ELS will never be updated, if your having stability issues, I suggest trying V5, it's more stable, and unfortunatly Illumination V2.0 won't even be started on until they are done with 0.95 (they are focusing all their efforts on getting it ready)

I dislike ELS due to the god car mode, and the reflections not always matching right. Like I said, sadly the car mod I am using requires ELS, and I am no modder so I can make non-ELS versions, but I am looking forward to Illumination 2.0.

I'm running a Intel i7 (8 CPU's) @ 2.67GHz, 6GB RAM, and 2 ATI Radion HD 5800 Series @ 1GB VRAM each, plus an addition 12GB Virtual Ram.

I'm only using ELS V5 (grudgingly) because the cars that I wanted to use are ELS only, I would rather not use ELS, but I can't right now. I was just curious. Thanks for all the replies.

are you putting it under the right car?

go to your LaunchGTAIV.exe and right click, create shortcut, then move the shortcut to the desktop, right click the short cut, then properties, and under the shortcut tab, make the Target look like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV\GTAIV\LaunchGTAIV.exe" -norestrictions so that it has the -norestrictions after it. Then launch using this shortcut and you should do better. R* thinks they know our computers better than us so they limit what the game can actually use from your system. If your using steam, and want to run it through steam, you can in the ROOT folder make a txt first called commandline.txt and add the -norestrictions to it. It should work the same way.

if you press 3 while aiming at a suspect (or anyone else) the cops will then chase them, and shoot them to death :), funny to do in MP and you cann in NOOSE and everything and your friend does not realize why he keeps getting shot :P

the main answer to your question......YES!!!!! GTA IV is a bad port.

This is not an issue with this mod, it's just the wat the cops in GTA IV work. (In MP you can actually aim at a friendly cop, press 3 and then call in police/noose back up, and they will kill that cop). It's just how the AI is programmed.
