  6. I'm enjoying LSPDFR 0.4 so far. Grabbing peds works wonders and I love the fact I can even take them up ladders, though something looks a little strange 😛 I actually happen to think this feature is all the more fun.

  8. I'm not sure I see the connection 🤔. Though I see you joined this site on July 8, 2017... the day before Courtney Love's 53rd birthday. If you take the age Curt Cobain was when he died (27) and add the current age of his daughter, Frances Bean Cobain (26) what does it come to? 53. Just you think about that, while you're waiting for 0.4 to release.

  14. Excellent. I'll add this to my crackpot conspiracy theory board 😛

  18. If the release is expedited by one day per every cat life saved, then we only have to save 14 cats' lives and the release would have to be tomorrow. Save 16 cats and the 0.4 release is already one day late 😛
  19. If we go around saving cats (presumably stuck up trees; this is LSPDFR after all 😉), does that bring the 0.4 release one day closer for every cat life saved? 😏

  21. As long as someone is enjoying themselves 🙂
  22. Given that 0.4 has not yet been released, I don't quite see why there's a fuss about the latest GTA V update and LSPDFR. I'm sure LSPDFR 0.4, when it is released this month, will be equipped to run the then-latest GTA V and RPH. ScriptHook will almost certainly be updated too, at some point. If you're trying mods now and your game has updated, that's a different matter. But I, for one, am happy with a clean and up to date GTA V until 0.4 releases 🙂
  23. ScriptHookV is a separate script loader and not something previously part of LSPDFR. There are quite a few LSPDFR community mods that use it, however. I suspect when 0.4 launches we'll be using only stock LSPDFR for a little while anyway, while developers begin to update their plugins. This should provide some time for other things (like ScriptHookV) to be updated. Don't forget there is a planned LSPDFR 0.4.1 as well, which would introduce an extended API and possible bug fixes. Time heals all wounds. 😉
  24. Big flashing neon sign in the header? Public service announcement? On the news and radio? A fireworks event, perhaps? You have me curious 😛

  27. Why not try and just clean your existing installation? 1) Run the LSPDFR uninstaller. 2) Delete any Rage and LSPDFR files and directories. 3) Compare your GTAV directory to a fresh install (you can Google this for screenshots of what a clean install looks like) and delete any non-default files or directories. 4) Run GTAVLauncher with the -verify flag, or for the Steam version run the verify game files option from Steam. This will verify your GTAV game files, and download and replace any modified ones with their originals. This is actually pretty straightforward to do, and is a breeze compared to the hassle of downloading and reinstalling the whole game again.
  28. Only 50 minutes remaining... until all the posts start coming in saying "It's February. Where's 0.4?" 😛 I suspect it won't be quite so soon as today/tomorrow, but I'd also love to be wrong.
  29. Good point. That gives Sam an additional 3 hours and 27 minutes to perfect the release! 😛 Then again, it could be released at 23:59 on 28th February and that would also count.

  31. Is there any way to specify vehicle cleanliness? Backup vehicles turn up with varying degrees of dirt. It would be nice if vehicles turning up in La Mesa were more likely to be dirty, while cars responding in Vinewood more likely to be sparkling clean.
  32. We had better hope not, because then it would never be released. It's impossible to contain people's curiosity. People will continue to ask, whether or not it's curteous to the developers and regardless of whether other users can actually answer the question. I imagine the repeated visits are increasing the site's advertising revenue anyway, so there is an upside.

  34. That would depend upon people's expectations, but people's expectations can be more carefully managed by providing more generic release information. I think there's a difference between a target release date (for when the devs are hoping to be able to release it) and an actual release date. I wouldn't have thought it would be too difficult to give some rough indication of when version 0.3 is aimed to be released by, e.g. "hoping to release by early November", or even "hoping to release some time before Christmas", or "hoping to release some time between late October and mid November". An indication is just that, it's not a guarantee or even a promise. Confirmation that 0.3 is aimed to be released before the start of 2016 would be more information than anyone currently has. If the devs thought it might take until next August to get everything working perfectly in 0.3, then I'd still prefer that they take their time. But if that were the prognosis, I'd also prefer to know. I can handle the truth without breaking out in to tears. This "it'll be released when it's released" trope suggests that people's curiosity is somehow irrational or unreasonable. It isn't.
