Operation neptune spear
Just watched this touching video from the same creator of "backtrack", the one that Jetliner posted( http://www.lcpdfr.com/cops/forum/index.php/topic/1584-backtrack/), and thought I should share it. This is a trailer for an Arma based movie about operation neptune spear, the killing of Osama Bin Laden. The video is very touching. The first minute has got to be the worst nightmare for a dispatcher... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbzXbcQBx2Y

From the album: kjel0112 pictures
Deputy Kjel0112 of the LCSO DUI division responded to a call in the Westdyke beach area about a person who was waving to passing bystanders on top of a big rock. The deputy, who was first on the scene, called in the LCPD and the LCFD to remove the suspect from the rock. The person was identified as Jefferson Mcguire, a mental patient who recently escaped from Alderney Mental Institute. -
Auxiliary Police
There are a couple of Auxiliary police officers on this forum I believe. However, as LINY said, the job description, use of weapons and status differ from county to county.
-
Auxiliary Police
Auxiliary police are the reserves of the regular police. Most of the time, these are volunteers. They don't have the same jurisdiction as a regular police officer but they do have the right to make some arrests or enforce a certain type of law. Just take a look at wikipedia if you need more information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auxiliary_police

Baton
All three are considered less lethal (OC, baton and taser). However, batons leave much more fysical damage as mentioned before which lead to more police brutality complaints. However, most officers prefer to have all three with them just in case. Both the taser and OC are weapons which can fail to deploy. This is a disadvantage that the old batons don't have. (Although an ASP baton does have to be deployed) Also, batons are still commonly used in riots since the large numbers of offenders can't all be tased or sprayed.

Scripts folder containing LCPD:FR and other scripts
Hi Kate, First of all make sure you have installed the latest .NET scripthook. Second, for EPM to work you have to have a modded car that has moving parts, like a car roof. Here are the install instructions from the Readme file: 1] Install the vehicle mod that uses this script as per readme instructions 2] Place moveDoors.NET.dll and moveDoors.ini in /yourgamedir/scripts/ *2a] Open the moveDoors.ini with Notepad and add the ini lines the vehicle mod came with (ReadMe) 3] Run IV, get in the vehicle that utilizes this script, and with Num Lock ON, press key 8 4] A number will appear in the top left corner of your screen, -write it down- A hash number can be positive and negative, in that case a wild -1234567 number appears, and it uses a minus! So if the hash is negative, do not forget that minus! If the number is positive, there is no minus!** 5] Exit IV or ALT-TAB out, open MoveDoors.ini with Notepad, and edit in the number you wrote down as the ini's FIRST VALUE 6] Save ini, run IV, have fun Hope I could be of any help.

unr3al's LCPD Police Car Skin
For all the people having trouble with importing and exporting unr3al's skin: Here is a link for similar skins. They look almost the same and they include both CVPI, Charger, suburban and Impala versions. Pictures are included. Just import these into vehicles.img and you're done. No exporting or importing of .dds files necessary. For those who want Unr3al's skin: open up sparkIV, go to cdimages, open vehicles.img, backup your original police.wtd and import unr3al's .wtd file, click edit and search for the skin inside the file. The file will have a .dds extention. Export the texture to your desktop and close the edit window without saving. Now import your backup and click edit. Now replace the skin (.dds file) with unr3al's skin which you exported to your desktop. Click save and close. Save and rebuild. You're done. Hope I could be of any help.

Have You Tried This Traffic Fix?
Tried that a couple of days ago and although it does indeed make the traffic more diverse, I didn't see 26 different models at the same time. I still prefer using traffic flow since I saw no difference between the two and with traffic flow you can edit the file to your own liking.

unr3al's LCPD Police Car Skin
Break is saying that you have to open the .wtd file provided by Unr3al and export the texture. The skin of the vehicle is a .dds file. Most of the police cars have 4 liveries: Sign_1.dds, sign_2.dds,... Just open up his wtd file with sparkIV and export the texture itself. After that, you just import the texture into the .wtd file of the car you want.

Same here. Played all the COD's but got tired of all the campers, quickscopers and hacks online. I'm more of a battlefield fan.

F1 2011 Season + Game
I am a F1 fanatic and have always been a Hamilton fan. He is just a supreme driver. It's stupid mistakes that keep him from winning most of the time. Last time in Hunghary, he had the wrong tires put on just at the last pit stop. To answer your questions: 1)Most likely Vettel although it has been shown that all his wins were races where he had pole. The races where he didn't have pole, he didn't perform as good as usual. Eddie Jordan said that Vettel is a good flying lap racer but he doesn't do well when it comes to overtaking. I hope Hamilton and I have a hunch that Alonso will come close as well if he keeps racing the way he does now. 2)I played F1 2010 and also missed a safety car as well as a warm up lap. The tire simulation could be improved as well as the AI and damage system. The KERS and DRS should be fun but only if there is an actual speed difference. If you look at the F1 2011 trailer you can see a safety car sign although it might be just for show. Pause at 1.01 and you can see a yellow flag with the sign "SC". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xjru9m5bN3Q PS: could a moderator delete my previous post? I couldn't edit anymore and the post wasn't complete.

Trailer poll
Most of the time, the trailer graphics aren't representative for the ingame graphics but to make a good trailer is hard work nontheless. You can't just show the whole game and it must be captivating. The star wars trailer is nice but unfortunately it is nothing like the real game. The deus ex trailer is very good. Almost makes you think you're watching a movie. Mass effect is very nice as well. Thanks for the suggestions!

Road blocks?
Well, I've played police pursuit mod some time ago and the stop sticks are already implemented there. If ppm can do it, lcpdfr should definitely be able to do that. It was rather simple and sometimes difficult but fun nonetheless. You could request stop sticks by pushing a button, a countdown began and when it had ended, you could get out of your car and deploy them. That's where the difficult part was. You had to guess where the suspect would drive. Since lcpdfr is much more realistic than ppm, it should definitely be possible. And as far as the roablock goes, I agree with unr3al. It may or may not be used in real life, it would be fun nonetheless.

Good GPU + HDD for 200 Euros?
It may not be high-end but it runs everything perfectly on highest settings. Anyway, I was only making a suggestion, I didn't say that it was the newest model out there.

Good GPU + HDD for 200 Euros?
Well, I have an intel core 2 duo processor and my GPU is an Asus GTS450 1GB DDR5 and it runs GTA IV on highest settings and have had no problems so far. The GPU was 150 euros so you should get there with a 200 euros budget.

Alright, personally I think these two are among the best game trailers ever made. I would like your opinion. Which one do you prefer or do you have even better trailers? Trailer 1: Trailer 2:

How have her?
Sigh...Is it so hard to look for GTA IV modding tutorials on the internet? Alright then, I'll try explaining it. First of all you have to install these cars and siren with a tool called SparkIV. Look it up in google and download it. You open up sparkIV.exe, click on browse and go to models/cdimages. Next you double click on vehicles.img. Now you just import the .wtd and .wtf file of the car you want to replace. For the siren you go to pc/audio/sfx and search for resident.rpf. Double click on it, then click on RESIDENT. Now you just import the new HORNS.ivaud file that you downloaded. Second, you need ELS(Emergency Lighting System) for these cars to work proper. Without it you won't have any siren lighting. You can find ELS on GTApolicemods. Just download it an put the files in your GTA IV folder. There's a readme file included so read that carefully. Last, you will probably want LCPDFR. Just go to the downloads page here on this site, download it and follow all the instructions. Hope this makes it a bit more clear. If all of this was Chinese for you, I'm afraid other people will not be able to help you as well.
