  1. the .asi and .ini for both need to be in the same directory as LaunchGTAIV.exe
  2. No, but they get annoyed by people who don't read.
  3. why are you answering that, if it's solved?
  4. please don't hy-jack threads, if you need help then start your own topic, your problem is not even close to what the other guy has.
  5. but it's a lesson that you can learn...always backup before making any changes to the originals. *EDIT*Not sure if the staff is too willing to have people sharing files as it's a breach of copyright.
  6. what do u want it to modify?
  7. How do you get ICE to work, are you using xliveless and 1.0.4.0?
  8. Looks amazing, I'd love to see if this would work on mine.
  9. I need someone to answer a few questions about this mod. I have a friend who's trying to use this mod becuause for them SparkIV is not starting up, and I don't use it. The files I give him for cars are in the .wft and .wtd files. How would he install them, as he does not know. Or does he need to put them in to a .zip file?
  10. laptops are not really built to be upgraded, it's all solder on parts, usually all u can upgrade is HDD and RAM. Your video card should work with things on Low settings. Also be advised, you can have the best computer ever and still have problems, GTA IV was a bad port to the PC. Rather than making it on PC them changing it for consoles, they made it for consoles than changed it for PS, and did a shit job at it.
  11. Press the Win key + R then type in dxdiag and hit enter. This will give you some information on your computer. 12. are you talking about RC3? because that's only given to testers......we where not even supposed to have RC2, but it was released by a tester. All current LCPD:FR versions that are downloadable are on the downloads page. RC2-R2 is the most current one.
  13. I registered with Facebook as well, and had the same problem, so that's what I ended up trying. I am glad it worked for you, and that we now have a verified workaround.

Due to the way functions, you won't be able to have custom cars, as you can only see what you have in your files, and I'll only see what I have in mine. For Toronto Virtual I am using the Toronto Mod @ but it requires ELS to make the lights work. Always make sure to back up your vehicles.img file before making any changes, in case you want to go back at a later date.
  15. The owners are quite busy. Bumping your topic's also is more likely to get your warned and banned than helped. Can we get system specs? *EDIT* I'm not familiar with that Start Game screen, check to see that your using the latest version of GTA IV.
  16. the difference between something like GTA V and PoliceHelper.........your gona pay for GTA V, people are being paid to work on it for you......are you paying him to make this mod? I doubt it. He can set his own schedules, and does not have to answer to anyone, he can set his own release dates. Workers at R* have deadlines set where they have to get stuff done to please stockholders/customers/bosses.
  17. There is a known issue with registering using your Facebook account and then logging in when installing. I believe a work around is (I've kinda tryed it, but not sure) go and set a password on your LCPD:FR account here: http://www.lcpdfr.com/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=email Then use your facebook name as the username.
  18. If your actually looking for LAN games, I'm not too sure, as everyone uses Live.
  19. not only does it stop them, I find that when they do pass you, they are slower, and a little more realistic.
  20. also, is there any error messages?
  21. If you can follow simple instructions, and read, it's not that hard to install, it virtually does it itself, but we are not mind readers, we can't tell exactly what problems your having, you need to help us help you. Support is a give and take business. Just saying it does not work is too vague, we need to know at what part, what it says, what computer your running, versions ect. Also SparkIV does not need to be "installed" just unpaced to any folder, it is seperate from GTA IV.
  22. I've only ever had 1 issue with TowService, when I was in TowMode=0 on a one way street the truck spawned, and tryed to come down the one way street and just stopped, I pushed the car closer to him, but that did nothing. Easy fix is just use it in TwoMode=2. Works amazing online as well. (Minimal crashes online also)
  23. All thats saying is that your stats could not be sent to the server as it was down, and recently there has been some hickups with their servers, so this is nothing to worry about. When you have been here for a while, you will get use to it :) It's nothing major and can be discarded :)

There are plenty of RP clans, some are quite serious, and others are more relaxed. If you take a look around the forums there are some posts with their information, such as (shameless self advertising)
