Hello, in my game, all the AI police cars don't move. I could have five stars but all the police cars are bugged and they just cant move or backup in LSPDFR are frozen. It's like they are stuck in place. I replaced the update.rpf with an original one and still same thing happens. This happens with original cars too so I have no clue why it is doing this. Also, I can't jack the police cars as I could before so I have no clue what's causing this issue. Happens both when launched with ragehook or regular game launcher. Removed all mods and tried that but still didn't work so really stumped now :/

    Cheers

i know it is probably way over priced, but I I couldn't persuade that fact, however I am very greatful and super excited to play with it! I loved GTA 4 with LCPD FR and I've played that for years. Also got a new internet, I've been having to deal with 1 mb download speed for a few years living at home, now I've moved out its a hell of a lot better so I can actually do lol my steam games too haha.

Thank you you so much for all of your help, I really appreciate it!

Hey, no worries. Pretty solid actually! Yes of course the prices are going to be much higher but as you said, you can't do much about it. Solid for your first couple years at max settings. And you can also upgrade your parts in the future if you ever want to as that case is pretty good. If you have any questions on why/how, feel free to msg me here and I'll be glad to help out. Also, I HIGHLY recommend you overclock your GTX 970. You can get an easy 10+FPS boost. Once again, feel free to ask anything via PM if you have any questions. Enjoy your new rig!

  3. i5 4460

sorry for repost, stupid mobile haha

No worries, that's not a bad CPU. Do you have a link to the PC? An I5-4460 and a GTX 970 is a pretty strong match. It's pretty close to what my rig now and I'm fine with GTA V maxed out @ 1080P 60FPS+.

  4. Thanks for replying!

Problem is, it's going to be a present however despite me explaining that fact the only option is for the computer to be a pre built, and on PC world (ouch) trust me I've tried to explain so much but at the end of the day, it's a present so I'm not complaining ha :)

would you you reccommend an i5 processor with a GTX 970 instead?

Ah okay, er what model of an I5?

  5. Would this be ok -

    Processor- Intel® Core™ i7-4790
    - Quad-core
    - 3.6 GHz / 4.0 GHz
    - 8 MB cache
Graphics cardNVIDIA GeForce GTX 745 (4 GB)

    16GB Ram

    thank you.

that cpu is good but GPU is really weak. I'm guessing this is a pre built? Trust me, for whatever you are paying for this, you'll get a lot more by building yourself :)

  6. I've finally got LSPDFR ready to go (first time user) and my BitDefender internet security 2015 keeps telling me its disinfecting the RAGEPluginHook when I try to launch the game. I've set BitDefender to manual instead of auto-pilot, but BD says there's something malicious attached tot he launcher. Any help?

Uninstall bitdefender, download AVG, problem solved :)

    *It's a false detect*

  7.  You clearly want a sugar paper board.

? MSI is not that bad, they changed their manufacturers and their quality has gotten a lot better since then. I've used 10+ MSI boards in the past month or so (building PC's for people) and no one has reported any issues. Still ,your choice. There are a lot of options on the market that you can choose from, this is just from my personal experience.

  8. what about the motheboard? the price of it is indeed good.

sorry if i ask to much am not good with picking which motherboard i should get with the intel.

No worries. Are you comfortable with overclocking? These two are both solid boards with great features. Just pick the one you like better in terms of looks/branding etc as they are pretty much the same in function.

*For me personally, I'd just get the MSI board as it looks slightly nicer and is a bit cheaper*

And this PSU is a better choice cause of its modular cables which make cable management A LOT easier and look much nicer, trust me.

  9. That's only 4 cores am looking around top end. it will just bottleneck hard.

    Wut

The 4690k is one of the best CPU's on the market right now for gaming. You could SLI 980 Ti's and barely get a bottleneck. Along with that, barely any games use more than 4 cores at once. Look at benchmarks, even some show the 4690k performing better than the I7-4790k. If you want advice, do some research before you ignore it.

