    Problem solved!

The issue is with ZPatch.asi and GameplayFixes.asi - Both of them are recommended when using a custom config file, but they are not required.
Removing both of them fixes all issues and make the game/mod more stable.

Thanks for the help. Mods can close the thread.

Hey, sorry if this is too late or anything, but what I did to solve the issue is that I reinstalled the previous version of TrainerV and it worked.

I hope this helps if you still want to use the trainer.

For me it is definitely Simple Trainer for GTA V (named trainerV.asi/.ini in the game directory). I installed version 17.9 and the issue appeared. Going back to version 17.7 or 17.8 fixed the bug.

Hi, thanks for a quick reply.

Been troubleshooting and found out the bug was caused by simpletrainer (TrainerV)

I don't really understand why the trainer all of the sudden just broke the AI, but I'm not going to question it and just used a different mod menu.

Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope troubleshooting works for all of you!

Delete the trainer from your files, if you are using simpletrainer (TrainerV), run the game again and see if you get the same bug.

Mine had to do with the mod menu I was using.

Vehicles slow down too much when youre out of your car on a traffic stop. They also move over too much and hit other cars. Maybe have some slow down, some go fast or swerve into your car, make them move over slightly, not as much as it is now, and they should be going slightly faster, not at a crawl

But when you use it with STP, the driver leaves the vehicle where he was stopped, right? What I meant was to signal the driver to pullover while the player is on foot, the driver pulls over and waits inside the car until the player interacts with the ped.

And would be nice to implement features from STP in the base mod, to reduce the community dependency on these massive plugins that had they development ceased/abandoned

Hi @LMS, sorry to bother you.
It has been more than a year since RPH is no longer updated on the website (latest version 1.87) and the most recent version (1.95) only comes with LSPDFR. As this is a non-open source project, it is not possible to collaborate or request certain features, such as the implementation of the hashes of the new weapons or an updated natives.h.
So I would like to ask why it has not been made public given the abandonment of the original development team.

@Cyan No clue if these features are possible or already exist, but here are my ideas:

    Tricky Foot Bails
If the suspect vehicle receives extensive damage or the pursuit is prolonged, they could pick a specific location to foot bail. For example, if they happen to approach a metro station or a tight alleyway, the occupants could run toward that direction. If not on their toes, the player could easily lose the suspects.

Similarly, the vehicle could temporarily stop to allow their passenger to foot bail while the driver continues. It might also work vice versa, as the driver could exit their vehicle and surrender to police, but the passenger takes the wheel. This scenario would be hectic especially with more occupants.

    Traffic Stop Reactions
Drivers could act disobedient once a traffic stop is initiated. To elaborate, they could slam their breaks and exit their vehicle, subsequently yelling obscenities. Also, they could approach the officer or simply walk away from their vehicle.

Likewise, a paranoid passenger could flee from the traffic stop or go on the offensive, so a pursuit would start. Meanwhile, their driver could surrender or flee. This would add even more uncertainty to 'routine' stops.

    Conclusion
As I conclude, my idea is that these events would be fairly rare, so they're not ridiculously repetitive. If not a priority for the FR team, it would be interesting to see plugin developers pick these up, as they might be interested in these scenarios. I would love to see a similar implementation.

Lastly, being an avid LSPDFR player, thank you and the team for such an amazing modification!

First I use Button Set 19 from the Free Me! mod

then I've set the police radio on/ off to the "back button" on the X360 Controller.

Now for ELS, I disable "controller keybind" and use a software called Controller Companion ( steam link here). It's pretty cheap, works why every single game and has a better interface than any other controller emulators.

    My setup is like this:

    For ELS:

DPad Left: Emulates J Keyboard Key- Lightstage 1,2 and 3
DPad Up - Emulates G  Keyboard Key Enable / Disable Siren
DPad Right - Emulates H Keyboard Key Enable / Disable Headlights/ Takedowns ( button set 19 disables the headlight OEM keybind, so I emulate the keyboard to "re-enable" it)
B- Emulates T Keyboard Key Manual Mode/ Siren 2 ( manual mode when siren enabled)

    Police Radio:
    Back Button- On/ OFf
DPad Down- Menu Down ( unfortunately I disabled Menu Up because of ELS)
    X- Enter/ Accept

For other mods like Search Warrant, Easy Loadout, etc  I use the keyboard binds as for shootouts/ running after suspects the keyboard and mouse configuration is more accurate.

