Sir Bond reacted to Tyler143256 in A list of what works and what doesn't with LSPDFR 0.4. Feel free to add. With Stop The Ped the plugin page says that it's disabled when using with 0.4 because LSPDFR 0.4 apparently has it.
Do you know how to enable this in LSPDFR? I couldn't find anything about it, other than from the Stop The Ped page stating it's in 0.4. And peds in the area go crazy with gunshots, maybe that's just how it's suppose to be. I remember playing awhile ago and everyone on the sidewalk would be calmer when I was dealing with a suspect even when shots were fired because I used that Keep Calm plugin.

Sir Bond reacted to Tyler143256 in A list of what works and what doesn't with LSPDFR 0.4. Feel free to add.I use LSPDFR Comes Alive, and it works. I believe it was updated for 0.4 as well. The events are random and I think it only targets them on your minimap and such when you are looking at the area when it takes place. I've had a situation with some lady doing a burnout and I think she was about to race another car, and another situation where a guy randomly started shooting some other guy on a sidewalk. You can change the settings in the files for how often they occur and such.
I'll probably have to use Stop the Ped for it's build in KeepCalm mechanic, it's one of the only plugins on this list I don't have installed.

Sir Bond reacted to Hisel in A list of what works and what doesn't with LSPDFR 0.4. Feel free to add.I feel like I owe it to the community to provide a little update on my recent inactivity; I just started my new job this past Monday, so until I can better adjust to my new schedule and the whatnot, most of my free time is being dedicated to my wife and kids and a little single player LSPDFR enjoyment. I hope to pick back up on the list and tutorial videos over the weekend. Thanks!

Sir Bond reacted to PenOkOh in Callouts IdeasThose are all very realistic, see a few cop YouTubers going on calls like that, would be sick to have those in the game for sure. I'm confident someone will make these in the future, aspecially now with 0.4 and all! 😀
That would indeed be awesome, I mean being a cop isn't about chases, shootings and violence all the time. Sometimes you gotta attend to the public as well so that would be cool!
That would be fitting for a FIB agent or a joint op between LSPD and FIB. Either way I like the sound of those!
Like the cherry on top, you can tell we're in need of fresh callouts when there's none of these in any plugin. I definitely wanna see more callouts regardingthe public, too many chases and shootings. Just some good old keeping the peace you know! 🙂

Sir Bond reacted to Exemplification in Callouts IdeasOh man, I know. Enough with thew stolen cars, shootings etc.
Lets have some REAL callouts.

Sir Bond reacted to xarthatusx2018 in Lspdfr crashe's everytime the ped gets out of the vehicle HELP!test something and you will see i am right.
first under lspdfr in your gta V directory there is a file called Keys.ini you must disable the TRAFFICSTOP_INTERACT_Key=E from default E to TRAFFICSTOP_INTERACT_Key=None in order to stop two traffic stop menus opening at the same time in game.
GREAT! no problem right 😄 ....Wrong 😞
pull over ped using Interaction+ works fine
pull ped out of car works fine
switch to Stop the Ped game dosnt recognize Stop the Ped while interaction+ is running this causes a mad jam of crap that is not realistic
also attempt to remove and place a ped into a vehicle without him getting out everytime or stealing your car in cuffs lol or you and the ped while holding drift 400 ft away
-
Interaction+ is not working at the moment. It's crashing once you pull someone over. No getting around that. You can use parts of Interaction+ like the court systems but traffic stop is a no go. You can use stop the ped for traffic stops. It breaks the immersion a little but thats all we have at the moment.
Right now Im testing if its the DarkAPI file causing the crashes. Ill keep you updated.
*UPDATE*
The DarkAPI file for SearchWarrant wasn’t the problem with Interaction+ I’m troubleshooting and reinstalling and will continue when I get home. At school right now.

Sir Bond reacted to PNWParksFan in [REL] Real Police Tape ModWith the recent addition of cloth physics editing to zmodeler3, I decided it was time to make a mod that I've always wanted for GTA V... a police tape mod! This is still in development and needs a bit more work before it'll be ready for release, but I think it's working well enough now to share it with the world. Check out the video below to get a quick look at how the mod works, then scroll down for some more info:
How do you use it?
Press a key combo to activate police tape placement mode. You can then aim and click (same as using a weapon) to attach tape to props and world objects, such as fences, telephone poles, walls, street lights, mail boxes, etc. You can also spawn barriers/cones using the mod, and the tape will automatically attach to the barrier/cone.
Does it actually stop peds?
Yes! Ambient peds are blocked from crossing any police line you set up. Once you remove the police line, peds will be allowed to walk through again. Peds with navigation tasks (such as police backup, peds you've ordered to follow you, bodyguards/partners, etc.) may go through the tape sometimes.
Does it stop cars, too?
Yes. It uses several methods to prevent cars from going through, including preventing some ambient traffic from going through that area, and if any vehicles do make it through, they will be stopped before they can cross the line. The traffic control isn't perfect still, and that's one of the things I'm continuing to work on. Additionally, emergency vehicles are always allowed to pass through the police line.
How do you remove tape?
Right now, with a console command. I'm working on adding an RNUI menu that will allow you to manage all active tape strands.
Will there be an API?
Yes, that is something else I'm still working on. Developers will be able to use police tape in scenes for callouts, etc.
Does it require any other mods?
Only RPH. It runs as a stand-alone RPH plugin.
When will it be released?
I don't know yet, but sometime relatively soon. Probably before Coastal Callouts. You can get early access through the Parks Benefactor Program if you're so inclined.
The tape seems to bend/blow in the wind/droop through the ground a lot...
Yeah, I know. There's limitations to what's possible with cloth physics right now. The zmodeler3 devs are still researching cloth data formats, and I'm still experimenting with the various parameters. I don't know if it'll be possible to eliminate this issue, but it is definitely mitigated by using shorter strands (i.e. placing cones more frequently).
Is it hard to install?
I don't know, how good are you at installing mods? The tape requires installing a simple DLC. I might make an OIV installer for it before public release, we'll see.
Can you put text on the tape?
You're welcome to edit the tape texture. But in my testing, I found that text looks really weird and distorted, due to how rendering of cloth material works in the game.
Can I beta test it for you or use it in my YouTube videos?
Beta testing and video use is available to members of the Parks Benefactor Program. Please don't send me unsolicited PMs asking for beta access, especially if I don't know you.

