  1. Tell us how it goes! Also, could you tell me if this motherboard can go with this case? The specs say it can but the images make it look like it won't fit. Thanks! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811154109 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131835
  2. Thanks!
  3. Here is my first helicopter pursuit. I would really appreciate some suggestions on how I can make the next one better. I couldn't think of anything other than to just follow the suspect in a helicopter. Thanks!
  4. Nope. That won't work. I play on my Mac but I have a desktop.
  5. Try using Boot Camp to run Windows on your Mac. That should work if you Mac has good specs. Please list them and we can see if you can run the game.
  6. Thanks for that extremely detailed response! I see what you mean. I'm not desperately strapped for cash, just the more expensive the machine is, the longer it will be before I have the extra greenbacks to buy one with. Thanks again! Intel it is. Here is a separate question: How important is a separate sound card? This is the motherboard - ASUS P8B75-V LGA 1155 Intel B75 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard MODERATOR NOTICE Posts merged.
  7. We want to play LCPDFR with the missions as additional callouts.
  8. Thanks! It seems like to me that people buy Intel just because it says Intel on it. Why can I get a 6 core 4.0 GHz AMD CPU for half the price of a lesser Intel that I can't overclock? What drives people to Intel?
  9. How is it? Which AMD CPU do you have? Is it fast? Thanks.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=yXp4-dpXyaM The LCPD responds to a shootout. This "film" would have been longer if it was not so hard to make. Enjoy!
  11. What about this? - GIGABYTE GV-N650OC-2GI GeForce GTX 650 2GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card I am really starting to push it with the price though. I don't mind since I'll like the end result more.
  12. After looking at the options, that looks like the best way to go. It's more expensive, I'll just have to wait longer for some more paychecks. I updated the list to reflect the change. How does that look? Will everything go together? Am I missing anything? Thanks for the help!
  13. Hmmm. I'll take a look. Do you know of a good, fast Intel CPU capable of running let's say GTA IV, or Battlefield 3 at Max Settings that won't break the bank? I can live without overclocking as long as it's fast enough.
  14. This - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113287 vs. This - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115233 From the looks of it, most AMD CPUs (including that one) can be overclocked, whereas only certain expensive Intel CPUs can be overclocked, giving more bang for my buck. I am not made of money so if I can cut corners and go AMD and get equal or better performance, I might as well. Some people told me that Intels are more advanced and less power consuming. All I want is for my games to go fast. It seems that Intel is the favorite. Am I missing something?
  15. I am looking to build a PC. From the looks of it, I can get a Quad-core 4.0 GHz AMD CPU for half the price of an entry level Intel CPU. Usually when something looks to good to be true, it is. Please share your wisdom. Also, someone told me that a lot of "software" is not compatible with AMD CPUs. I thought it didn't make a difference. Thanks.
  16. Maybe someone can make a small mod to change the button? Or include this in the next version of LCPDFR (Change the police computer button)?
  17. I made a series of rather cinematic Operation Repo: GTA IV Edition towing videos. Here they are if you are into that kind of thing. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9D570E5C28A09F1F Enjoy!
  18. This week's episode was kind of a let down. I feel the case Lydia got was kind of ambiguous until the end. Also, we never find out what happens during that scene where John carries the kid away from the scene. I know Southland like to leave us hanging but that just felt like more of a mistake than it was meant to happen. Also the camera thing with Sammy kind of feels similar to the safety tip thing from last season. What do you all think?
  19. I was thinking about how pursuits could be made better and I had an idea. I'm not sure if this is an actionable suggestion or not so I did not put it in the suggestions section. Here it is - If you have played single-player in GTA IV then you know there are several missions with car pursuits. The AI in those missions is always an extraordinary driver that almost cannot be stopped until the game decides it's time for them to stop. (Think of the final mission where you have to follow those guys to the Old Casino in Alderney, they were flying down the highway.) Is there a way to port the "script" if there is one that makes the AI drive so brilliantly to evade you in single player to LCPDFR? Right now the AI just kind of drives into a mailbox and surrenders when you press SHIFT. Pursuits would be amazing that way.
  20. I kinda knew what was going to happen...
