to use the manual wail tone with rumbler in my neighborhood when passing through intersections.] For demonstration's sake, here's a clip of what the wail sounds like.

North Korea and "The Interview"
How much propaganda does the DPRK have depicting the maiming of Americans, and this movie release pisses them off? Someone needs to smack that regime upside the head...with a missile.

If you can't find anything, you can always edit a preexisting texture with the shield/patches of the agency that you want using an image editing software, like GIMP.