Honestly, I think you're reading into an issue that doesn't even exist. You don't yet know how the badge will work in 0.4.2. Also cops don't instantly kill you unless you're already near death or have mods that affect their accuracy and/or strength. I don't see the issue myself. I respect your opinion but you're making a suggestion (quote' they really need to change the AI behavior if you don't want to be dead before raising the badge 'unquote) without any knowledge of how this feature will be implemented.

This update will really open up a lot of new possibilities for callouts and plugins. Big thanks to @LMS for being receptive to all the new API ideas. For those of you who are devs, you can post your own suggestions in the API Development forum for consideration.

Hot off the release of LSPDFR 0.4 a couple of months ago, we're upping the ante with another update which brings not only sweeping improvements to the LSPDFR 0.4 API, but also some unique features which have long been requested.

Originally, the plan was merely to release 0.4.2 as a quick follow-up to 0.4 and 0.4.1 - just simple fixes and changes, plus the API improvements to help developers make the most of 0.4.  Necessary changes, but not really cool enough, right?  So, with that in mind we took a little time to dig back into the archives of LSPDFR and revisit some of our old concepts and ideas.  Now, while some of these are actually in the mod - they're most likely either tucked away as 'easter eggs' or just disabled because they weren't quite right.

If you're a connoisseur of traffic stops, for example, you might've noticed that occasionally the unexpected and oh so demoralizing experience of pulling over a federal agent hits you right in the feels as they arrogantly flash their shiny badge, tell you where to stick your comparatively less shiny badge, and drive off.  (If you haven't seen this before, here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNOxZR2ak0M)

Originally the plan was to add this as a feature for players to use, but it just didn't quite fit in with 0.3, and we had some trouble with the animation not being quite as fluid as we'd like.  That was then, though, and given that you now play as your own character both on and off duty, we thought it'd be a bit of a must-have now, so we've tidied it up and are introducing it as a player action in 0.4.2.

With one quick glance at the shimmering shield, her problems are suddenly your problems.  (Note, a custom badge model is shown instead of the default FIB one - you will be able to define custom models to use on a per-agency basis)

Now, not only does this look exceedingly awesome, but it serves a practical purpose too.  Available both on and off-duty, showing your badge will clear any wanted level and may also instill the fear of the law in nearby citizens, potentially de-escalating the otherwise unavoidable confrontations that flare when you walk around Mirror Park without the latest iFruit phone, for example!

Of course, that's not all.  Continuing with the idea of adding things that are just generally cool, we know that people have wanted a ballistic shield feature in LSPDFR for quite some time.  Sure, you can spawn one with a trainer or download another mod, but it's just not quite the same is it?

We thought it'd be particularly sweet to have it at your fingertips instead, fully integrated with LSPDFR, ready to kick some butt.

As if being Frank Tenpenny isn't cool enough...

Our ballistic shield, accessed from the Interaction Menu, uses our new animation system in 0.4.2 which we think looks absolutely gorgeous.  There's also the freedom to switch between Stealth and Action mode which will vary your pose accordingly, compatibility with most weapons and the potential for future AI support.

Oh yeah, did we mention you can actually arrest people at gunpoint while holding a freaking shield?!

Keep your eyes open for LSPDFR 0.4.2, coming soon.

Will LSPDFR sync related features be added to the API at some point in the future? It would be cool for callouts/plugins to be able to add their own stats and activities to the activity feed. E.g. "Bob Vance just freed 5 hostages at the Pacific Standard Bank", "EMS just saved 2 people on Vespucci Boulevard... sadly, 3 people did not make it", etc.

