LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread
Yeah, I've been thinking of setting one up to make modding easier for people when I've got some more free time next week. Could easily be setup so everything (even the metas) could go in there.

sometimes Rockstar updates vehicles in their updates, the way the game loads them means the last update overrides anything earlier. So, if the instructions say to install in patchday1, and the sheriff slot got updated in patchday3, the default one will override the modded one. You should be able to get it to work by installing it into patchday10 (you can basically install every modded car in the last patchday you've got.... though the meta files still generally need to go where the mod author specifies

When you consider Ford VS Holden, NSW VS VIC, NSW VS QLD, I think we did well to last 4 days and 3 pages :P

LSPDFR API feature requests
In addition to all of the above, I'd love for there to be some functions to interact with Traffic Stops a bit better - including most of all, a way to create a new traffic stop and assign peds to it. I had a bunch of other ideas I cant remember right now, if they come back to me I'll add them.

For Everyone That Is Crashing
Even that ^^ isn't entirely accurate. The only file you need to worry about is update.rpf, ALL rockstar updates tweak this file and add a new patchdayXXng folder under the dlcpatches (but since this is new, it wont exist in your mods folder). This is why its best to put custom modded cars into the dlcpacks, as you can pretty much avoid ever needing to touch update.rpf (for car mods anyway, things like VisualV will always need to be in update.rpf AFAIK)

XB Falcon (with permissions ;)). I'm not 100% sure they were ever used IRL (I did find a couple of photos of a VIC highway patrol candy-car XB, but thats about it). I know its a ford and all, but I think it'll make a nice older patrol car

Does anyone have a decent tutorial video they can share for ZModeler? Have a car I'd like to convert to a police model, but dear god there are so many buttons and things in that damn app!

Back in Paleto Bay in the Holden Sportswagon for a peaceful patrol (at least until GTA does its usual crazyness):

Looked it up, apparently the one we use is a VE SS. I'm not a huge stickler for things being spot-on accurate though, so I'd be content driving that Evoke around too :D Looking forward to the new cars, the Hilux was certainly worth the wait :D

Argh, I cant see the greatest car cause of the stupid forum limits on those fancy links :( On the topic of car models, I'd absolutely love to see the following made: - Unmarked Holden Ute (not sure on the exact model they use here in the ACT, probably a VE/VF) - Northern Territory Hilux Paddy Wagon (Cage and tarp instead of the pod used in more civilized states) - NSWPF Road/Snow Safe Lexus Hybrids (mostly after the Snow Safe car for some winter Mt Chiliad patrols) - More Aussie unmarked cars, not sure about other states but here we have a variety, would love to see a Falcon, Camry, maybe a Landcruiser or similar (pretty sure ACT has a RAV4 too, but who wants to drive one of those?) Totally get that car models take a ton of time and sometimes a bunch of cash as well, so I get that these most likely wont get made, just putting it out there since we've got so many talented aussie car modders here :)

CALLING DEVS / PLAYERS - Callout Probability
I'm not sure you can claim all your callouts are set to Medium, when you allow users to change probability in your INI that affects the number of times you register your callouts. Kinda defeats the point of even bothering to use the probability IMO, and definitely isnt the same as registering all your callouts once at Medium. Since you decided to target my callout pack for no reason, can you explain to me how exactly having different callouts being the responsibility of different police departments, like is the case in real life, is "abnormal policing"? If this is abnormal, why doesn't America just have one singular department that handles everything?

Sovereign Citizens
We need some Sovereign Citizens in callouts....

Early morning RBT / DUI Checkpoint north of Hookies catches several Paleto Bay residents drinking and driving on their way home. It doesn't take long for GTA to throw some randomness in my face either!

CALLING DEVS / PLAYERS - Callout Probability
I like the concept, but its the kind of thing that'll get broken too easy to be worth it IMO. It'll end up with most devs rating their callouts appropriately, then one guy comes along, copy-pastes the API example and sets it to very high/always and the rest of us never see our callouts again :P

Today's live patrol spotlights the newly released NSW Police Toyota Hilux Paddy Wagon by Macgregor/Down Under Mods. I think the chat overlay is a bit too intrusive, so I'll try and scale it down a bit for next weeks livestream.

NSW Police Toyota Hilux Paddy Wagon
Great car, so glad to finally get to play with it. I did find the included handling left it a little bit rolly-polly at high speeds, fixed it by increasing the fMass to 3780 - doesn't seem to have hindered its agility any, just stops it from rolling onto its side. I don't suppose it's possible at all to use the messageboard?

Not really sure what to say about today's patrol other than it was pretty much par for the course in Sandy Shores.

FireFighters Mod (Mode Sapeurs-Pompiers)
Cant seem to get this to work, no matter what I try. I'm constantly getting "it is impossible to be on scene now" when trying to advise that I'm on scene, which seems to block me from actually ever being able to resolve my first call.
