  1. Please ignore the above post. It seems I am unable to edit it. Probably related to the current site maintenence. What I was trying to say was: when you install LCPDFR, you will be presented with a list of items half way through the installer, all of which will have their own checkbox next to them. One will say "dsound.dll" another will say "xliveless.dll" select "xliveless" and unselect "dsound".
  2. Sounds good, post it here when its done :)
  3. Yes, if he's on a admin account he won't need to however, if he's on a limited account then he will.
  4. Are you running the game as a administrator?
  5. Everyone experiences that bug every now and then. Theres nothing that can be done about it as it only happens once in a million times.
  6. Make sure you are installing the correct file. There are two that come with the 1.0.7.0 patch and using the wrong one won't work. I suggest trying the other installer file that came in the download.
  7. Please follow the stickies. Download the diagnostics tool from my signature then ru it as a administrator and post the text displayed on the "more information" part. Please read this: http://www.lcpdfr.com/forum-20/announcement-5-need-support-read-this-first/
  8. Try downloading it from the link in my signature instead.
  9. Answer the above question, then make sure that you have installed these like I said earlier http://www.microsoft...ang=en&id=17718 http://www.microsoft...lang=en&id=5555
  10. Go into your root directory typically - C:program filesrockstar gamesGrand theft auto IV Look for the following two files: dsound.dll xlive.dll only one should be present, if there is two, delete one.
  11. What are you trying to say? We aren't a request forum for car mods. Try looking on GPM or youtube for vehicle mods, requests most likely won't be met here unless they are directly related to LCPDFR.
  12. Ah I'm sorry, missed the "non-els". I'm not sure but you should try it anyway. It may still work.
  13. Run the diagnostics tool and post the text displayed on the "more info" section. Install both of these: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=0a391abd-25c1-4fc0-919f-b21f31ab88b7 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=a7b7a05e-6de6-4d3a-a423-37bf0912db84&displaylang=en
  14. Why does everyone like the glocks so much? I'm not disagreeing with you, just curious as to why you all like them.
  15. Try getting the radiance mod, this really enhances just the lights alone without any lag etc.
  16. AlconH replied to J T's topic in Discussion
I really do recommend it. It really enhances your game play especially when on foot patrol.
  17. Man, thats a shame, I really hate the ELS bugs :(
  18. Please use the search feature on the site before posting. Make sure your GTA directories are not readonly, especially the COMMON/DATA folder. Also ensure you are running the installer as an administrator.
  19. Please do as Dhruv asks, the only way your problem is going to be solved is if you listen to us. Also try reading this, which you should have done already: http://www.lcpdfr.com/forum-20/announcement-5-need-support-read-this-first/
  20. lol, nice videos though. I like your LAPD vid as well.
  21. Have you created firewall exceptions for the game?
