  1. To be fair, their reasons were just.....they just went about it the wrong way. I don't know how many people have read the updated statement regarding Rockstar's plea to Take Two, but in the statement it read that OIV was openly aware that certain parts of OIV were able to be used maliciously. Rockstar in the past has supported mods and cited OIV as the tool to use, so both Rockstar and Take Two were aware of its existence.....it must of been just recent that cheaters/hackers started using OIV for their own gains, or rather cracking the program to do what they wanted with it. I don't think either party meant any harm, I just think Take Two went about it the wrong way and acted out in a blanketed attempt to keep their profits from dying (regardless of how people feel about it, they're still a business and they're there to make money). What I think should of happened is Take Two/ Rockstar should of opened a dialog with the OIV team and see what could of been done to fix the problem. It also goes both ways too, they could of very well given all of us modders the finger and said that our demographic was too small to really warrant a reason to appease us.....they didn't, in fact for a company that has made one of the biggest most profitable games ever, they actually listened and that is something we should reinforce and not have the mentality of "they goofed, so fuck 'em" not many companies out there do that, so rather than having the yee ol' stick up our asses about the whole thing, we should more or less give Take Two/Rockstar a digital handshake and hug it out as a means of mutual respect for either side.
  2. Ahh. I see now. According to everyone who has managed to get their hands on it, the scripthook he released has a bunch of issues with crashing, infinite loading and other oddities. Perhaps this is the reason he took it down.
  3. May be something to do with the fact that Scripthook (AFAIK) doesn't currently work with the latest GTA V update. Unless I am missing something, the scripthook website claims to be only working for the previous GTA V version. Unless, of course, you're referring to the scripthook that has been floating around that isn't the official scripthook by Alexander Blade. If that is the scripthook you're using, that specific one has been reported to have numerous issues.
  4. I can't imagine why installing OpenIV would break anything, as OpenIV only calls on custom models/textures, etc. The safest route to making sure your vanilla GTAV stays intact is having a 'mods' folder, where your vanilla GTAV files are placed in. The true vanilla GTAV files are then unaltered, whereas the copied files into the mods folder can be altered however you want. Screenshots of your GTAV directory would go a long way, though providing the answers to the aforementioned questions I asked in my previous post would help too. I can tell you though, right from the get-go, that your problem isn't to do with LSPDFR/Plugins. Somewhere along the line must of been altered which is causing your game to crash during the populating of the game.
  5. The game is crashing during "Populating Game world" or shortly thereafter. Meaning, the game itself is having issues fully loading. Your log explicitly specifies that there is no mods/plugins running at the time of the crash -- raising attention to the game itself. The game seems to be loading fine up until the point where it's calling for peds and vehicles. I'm assuming you're running the game in administrator, as well as all the launchers, like Social club. I'm assuming you're running Ragehook launcher in admin too? Do you use the mod folder equivalent of installing car mods, texture mods, etc? Lastly, does the game function normally and work properly when not launching with RageHook? Can you successfully make it into the story mode?
  6. Interesting how convenient for this particular argument that one of your relatives happens to have the Vehicle in question, in real life. Must be a big coincidence, though I highly doubt that is the case. These sort of "my X,Y,Z family members has/owns this" arguments/responses are dime a dozen on the internet where the weak minded and stricken immaturity exist only to try and prove something. How does that saying go again? Oh yeah, maturity doesn't come with age. Seems to be the case with you, assuming you actually have a drivers license and are of age. You probably should of stopped when you realized you were wrong, clearly being told that Thehurk upscale's his vehicles based on the ones in-game seem to have completely blown over your head and your "I'm right, you're wrong" mentality.
  7. Ah. Yes, car mods or in-game altering mods like character models, stuff that spawns in the world when the game is trying to load will always crash the game BEFORE the plugins get a chance to load -- provided that the installation of those mods were installed incorrectly. The best way to circumvent this is having all of your mods processed through the 'mods' folder option that OpenIV uses. This way if the game starts crashing randomly you can narrow down the problem mod by just removing the OpenIV needed plugins to run, this will load vanilla GTA V (also best used when you're wanting to play Online). Anyhoo, update us when you get everything squared away and working.