Exactly. I have both readily available and will change between my controller and my keyboard + mouse as I enter/exit vehicles.

Sir Bond reacted to Hisel in A list of what works and what doesn't with LSPDFR 0.4. Feel free to add.Disclaimer: I can't guarantee these will work universally across the board, but these are the plugins and callouts that I have working in my game personally. Remember to always make a backup. I am not liable for your broken game.
Keep in mind to remain grateful as this is a modification we are playing free of charge. We are literally just over 12 hours into 0.4's release, so time is needed for authors to make the proper adjustments to their mods for implementation from 0.3.
Also, please do not include any visual or audio modifications as these should be irrelevant to the version of LSPDFR being played.

Sir Bond reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.4 - Coming February, 2019So, it's been a while since we've provided an update on LSPDFR 0.4. As you might've guessed from the title, though, there's a good reason for this... It has taken us a lot of work to get to this point, and in the last couple of months alone we've made hundreds and hundreds of changes. Anyway, here we are - who knows how many months late - but we're here. No riddles, no treasure hunts, no @MSA (at least I'm pretty sure they're not here), but straight to the point! We can now confirm that we'll be releasing LSPDFR 0.4 in February, 2019.
Anyway... with the scary part out of the way, I wanted to take the opportunity to explain ourselves a little. No, @LMS wasn't renditioned to an IAA black site, no I didn't fall victim to the Orbital Cannon, and no... the ghost of @ineseri didn't drive a train into us. Perfectly plausible scenarios given our silence about 0.4 as of late, but we're actually still alive. Instead, we've been pretty busy rushing to the finish line as far as 0.4 is concerned, and to complement the big news above, we thought we'd throw in a couple of sweeteners below to show just how much 0.4 is going to change things.
We've talked a lot about our Character system in LSPDFR 0.4. It's one of the biggest changes to the mod, but we also think it represents an entirely new direction in general. I say this because, not only does it allow us to have a bunch of really cool stuff natively integrated into the mod, like customizing a character, but it also lets us have a bunch of other really cool stuff natively integrated into the mod! Having your own character dials up the immersion quite substantially, but we wanted to take things to another level. We thought, for example, wouldn't it be cool if instead of spawning as Franklin in Franklin's house, you could instead, say, I don't know? Actually spawn as your own character, in their house. Or maybe, instead of switching to Trevor and your camera panning down to him being pursued by the LSPD, you could switch to one of your other characters, and "Google Earth" down to them being the LSPD.
LSPDFR 0.4 introduces a fully functional GTA Online Apartment to single-player, complete with transition sequences, working interactions and more Steve Haines than you can handle.
It's not just that, though, we really wanted to dial it up. Having your own character, them having an apartment, switching, customizing, it's all cool, right? But you might be thinking, what's the point? These are "multiplayer features". And sure, LSPDFR is and most likely always will be a single-player mod, but that doesn't mean we can't think outside of the box every once in a while.
Recently, @Cyan, in addition to all of her work on the website, has also been developing an all new framework called LSPDFR Sync. LSPDFR Sync lets you connect up to your LSPDFR.com account in-game, and you can then synchronize your LSPDFR characters with your LSPDFR.com profile. To top it off, we've brought back statistics too. Ever wanted to know how many shots your character has fired? It's as simple as taking a look at your character's profile on the site - which, we should add, you can actually edit.
LSPDFR Sync provides all-new, seamless connectivity with your LSPDFR.com profile.
And frankly, it doesn't even end there. When I said before that we wanted to dial the immersion up to the max, I guess I lied. What I actually meant to say was that we'd just ripped the dial clean off the controls, strapped it to a rocket, and sent the damn thing up to the moon. Not only can you now create a character, customize them, share them, spawn as them... You can actually do things as them too! Like, actual game things. Ever wanted to run the triathalon as your LSPDFR Character? Now you can. Or, how about practicing with your sidearm down at the range? Yep, got that too. Simply want a can of sprunk from a vending machine? No problem.
With the introduction of a new innovative system by @LMS, it's now possible to do many of the single-player minigames while playing as your LSPDFR Character.
Of course, with the Character system, and all of the features that come with it, being such a huge part of LSPDFR 0.4 it'd be easy to forget that this is a police mod. Indeed, I think we almost did given the grotesquely gargantuan amount of work that has gone into it. Fear not, though, as we have also been working on some incredible new gameplay features too, including massive improvements to interaction with suspects and people that you arrest.
LSPDFR 0.4 introduces, in a game-changing way, the ability to take hold of and drag arrested suspects. Yes, we know that there's some great API mods which have held the fort, and we're grateful for that, but this is something we wanted to get absolutely right, and indeed, we think the result is simply stunning. The possibilities are pretty far-reaching too and encompass just about everything from shoving suspects up against cruisers, to personally escorting them into their cells.
No, these aren't cutscenes. No, they're not edited screenshots. With 0.4, this is real.
