I agree, I use a game pad deal (Xbox360 controler) so I don't have to worry about the button but I too agree about the mouse middle button, very nice to have and use when I don't have my game pad around :)

Ok for what ever reason (and I really don't feel like tracking one down) I tried multiple times to login, and even requested a password reset and waited 30 minutes twice (hour total) for the reset to be sent, even checked spam and all that so yea not sure whats going on there, but anyways Im back, not 100% what my old account is/was called or if its still around so I figured to save the headache time to just make one and come back, anyways hope to see new things coming soon and I finially reserved my copy of GTA V so Im thrilled about that....anyways hope to get LCPDFR back up but seem to have an odd issue....but Ill get that sorted I suppose!!! I wouldn't mind this, however I can see some inherent issues as the script(s) would have to some how know first where the pursuit is located and what street its on plus possibly a cross street, sounds like it could be done but not entirely sure...

The default as said before is G key but if your good with computers (or you just want to) you can change the key via the .ini file(s), its been a while since ive done this but don't quote me on that, best thing to do is just press G and test ;)

Ok not really in need of "support" per se (as I can 99% of the time sort things out on my own) but kinda in need of some answers for the most part to help me out with LCPD FR, I just have a few questions as far as things are concerned. Question 1: does LCPDFR rely on a network/internet connection when installing? (IE is there a way to reinstall the mod if I don't have one?) Question 2: are we on a new release of LCPD FR if so when should I down load? (also goes back to the first question) Question 3: if I download the newest version of LCPDFR will it cause my game to have to restart? (will it conflict in any known way with the LCPDFR RC2?) anyways I plan to get the latest but want to answer the questions before I get it as its a big pain in the rear end to put it on the computer that I use to play GTA as that machine has no internet connection at all and I don't want to upgrade/download the new one if I have to have a network connection to install it as its a pain to run networking cables and I have no wireless set up yet. (if I have to have network connection I would rather wait till I get the wireless set up on that computer first). Anyways hope to get some answers soon so I can get on with playing my favorite mod of all times!!

Ok I been looking through the support area and help files for some info on how the stats work (the stiff in my signature area) they don't seem to update all the time, so when does it actually update? how do I update them? is there a way to force it to update in real time or does it update when I go off duty? I hope someone would be able to explain that more to me, thanks!!! also how does "evidence" work? how do i collect it and turn it in?

you know, I never played MP except once on Xbox360 and didn't care for it, but this sounds pretty impressive that I may just try MP again, you guys sound like an interesting group, I have done some real life work for emergency services so heck I may feel at home it sounds like!!

ELS would always crash for me at the mission where you go to the abandoned hospital to get the drugs back for Elizabetha when all the cops come after you :( v5 and v6, also i want to try and reinstall it to use it with LCPDFR but cant find V5 anymore and I know i had it one time on my system...oh well...

if your talking to me, yes I am quite sure, I play LCPDFR every day and this is how I resolved my issue (what the OP states they are experiencing) now I can't say for sure the OP will see the same results as they may or may not be running additional mods that may conflict, I don't LCPD fr is all I run, nothing else, so I know the steps i took worked for me, so I can only suggest them here for others to try.

first to correct this (i had same issue) uninstall LCPDFR and then reinstall it as well as the two items quoted below. once those two (three) steps are done, hop in game, then to check and see if it works on yoru keyboard press and HOLD the LEFT ALT key and hit "P" that should start the LCPDFR mod.

I run my game fully maxed out with modded cars, (some times I will use ELS if I want that) and I do use LCPDFR as for LCPDFR I have yet to really see a major crash (minor things here and there no big deal, its a mod, I expect it to happen) as for my rig it was designed with being a power house for these type of games (designed when FSX was still in beta stages and was a really hungery game for ram and CPU and graphics...) so I can't really say much about your rig but I would honestly say if you can add a gig or two of RAM it will help some, the most strain for your rig in GTA4 is either on graphics or CPU or both, simply because of the cars and AI and all that mess....

ok, sorry to bring up a possibly deat topic/thread with the thread-scavator...but I want to use my own cars (i already got them in mind) but Im having a spot of trouble finding what the name is for the NOOSE Patriot in the vehicles.img file, if any one has or knows which it is (or has a list of all the police vehicles names) I would appreciate the help!!! thanks! and yes before someone yells the classic "use search" stuff I have searched and even googled (searched) it or at least attempted to do so....

more of this, would love to see more pursuits both ones I can join into and ones that are started just at random, speeders and things like that, also the "routine" police work too!

ok resolved, I kinda feel stupid, I would suggest maybe adding that to the guide so new people know which Alt to press as it just says "push Alt+P to start..." thanks!!! its working now! (im used to pressing the right alt+ what ever key)

Ok, I got the non working mod issue resolved (reinstall worked great) but heres a kicker, and yes I did read other threads but based on my symptoms the other threads are related to non working set ups, mine kinda works...so heres the kicker bit... I can go on duty, if I push "ctrl+P" (forces duty i believe) but just normal ALT+P is no go, the marker that should show up to let me select my police char isn't showing up, however radio call outs and random events that happen while on the road do happen and work just fine, even helped stop a domestic assult, but wound up getting busted for stopping it (go figure). so at this point I can start the random missions and radio ccall outs but can not select my own police person (or get the markers to show up to let me get to said police station. as for my system here are the specs... AMD Quad core X2 Phenom black edition RAM 8GB Video Card: Radeon 1700HD (x2) 1GB ram per card so yes after reading other threads that say to delete things and what not if your game/mod isn't working are not what I seem to need to do as my game works just fine and my mod kinda works, just doesn't let me go into the PD or what ever....so yea hopefully we can get this sorted, again thanks!!! Oh and if it helps, im at the start of a new game just after the "Cousens Bellic" mission where your in a semi tutorial mode (just after that) if it helps I have just compleated the first mission, the one where you just got off the boat and are driving to your first safe house, "the Cousins Belic"

well, yea, I could use that traoner, to speed it up, what the heck ;), and yes I did the whole bit about not being read only. still was no go, but uninstall and reinstall has the mod kinda working, not sure if I should make a new topic for this or not but I can "force duty" but I can't use the Alt+p to go on duty and select the police person I wish to use, using the LCPDFR 0.95RC2 so I looked and it appears to have installed correctly so not sure whats going on, random events DO happen, (already got busted for helping one) so yea now to figure out why I can't go on duty and select my police char...

well if needed Ill do that, will hate to have to reopen all the islands before modding but what ever...its a shot I guess...would prefer if possible not to...

My bad it was the RC2 I was tring to install before, I installed the .91 and were no go there, im gonna try to install 95RC2 again and see if doing it in admin mode helps as I do have win 7 so that may be a possibility here. I also have a character mod for Niko if thats also important. Nope, tried to "run as administrator" and were still a no go there....here is the error log as it gave me. Ok I am trying to install the mod, I do have ELS (should be V6) installed and it works find, mark 7 siren mod, works find with a few ELS enabled cars for GTA4, as far as im aware i have the latest patch for the game which is 1.0.7 or something like that, so I tried to install the mod and the installer keeps saying I should post this in the forums so here I am, making a post, I have attached the log dump that I was instructed to post by the installer below. im installing the 0.95 beta version if that helps anyone.