  8. Ah. I might of misread the OP. I thought he said ELS worked, but only certain parts of it. This is true though, ELS, much like in GTAIV in its infancy had a lot of issues to be ironed out. Though it's a lot more polished and well rounded in GTAV, but every mod has its hiccups, even the best of them.
  9. Odd. I'm wondering if it's vehicle specific, all of my ELS cars currently installed are 100% functioning as they should be, no issues. Though prior to this, I had a 'Sheriff pack' installed of which all but 1 of the vehicles had the blacked out lightbar effect that you guys are experiencing. While the above "fix" I stated did work for me on a previous ELS Police pack, the way I do it now is through the simple native trainer by disabling the actual car tint. (Granted this way doesn't fix the AI ELS vehicles), so it's annoying either way you cut it. Thinking it's a combination of ELS and the vehicles themselves, though like I said I've had success with a lot of different ELS vehicles without the issues pertaining above.
  10. Could you also provide screenshots of the colors too? The lightbar and other lights, as well as post screenshots of different cars that are doing this.
  11. I think your guys' problem is due to the tinting effect of ELS vehicles, which is random it seems. If ELS is functioning normally outside of the light issue itself, then this seems like the aforementioned tinting problem, where the tint blankets the lights/lightbar and other areas of the vehicle. A good indication that it is the tint is that the rear/front headlight/taillights will work, but the rest either seem abnormally dim or just don't function at all. To fix this go into OpenIV, all the way to update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5, find the vehicles.meta file and extract that to your desktop so you can edit it and don't forget to obviously put it back once you're done editing it. Once you do this, open it with notepad, find the vehicle you're experiencing the problem with and edit the following value "<diffuseTint value" once you find that, edit it to look like this: <diffuseTint value="0x00FFFFFF" /> It seems ELS is very finicky with certain car models, a lot of car modelers also have included the above .meta fix in their mods. Though, if you decide to use the provided .meta fix from a mod, it will replace your current .meta file which means if you have multiple vehicles suffering from this problem, you'll lose your work -- so editing the.meta file yourself is the best bet. Hopefully this helps those who are experiencing this issue.
  12. To add onto the taxi issue, there is a mod on here that fixes that. It's literally called "Ultimate Taxi ad fix" some visual mod overhauls also come with a taxi ad fix, like the mod 'Make Visuals great again' which I personally use over any other visual mod mixed with custom visualsettings.dat.
  13. Make sure to have post fx and shader quality on high or above, not doing so can cause different side effects.
  14. Yeah, that isn't an ELS vehicle, so that is probably your biggest concern right now. Any vehicle that does not explicitly state that it's an ELS vehicle somewhere or doesn't have ELS in the title more than likely isn't an ELS vehicle. Also, graphic mods aside, make sure to have your post fx quality at high or above, same with shader quality. Both of these have a considerable effect on overall lighting quality.
  15. Can you post system specs? I'm going to assume since you're a streamer that you more than likely have a pretty overkill computer to run GTA V + Twitch. That said, there is always possible system conflicts. Any additional details during the time of the crash would be helpful too, was there any background processes? Any other 3rd party devices like controllers, racing wheels, etc, etc. Try running RageHook as administrator too, as well as all of the .exe's (including Social club). Make sure to obviously have all of the necessary scripthooks and files associated. I'm also assuming you're just trying to start the game with just LSPDFR and no other mods/plugins. Are you using any car mods? Graphic altering mods like RadianceV or VisualV? I ask because the crash log you provided states that it is crashing long before its even able to process any plugins/mods. This then alludes to the idea that you either have a car mod or other conflicting mod that is preventing the game from loading past the crash threshold. Are you booting the Ragehook with all of the plugins/mods loaded prior to getting in-game? If so, disable that option in the settings of Ragehook. IF not, do the opposite and try and have them load prior to getting in-game. Stupid question, but there have been people who have done this without knowing. Have you played past the first introductory missions of GTA V for the story mode? Not playing the introductory missions of the story mode or not playing the story mode at all can cause crashes. Some people suggest playing every character's introduction mission, other's suggest you only really need to do Franklin's. Personally, I'd do the former of the two and play all of the character's first story missions, this ensures that no conflicts can occur from lack of overall progression of the map since every character has their own part of the map.
