Alright, well I did as you said. Went to the said location, right-clicked, ran as admin, and got this: "GTAIV.exe - Ordinal Not Found" "The ordinal 5367 could not be located in the dynamic link library xlive.dll" AHA! There seems to be no xlive or xliveless or whatever the hell its called in the GTAIV folder. Is that it? I seem to remember having something different though. And isnt xlive an ASI loader anyway? I dunno, like I said its been a LONG time, and Ive been modding Star Wars Battlefront, so Ive completely forgotten how to tinker with GTA lol

Ok, before I do that, I'm instlling the patch now. Should I get rid of the social club? Its asking if I want to completely remove it and all of its features. Yes/no?

I HAD this game on here, with the patch, wiith mods and all that fancy jazz, and it worked fine, until I did something retarded with the weapon files and caused it to crash. Then my laptop broke and the HD was replaced, so I lost all files. So, long story short, its been a long time since I played GTA IV. I reinstalled and it works fine, but thats as is, from the disk, without any updates. If I remember correctly many mods like LCPDFR require the 1.0.7.0 patch. So in preparation to begin modding the game again, I updated it with the 1.0.7.0 patch, and that removes the Rockstar Social club thngy, and changes the little login box. So when I click play, it acts like its gonna load, gives me the little spinning disk icon, I can hear my drive spinning up, then it stops. And nothing happens. It will not launch. I had it working a long time ago, but damned if I remember what I did. Any suggestions to get this game to actually launch, with this 1.0.7.0 patch? Thank you.

With LCPDFR installed on "hardcore" mode, it makes Niko stumble when shot, and does ALOT more damage. And I love it. But I'd like to take it a step further. I want more cops. More SWAT. More police snipers. I was wondering if there is a mod out there that spawns more SWAT/FBI guys and Enforcers/FBI cars when on 6 stars. Also, spawns alot more police snipers around the city. And with the 2 Black Hawks, It'd be cool to have one with M4/Sniper Rifle gunners and the other with RPG/Sniper gunners. Just some Ideas. Also at like 4 stars and up, regular cops no longer have pistols/pump shotguns but instead have MP5 and the auto shotgun. I just want the LCPD to have more firepower, and I want to constantly be on the run, taking cover, and being surrounded/overwhelmed. I want a challenge.

Is LCPDFR compatible with "OUTBREAK: Infectious Zombie Mod for 1.0.4.0 / 1.0.7.0" or any other zombie mod for that matter? I would like to know before I install it and cause some serious errors and crashes. Side note: I downloaded a weapn pack and it has text documents with weapon stats. I'm not sure were to put them. I opened weaponinfo.xml but its a text page, not a folder with files.

That's all fine and dandy. But usually game mods consist of a series of files that the user must "drag and drop" or copy and paste/replace. Stuff like this that "installs" itself is plagued with problems. And I have asked for help, multiple times, only to be given the same redundant advice such as "run as admin". Typical elitist PC gamer attitude. I despise your kind.

@cp702 YOU THINK I HAVN'T DONE THAT? How stupid are you? You can't post in support. I've tried everything they say. Running the game as an administrator does NOTHING. Gettinng rid of dsound.dll does NOTHING. Unchecking the read only box on the files does NOTHING, and the reset back to it anyway. The diagnostic tool on this site CRASHES. For christs sake, what is wrong with you people? What kind of magic fucking computers do you own that run this thing so flawlessly? I want this sack of shit off my computer because as of right now I can't even play GTA at all.

I have tried EVERYTHING. It wont work. GTA wont startup. Ran as admin, unchecked read only, C+++, .NET, got rid of dsound.dll, got the 1.0.7.0 patch, even the diagnostic thing from this site CRASHED before it finished. You people have been of no help whatsoever. Absolutely worthless. I just want to play GTA normally. f**k this peice of s**t. Tell me how to fix my damn game!

Access is denied." I've read the stuff in the support section. Still don't get it. I've unchecked the read-only boxes on all the game files. I am running it as an administrator. I've also run it in compatibility mode. I have the .NET thing. and the C+++ thing. What do I do?
