  1. Yes. All you have to do is rename the directory name to 'Grand Theft Auto V' for which ever version you want to run and run from the corresponding desktop icon. Both game folders have to be in your common folder for this to work. You just HAVE to be careful you don't forget to swap folders and accidentally run normal when your modded folder is in the name path because that will launch the game. Wont run the mods, but the files are there and if Rockstar detects them, Boom! Ban hammer
  2. Ha! Police engine sounds for the police bike, That'd be hilarious
  3. Check out this tutorial video I did on working with backups, and running multiple installs to make it easy to switch between online and single player modded game:
  4. There is a need for this, for sure. The one thing to keep in mind here is that mods are designed to break a game and make it your bitch to run in ways it was not designed to run. Keep in mind that coding mods for this game is not an easy task. If it were, We would have more mods on here than forum posts. With callouts, police radio, and other mods that are designed to increase immersion, available tasks to perform etc; the coding is simply using whats in the game and writing scripts to call up certain objects, animations, etc and run a certain way, much like rockstar does in creating the SP missions. When you are doing something like freezing units you are in place when normally they are hard coded in the game to drive off after so many seconds, Coding a mod to freeze them is literally trying to stop the game from doing what is normal. This causes possible crashes and even the game to simply ignore it and do what it wants any ways... That being said, I have been here about 6 months, and in that short time I have seen mods improve, and new ones created and alot of them. The experience does improve over time and it gets leaner meaner and runs better because these guys all work their asses of in their free time to try and create police role play utopia. The mods will not always work as intended, crashes will happen. One day what you want will be here. I know, Its happened for me and every other dude on here many times I'm sure.
  5. Agency callouts has this option built into the duty menu. However, Darkmyre warns it is experimental. I have mine set to freeze all the time. Have experienced some crashes due to this, but nothing too bad.
HOLY CHIT! Kicking myself for not delving into this mod earlier. Increases realism/immersion while making the chore of managing intense situations such as a pursuit or shoot out much more manageable, all with one button. High five man. As I get a chance to fine tune it for me, I suspect this will become a staple in my game play and my patrol videos! 9 Thumbs way up!!!
  6. Not quite sure what you are referring to here. My assumption is that you mean the Lights dim, especially during the day and do not much look like ELS. If this is the case, Try these:
  7. Unfortunately that's the name of the game. I never use RPH revert. I keep multiple backups of working versions on my D drive and Keep both vanilla and modded versions on my C drive for easily switching back n forth between online and modded SP games. My backups have saved my ass more times than not when it comes to GTA V updates. Check out a tutorial I did on using backups and running multiple installs: Also, Just for giggles, You might enjoy this: http://buddarocks.blogspot.com/2016/06/hitler-reacts-to-latest-grand-theft.html Hitler is in the same boat and none to happy about it!
  8. You can also use a trainer to customize weapons. Granted, It is not ideal, but if you're paroling outside of Los santos, Using the armory may not be ideal. I generally don't use the armory unless I start a patrol at the D/T Police station. That being said, The ability to create custom loadouts with that plug in is awesome.
  9. There are some tips here related to what you describe.
  10. Please read this topic and follow all instructions to receive support. With out requested screenshots and log files, Providing possible solutions is nearly impossible. Many of us are willing to assist if we can http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/forum/888-support-information/?do=add
  11. ok, I am just trying to help brother. Let me know if I can help further. I know how it is to have things crash - it gets frustrating.
  12. Would you mind posting screenshots of your gta v main directory, Plugins main folder and plugns/lspdfr folder and what is inside of LSPDFR/Police scanner please?

  15. Modding game files does not come with out some level of difficulty and some trial and error. I am willing to bet that, like alot of us, you're having a similar issue with some plugins needing to be updated - this is normal and you will need to do this as often as the mods/plugins are updated. This is the nature of modding and necessary to keep the mods working. WIth continuous R*updates, and mod authors improving coding, updates are just plain necessary. I am sure you realize that when a big game update happens, there is a period where alot of trial and error happens until enough time has passed to have the mods/plugins have the bugs worked out. I hate to hear people completely giving up due to frustration, especially giving up on a game completely, Though I do understand it. As Alcon stated above, Pretty sure what is causing your issue, but log files and screenshots can help us confirm the cause of the issue and offer up solutions. It is probably just an issue of needing to update some of the plugins - again this happens all the time. Just this week, I have downloaded a few of the plugins more than once within a 24 hr period due to additional updates. Again - This is the name of game when it comes to modding your game. Also, making backups of both your modded game and vanilla game will allow you to revert to a working version. If you are on a steam version, simply having steam verify cache can fix alot of issues with your vanilla game. Using a mods folder is paramount to avoiding serious issues with your vanilla install. I wish you luck. I am sure most of us here are still willing to help if we can.
  16. Hello all, Thought I'd throw down here. Loving this community and how everyone has their own unique style. 33 episodes and counting, and they are getting better as we go. I also have other gta v related series as well. Much Much more to come.... https://www.youtube.com/user/officialbuddarocks
  17. Here in my area, No tax means that as per DMV records, The registration fees were not paid, and usually it is because they used a fraudulent form of payment or their check bounced and the outstanding balance has not been paid. Here, that is an arrest able fine, but it is left to the officer's discretion whether to arrest or simply write a summons to court.
  18. Yes, Log file please. I am willing o bet that this is related to other threads and a 401 update error. Basically, Darkmyre has updated all of his mods to work with an API, and all update checking is done through his update manager plugin. Try uninstalling all of Darkmyre's mods, downlad the latest versions and reinstall. That fixed the issue for me. (his new system is an improvement anyways)
  19. Try simply moving your mods folder out of the directory and launching the game/ spawning the vanilla Emergency vehicles you're having an issue with. . If any carvariations or vehicles meta was changed or edited, this should fix it. If they spawn and work like they should, then there is an issue within the mods folder and one of the vehicles installed. If needed, it is easy to just simply copy the mods folder back into the directory and put everything back.
  20. Some of us have had an issue with LSPDFR crashing due to an update check error. IF you have not read the thread already, Check here:
  21. In my experience yes. I deleted all the darkmyre plugins and reinstall the latest versions. I beleive this to be mainly because Dark just changed to an API based coding, and checking for updates is now done though his update manager.. Logically makes sense to me as to why this error was occurring. During testing, after I removed all plugins, and slowly added them in. Everything else worked fine. Once I reinstalled an older version of any of Dark's plugins, LSPDFR crashed
  22. Yep, Tis true. Thanks for confirming Albo. You.Da.Man!
  23. Actually, It does work on its own. I'm guessing I need to reinstall plugins to figure out which one is causing it.