  16. There's no need to be that rude or critical even if he had the experience. I'd like to think that this community is very respectful and equally constructive when it comes to these sort of mods. Meaning beginner mod creators can release their work without being completely trashed at every possible avenue by the veteran mod creators and learn along the way. Somewhere along those lines this guy managed to stray from that path and decided to be disrespectful regardless of his experience or lack thereof. Hopefully the bad ratings and equally bad reviews/comments will put this kid in his place and put a bit of humble into him, otherwise this community just isn't big enough for the disrespectful to flourish.
  17. This is pretty well, god awful. I'm genuinely curious as to what work you actually did on the vehicle besides cramming as many lights onto the poor vehicle as possible. I mean you literally took a base model and slapped as many lights as you could onto it. Everything about the model is stock, as if you spent 5 minutes in Zmodeler and said "perfect", sorry but no. Also, what is with that disclaimer? There is absolutely nothing about this that is realistic, this vehicle has more lights on it than my Christmas tree did. What makes it worse is that (and others have stated this already) you have some nerve to put down other modders' work. You've put down and cherrypicked nearly every one of MrPotato's vehicles, despite being vastly superior to yours (the ratings prove this) and you've put down VEKTR0's skins despite (A) VEKTR0's skins are either satire OR scratched made with actual work put into them and (B), you blatantly rip your skins from other people for example mroxplay and call them your own. Let's also not forget that you allegedly "forgot" to lock the Tahoe model you did, despite being told to do so -- so god only knows if you even have permission to use this at all. I think you need to quit spending so much time digging and jabbing other modders' work and spend some more time learning how to actually mod. All of the aforementioned stuff would be forgivable if it weren't for the fact that you insistently go onto other peoples work and blatantly dig and jab their mod(s). Hopefully you spend more time learning from the actual modelers out there like MrPotato, Him1250, TWISTEDSCOPES, Windows446, SgtGoetz, thegreathah and many others out there rather than nitpicking, digging, jabbing and overall being snide at every possible avenue.
  18. I never quite understood the reasoning behind why people are against multiple choice. It's like people who complain about there being "too many" of a specific Police car - I.E the Crown Victoria for example. Multiple choice is good, certain people like different things and offering that type of selection also creates a healthy community. Some people just don't get that though it seems. Also Kompetenzz, there are a vast majority of visual mods out there. Are you, of all people, really going to complain given that your visual mod(s) is "just another visual mod" for people to pick and choose from. There's tons of visual mods...
  19. Sad news reported that Carrie Fisher, iconic Star Wars character Princess Leia dies at the age of 60 due to a Heart attack on Friday, December 23rd. She was on a flight from London to Los Angeles when she went into Cardiac arrest. Paramedics removed her from the flight and treated her at the Hospital where she was later pronounced dead later that morning. Not sure how many people here are Star Wars fans, but this is sad news nevertheless. The year of 2016 has been a rather troublesome year for celebrity deaths, hopefully 2017 turns out to be the opposite of the tragedies that have occurred. For those interested in the new Star Wars film, reports say that Carrie Fisher managed to do the remainder of the film, meaning there should be no issue with the new Star Wars coming out in 2017. Rest in peace Carrie Fisher and may the force be with you. Link to the article reporting her death: http://people.com/movies/carrie-fisher-dies/
  20. I would try a few things before immediately coming to the grand conclusion that you're SOL. First and foremost, I would try each Callout pack/mod on its own and see how much it degrades performance. Degrading performance can occur because a certain mod isn't optimized properly, whether it's unoptimized code, or a potential problem with a feature within the mod itself. That said, it may be worth trying something like CPU Unpark. It unparks your dormant cores and then applications can take full use of them. Other little things like running literally everything possible in administration can help, also sifting through certain DLL's and seeing if any of them are "blocked" and then unblocking them can also be a culprit too. Checking off certain things to make sure your game is running optimal, especially with mods is one of those things some people have to do to get the most out of GTA. Hopefully a resolution can come out of this for you though.