*4690k destroys any AMD FX 8 core*

  10. Haha, it was very optimistic of me I do admit. It ran GTA 4 well, guess I'm super lucky it did that. I am looking at some prebuilt computers, when I find one I want I will definitely post the specs for some advice, thanks so much guys. I'm not confident enough with computers to build my own rig to be honest.

Looking to spend around 1K so if anyone has any recommendations of what the prebuilt should have for that money, or any examples that would be awesome

    thanks again guys!

Like above, building your own PC is the best way. Buying parts and assembling it. It isn't that hard and there are a lot of tutorials on it. Can help you out if you are willing to start :)

  11. How much are you willing to spend? Because GTA V is known to have CPU usage problems with AMD ones and seeing that you have a 980 Ti, you don't want to run into any bottlenecks. I would personally stay away from AMD unless you are on a budget but if you want the performance, Intel is better path. Also the 9000 series of AMD CPU's are really bad. Huge TDP and heatspreading while performance is pretty much the same to an OC FX-8350. In the 300$ish range, you can pick up an Intel 4690k with a decent Z97 board that'll give you amazing gaming performance with the 980 Ti. You'll just max out the game @ 1080P/1440P with 60+FPS no problem. If  you do video editing/rendering or graphical design like adobe and etc, you can move up if you are willing to pay the extra and go for an I7-4770k/I7-4790k. All in all, I would recommend the 4690k and a Z97 mobo if you are just gaming and want the best FPS :)

  12. I found an unmissable bargain, this is my final PC and I doubt I will change it, researched all the parts to fit and everything.

Mods feel free to close the thread.

Looks solid! Easy 60FPS maxed out on games :)

  13. Dual GTX Titan Z I got for graduation

Literally useless. A 980 Ti performs pretty much the same. You just get more VRAM which is er pointless for now unless you wanna play 8k games...

Can you absolutely max everything out ... including MSAA ? and still get 60fps

At 1080/1440P, easy 60FPS yep maxed out with MSAA x2 as there really isn't a point at going past that. Also recommend using a sweetFX mod, I have one the injects SMAA which is the most efficient AA imo. Also what CPU do you have?

Can I see it please? EDIT: I would like to support dual monitors, and maybe even triple later in the time, FYI.

Sorry, was out all day. This computer build will handle literally everything you throw at it. Rendering and gaming, heck both at the same time xD

    http://pcpartpicker.com/p/BbngWZ

Shows all the prices and where to buy at the cheapest website. If you have a microcenter nearby, they always have great deals on parts too. But 1400 bucks for everything you need on the computer and $200 for stuff like mouse/keyboards and etc. I can always make it cheaper by changing around parts but yeah, this will power 2x 1080P screens no problem and games maxed with 60FPS. Also in the future, if you wanna go higher res or more screens, the board is 3 way SLI capable so throw in another Graphics card and it'll be perfect :)

  15. Lemme guess, you are buying a pre built computer? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEE don't do that. For 1600 bucks, you can buy your own parts and build your own PC that perform MUCH MUCH better. Those specs might get you high with 50-60FPS as that GPU is weak at that price point. If you are willing to put in the effort and learn how to assemble a PC, I can teach you how to start and step by step info if you want. Don't worry, it isn't hard to do, just need to learn it.

Also to put in a real life example between buying that and building your own.

    Your pre-built=GTA V @high with 50-60ish FPS.

Building yourself=GTA V Maxed out with an easy 60+ FPS.

Price=Same and also building it yourself makes it look a lot nice and clean :)

  16. I have the 960, and I can't seem to get it to stop crashing. No mods, and the launcher log isn't much help either, have you ran into any problems like that? I'm hoping my drivers are just bugged, will do a reinstall of the drivers later, but figured I'd ask.

I personally would try to find an Intel processor, from what I've read and experienced, a similar speed (3.5ghz for example) runs games better when it's intel vs the AMD. Though AMD is definitely the cheaper option. I recently got an Intel i5, and am much happier with it than my AMD I had before.

    --Edit--
