  1. Indeed it does. It's not the best thing for Rockstar's engine, but I guess they don't really need to change it considering that they don't want their game to be modded. It's a little known thing that most modders don't realize. :P I'll send you a new version soon. :)
  2. Hey Strike! Thanks again. The reason why the 86' Taurus has more of a matte finish than the other cars is because I made the specular texture a completely black/dark grey image. To increase the reflection, all I need to do is make that texture brighter; however, the reason why I did not use the default texture is because my Taurus' body is very low poly (only about 4,000 - 5,000 polys). Due to this, reflections get stretch on the car because GTA IV creates reflections by polygons. In addition, the version of my car that you have is an earlier beta version. Because I've made changes to it, it's been vastly improved and I can increase the reflections. I may send another version over to you before release so you can see if the reflections have been improved. :)
  3. Thank you. :) It's my first scratch model car, so I did the best that I could. I may post another video and/or some screenshots of the other variants, when ready.
  4. I wish I could give an exact date, but I still need to make a change to one minor bug. After that, I need to make a few more skins for the other variants. I apologize in advance if I take a little while to release. EDIT: If anyone would be interested in helping me out with skins, please message me. To give you an idea of what additional skins I will be looking to create: - 1980s - 1990s LCPD/NYPD style skins (from 4 up to 15 liveries) Also non-car related: - 1980s film OCP Police Department skins (to replace the LCPD Cop skins) Proper credit will be given, if you help. :)
  5. I did. :P I plan to put together a pack of the following variants: - Civilian - Police Department (pushbar and non-pushbar) - Robocop (film) generic OCP cruiser (pushbar and non-pushbar) - Robocop (film) Alex Murphy's cruiser (seen in the previous video) The difference between the two Robocop variants include: - Stock headlamps vs. Round modified headlamps - Pushbar and non-pushbar variants vs. Pushbar only The Police Department variant will look similar to how real Taurus police cars did at the time, such as this one from a film: http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_41333-Ford-Taurus-1986.html
  6. Thank you! I may do a public release soon, but I just have one minor bug left to fix. Since my first video in IV (GTA IV 1986 Ford Taurus LX - OCP Cruiser), I've made vast improvements and updates to the model, making it pretty much the way I wanted it to be. Also, speaking of Taurus videos. :P 3) GTA IV: Robocop is Back Posted: July 7, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHRpCh2RVJo
  7. I decided to create a thread where I can post videos that I create and upload to my Youtube channel. I hope you enjoy! Any feedback is appreciated. :) [Videos to follow this post] 1) GTA IV 1986 Ford Taurus LX - OCP Cruiser Posted: Feb 17, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97zzhlfU9rg 2) Grand Theft Auto IV: JB 700 (Dewbauchee) Posted: June 8, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owuqvLfmYtc
  8. For me, this problem was solved when I added a "_L0", "_L1", or "_L2" after the component name. :) I don't think this is a materials issue; rather that the game does not know at what detail level to render them at. Example: antenna_3_l_L0 NOTE: If you add an L1 or L2 copy in addition to the L0 model, it will not disappear at different distances. EDIT: Your car looks great, by the way. Your graphics mod also makes it really pop!
  9. Just to note, I don't think you'll get many answers as "no" when you post this on a forum focused on policing. :P Your friends don't seem to understand human nature very well. As ineseri said, not everyone is going to play fair. There will be someone out there who will want to bend or break the rules that are set to keep the public safe. Without police, crime would flourish because criminals would know that there would be nothing to stop them from committing crimes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-ygpgcYd3o

  16. Simply amazing. I love it! 5/5
  17. Perhaps see if the rear window is lower in the hierarchy than the ELS lights. If it is above the ELS light components in the hierarchy, this means that the rear window is being rendered before the lights, which can cause the issue you're having.
