  1. Not bad, although I am not that fond of your lighting settings. It's a bit too bright for me.
  2. Laptops aren't really built to play high-end games. If you can't play GTA IV on high settings I wouldn't bother trying ENB My advice would be to wait for your gaming pc to arrive
  3. No problem!
  4. Nice, you really bought it Well, arma II is the most mod friendly. I myself have OA and most of the mods like the vietnam mod require arma II as well. As Aussiemerc said, the Ace mod is a very good one. Just take a look at armaholic.com
  5. Thanks. Glad it could be somewhat helpfull after all. Guess I'll have to look through the forums more carefully before posting something.
  6. My bad. It is indeed different in the sence that Break uses a media player instead of the web player. Anyway, sorry for not having noticed Break's topic. Was only trying to help.
  7. Well, I always play LCPDFR like this so I thought, why not suggest this to everyone. http://www.radioreference.com/apps/audio/ This site lets you listen to live police scanner feeds of the entire United States and some other European countries. This includes police scanners, EMS scanners and fire department scanners. I myself listen to the live feed of the NYPD manhattan area since GTA IV is located in a New York based environment. It really enhances the feeling of realism since you are listening to live callouts and events that happen at that time. Just go to the site, pick your state, county, city,... (the choices is just endless!) and let the window open while you are playing LCPDFR. Hope I could be of any help for people who want a bit more realism ;-)
  8. First of all, what I did was replace my Asi loader. I have ELS v6 and I was having crashes almost every time when i turned my lights on. Then I was using dsound asi loader. Now what I did was replace the dsound with just xliveless. Since then I have had far less crashes. I know it takes away the online aspect of the game but it greatly reduced the amount of crashes. Now I get the occasional crash but that's normal when having a lot of mods and ELS. Second, as Break said it is best to have a police.wtd or police2.wtd non-ELS. I myself use modded cars for al my police vehicles but police.wtd is a non-ELS car. This indeed greatly reduces chances of random crashes as a non-ELS car is far less demanding to spawn than a ELS car. Hope this helps for you.
  9. So true...Well, it was said in the news that they can raise the sentence to 30 years if he gets convicted for crimes against humanities but again like you said and calculated, that's just way too short. Glad you posted this article. It really shows that maybe a lot of victims could have been saved...
  10. So true. There are three countries in europe where regular police officers don't have guns. Norway, Iceland and the UK. In Norway, they're only allowed to carry guns with a special permission of the chief of police. Makes you wonder. Had the police officer at the island been carrying a gun, would he not have had the chance to shoot him, saving a lot of lives?
  11. Look at this and I think you know what I'm saying. Again, sorry for the double post but there's something wrong with the edit button.
  12. I agree. He knew what he was doing and he damn well knew that he was facing 30 years max because of the laws in Norway. Now they have to protect him and keep him safe, fearing that some vigilante will shoot him. Has to be terrible for the families to just watch and see him smiling in court. I hope it gets clear in Norway that regular police officers also need guns.
  13. Btw, LC cops should be lucky to have you seeing how many cops you saved from being obliterated by exploding cars :p Sorry for the double post, for some reason I couldn't edit my post anymore.
  14. Very nice. It does indeed improve the videos. The Aussie accent fits the videos just right ;-)

  20. The PIT maneuver in the first minute of the first video is just epic :p
  21. You nailed it there. That's exactly what you're taught at the university. At least I was. Sadly enough, in Belgium it's even worse when it comes to respect for police officers. Due to lack of good selection criteria we end up with a lot of officers of the first kind like you said. As 1Adam3 said, you have to take charge as a police officer, as a lot of people will not respect you or will not be as understanding as you. At least that's the case in belgium ;-)