We often get questions from console players asking how they can play LSPDFR on console, or they want to switch to PC but have no idea how to get started.  In order to not deceive anyone, let me be clear that LSPDFR  is a PC only modification.  Cyan (one of the developers) has said a few times that there is a good chance it will always be PC only.

Side note:  LCPDFR is for GTA IV, and LSPDFR is for GTA V.  Making this clarification because people regularly confuse the two and cause confusion for others. 😛

This leaves only one option, getting a PC. If you've only played on console, the PC world can be confusing at first.  What do I buy?  What runs games the best?  I assume all computers can run games equally. Do I have to use mouse/keyboard?  Desktop or laptop?

I've been in your position before.  I started off playing some of the original consoles all the way up until the PS3 before I switched to PC.  Lets address the whole desktop vs laptop question.  Desktops are better and generally offer a lot more power, however gaming laptops can be good if you're willing to fork over the cash.  One of the biggest differences from console and PC gaming is prices.  PCs can cost a shit ton, especially if you regularly replace parts for the newest and best.  Some people opt to build their own gaming PC, which is cheaper to do.  There are plenty of tutorials out there if it's something you wish to try.  Regardless of laptop or desktop, the more expensive a computer is the better it will be.  There might be rare exceptions where a cheap desktop runs a game like GTA V with mods at good fps, but for the most part, expensive is better!

If you're still asking laptop or desktop, it comes down to you and what is more comfortable and convenient for you.  If you're a console player who has never used a desktop or rarely ever uses one (lets face it, in this day and age most people just use their phones), it might be awkward at first to get use to things. I recommend you go out to whatever local place sells PCs and you play around with their display laptop and desktops, see which you like better.  I will note, if you go for a laptop, you 100% need to buy a mouse separately.  The laptop track pad is garbage.

If you want recommendations, or want an opinion on a PC you're considering, feel free to post here - https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/forum/813-computers-technology-gaming/

    ------

Quick note: You cannot go into GTA online with mods.  If you want to play GTA Online as well, I recommend keeping two directories, a vanilla/clean one and one for mods.

Once you have your PC and you're ready to get into LSPDFR, here are the first steps you need.  I will not be providing a tutorial on how to install any of this!  Both LSPDFR and RagePluginHook come with readmes that tell you how.  There are also plenty of tutorials on Youtube.

    1) Download LSPDFR from here:

    2) Launch RPH and verify LSPDFR is working as intended.

If you see the police station icons on the map, you can open the Rage menu with F4, and you can go on duty to be a cop, congratulations, you have got things working and can begin your patrol!

By default, LSPDFR comes with only two-three callouts.  If you want to add more for variety, check out the plugins section of our downloads - https://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/

Downloading other mods is optional, but most people go for more because they want to enhance their game and/or make it personalized.  You can either keep the game lore friendly (IE Los Santos Police, Blaine County Sheriff), or you can download mods that have real life liveries and names.  It is your game, you can mod it however you want.  There's no right or wrong way in terms of personalization.

There's so much you can do with your game on PC, so don't worry if it's overwhelming.  We're here to help if you need it. 🙂

I'm currently running NVR without any issues as of yet, though I haven't had a ton of time to play. If NVR causes any issues I'll edit this post with that.

So far I'm really enjoying 0.4. The first thing I noticed was that it seems like traffic stops have been refined quite a bit. In 0.3 the AI would just scoot over a couple feet and basically stop in the middle of the road. Every car I've stopped so far (albeit only a few) have pulled all the way over or even onto the sidewalk just a little, which I feel is way more realistic and safe for players- less likely to get hit by a car.

In terms of addons I've gotten ELS, EUP, NVR, SimpleFootControls, some custom vehicle models, and custom weapon models working without a hitch. I might also give some of Albo's mods a try just to see if any of them work, it seems like there's been mixed success with other people. Mostly I'd just like to have Computer+ and Smart Radio back, maybe Traffic Policer as well.

Been experiencing some performance loss even when just running LSPDFR on its own, so I don't think it's the mods doing it. My old system ran 0.3 fairly smoothly so I'm trying to figure out what's causing the FPS hit.

Aside from that, loving everything in 0.4!