  21. People blaming their improper installations and setup on Rockstar still? Things never change I see. Think real clear for a second, in fact take a good long while to think. Now, do you honestly think that if Rockstar purposely went out of their way to hinder mods that this entire site wouldn't blow up with threads and statements that Rockstar has done something to prevent modding?
  22. No, unfortunately not. Riots are now pretty common, cities are having to rebuild their infrastructure and thousands upon thousands of dollars are spent on a rebuilding process that never should of happened from the get go. Welcome to the new age, goodluck raising your children in this mess. I think everyone would probably live a more comfortable life if they just accepted that racism is a thing and that it won't really ever die. It's been a thing since the beginning of Human existence, it stems from that web of bs exclaiming you're better than someone else. It's like Religion in that sense too, people are asinine if they think everyone will be able to live peacefully without the mentality of "my religion is better than yours" like a kid who claims their shiny new toy is better and rubs it in your face. There are a lot of things in life that will never have a peaceful resolution throughout, racism, religion, to name a couple, hell even bullying. Why? Because we're human and humans, well, they're assholes. It unfortunately is escalating because now we have a key component fueling the fire, the Media/Internet.....and people always believe the stuff the News shovels onto their plate.
  23. Blue Lives Matter is an actual group? What the hell. Although in their SLIGHT bit of defense, any company be it large or small should more than likely steer clear of affiliating themselves with anything this controversial. Ben and Jerry's just painted a big red target on their employee's backs with this one, especially for employee's that don't support BLM or anyone for that matter.
  24. I'll just leave this here: What I don't get is where people seem to think that every Officer that has shot a black man woke up one day and decided to say "Hm, today I shall kill THIS guy in particular" or in general black people seem to have this idea that every Cop has a personal goal to kill people with darker skin than them. Although what is interesting is that when a black Police officer kills another black man, the outcry remains the same and it's still "racist" in their own delusional world. Not a single moment did any of them consider that gee, the man that was shot was a real piece of work that more or less got what was coming to him. Another thing is that all these BLM people seem to have a very hypocritical stance on their very own propaganda. "Not every black man/woman are the same, one person cannot defy an entire race" That is great and all, but then the very same people turn around and pin EVERY cop to be a racist pig that has a personal vendetta to wipe a race from the Earth. This asinine thought process is highlighted in the above video, completely disgusting. So let's sum up the BLM movement: Every cop is a racist pig, be it White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, whatever. Every cop is "the same" as the next. Every "white" man is equally bad, this means Joe Blow from Idaho just walking his dog deserves a beating of a life time (again, highlighted in a video posted prior in this thread). Every black man shot means every black person deserves to burn their city to the ground, riots are now considered "get together's" by these people. But WAIT!! Do you hear that? That is the sound of someone saying "But, there is peaceful protests and the actions of those rioting doesn't define BLM as a whole" That's all swell, but uh.....it's funny how the BLM movement NEVER condemns these people, the very same people that BLM are apparently trying to protect against all these white people (be it cop or not) killing them or "oppressing" them. That's another thing, oppression. That's a funny word, isn't it? It's not funny in the funny "Ha Ha" way but in a way that highlights a very peculiar set of events that transpired the word to be commonly used the way it is nowadays. It's funny because all of these people screaming "Racism! Racism by the white man!" But interestingly enough, don't ever highlight the fact that their own people back in the day sold them as slaves to the white man. Oh well, it's just easier to sweep facts under the already preexisting dirty rug in favor of burning down your local Mom 'n' Pop shop anyways. I mean, facts have left the building long, long, long ago anyways. Lastly, to whoever said "there's no outcry when a white man kills a cop" You're intolerably ignorant. If you honestly believe that people in general (prior to the BLM agenda rising), didn't look down upon those killing cops, then you're selectively remembering things you want to remember. The only difference between now and then that sparks #bluelivesmatter is that the amount of cops' being killed now vs. then is that cop killings are happening much more frequently, on a much, much greater scale too. We didn't have someone picking off cops from football fields away with a sniper rifle like it's a duck-hunt years and years ago, things we never, ever thought would happen then, are happening now.
