I admit that I wasn't thinking when I made my first post. Even though roadblocks are effective most of the time, whenever suspects won't stop, it creates an incredibly dangerous situation that could cost civillian lives, why roadblocks are almost never used. A few years ago when I was passing through St. Louis, we were on the main highway(Don't know the name of it) across the MIssissippi, when the Police started closing off exits for a chase. Traffic became bumper to bumper at a dead standstill for 2-3 miles, when a crazed mother-****** flies past us doing at least 110 on the shoulder (my car was in the outer lane, 2-3 feet from the guy) with 2 police cars right behind him. Its a miracle that no one was hit during that chase, and shows how dangerous that roadblocks can be for the public. Also, when I said not needed, I meant that we are already getting a whole new pursuit system, which includes nearly every police car, and it should work well enough to apprehend suspects, plus I would rather have G17 focus on the other features, and maybe add this in a patch so .95 can be released sooner.

Its not needed, plus its almost never used in real life because it creates too much danger for the officers at the road block and civillians stopped because of it if the suspect refuses to stop.
  3. There are good cops and bad cops. Good cops only use tazers when there is a sufficent threat, bad cops use them all the time.
  4. Are you going to put the update you made on the GPM site on this website?
  5. Try replaceing the scripthook files with the ones from ELS.
  6. It may be possible with the new advanced hook, but until then, just turn the sirens on until he pulls over, then start a traffic stop.

    Thanks

Well how did you get him to drive to the crime scene? :)
  9. c13 replied to Olanov's topic in Media
Yeah, I got shot in the head while my car became a giant bullet hole. What did you use to get the cop car to follow you at the beginning?

Any of you tried doing this mission on Hardcore mode? Its hard and frustrating, but its pretty fun once you beat it.

Thanks, any idea if any of this is possible?
  12. Isn't there a pinned topic posted a few days ago saying no more callout suggestions?
  13. I know it is probably a bit too late for this version, but heres my suggestions for pursuits: -Noose should come in FIB Buffalo or Noose Cruiser -Suspects should know what type of car their driving and use it to their advantage. A suspect in an infernus should stick to highways while a suspect in a crappy car should try to stick to the side streets. -If in a residential area, some suspects should try to bail out, and maybe jump over fences with backup that is smart enough to do that also. -Possibly give some people that choose to bail out a gun, and they can do one of the following: jump out and start shooting, run and eventually start shooting, or just not shoot and drop the gun along the way. -Make some passengers bail out after the driver slows down enough in a residential area, and somehow make it so that one or two units will stay behind and arrest them. Other suggestions: -Traffic light at intersections ahead of you will turn green giving you the right of way, ending retarded AI stopping in the middle of the street. -Cops not spawning at all unless called for backup. This should end units responding or joining a pursuit without lights. Hopefully some of these are possible with the advanced hook features Sam talked about. Thanks for reading this and considering these. I'll be updating this when I think of more.

Liberty is based on New York City, with the NYPD having an average response time of 4.5 minutes. Even though the distance is accurate for LCPDFR, calls should be further away because NYPD response is hendered by large amounts of traffic, which some people's PCs wont be able to play GTA 4 smoothly with that many cars on screen. A distance increase of about 2-3x as far would make a more realistic response time.

By pursuit trained officers, do you mean they drive better and don't give up half way through a chase, or do they just not shoot the guy at the end of the chase?

My idea from the original post was to make the weapons cops have customizeable, so you could choose which ones they have and which ones they wont. EnterName could choose to have cops with m4s, pistols, and shotguns, while you could choose to have cops with shotguns and pistols. Also, almost every PD in the US now has at least a few patrol officers with AR-15s because of cases like the North Hollywood Shootout, and theres a lot of departments with AR-15s on standard issue with one in every patrol car. My idea would be to have them like vanilla noose, where out of every so many officers, a certain percent would carry one of the weapons you selected..

The feature in the video was only in .9. It would call for a heli if you were on foot with noose officers that would fire RPG's at the suspects.
  18. Any chance of bringing this back? Maybe not .95, but what about Future versions?

Unfortunately, a spotlight isn't possible within GTA. If a script was made for it, then the position of the light would almost never be right because of the different cars. It would be too low on a suburban and too high on a cvpi, with no way to adjust it. The closest thing to this would be the takedown lights in ELS, but for more realism, they could include a spotlight that looks like its pointing at something instead of just being there to operate with the takedown lights, but it wouldn't be moveable.
  20. I think everytime someone post threads asking for a feature list or a release date, the devs should wait another day for the release.
  21. In real life, CPR in the field is almost never successful, maybe only make it work 20% of the time so people call ambulances for more than just looks.

What I mean by the NOOSE being bugged is that its like in .90a when pursuit backup wouldn't work, and they would jump out after a couple of seconds, except they stop their car when they see the suspect. Any partners you have that are NOOSE will jump out too, and this wasn't an issue in previous versions.
  23. One thing I find annoying is that whenever I am trying to get back to my squad car, my character always goes to a taxi, and you can't change anything until you get in the back. Pretty much I want the taxi feature disabled when LCPDFR is on. Also, I know this is more of a bug than a suggestion, but there is no issues forum. Whenever Noose is called in a pursuit, they get out of their car and start shooting instead of chasing after the guy. Also, if your playing as a noose guy with partners, they do the same in a pursuit. Thanks for changing/fixing what I've said.
  24. Try choosing to install xlive instead of scripthook.
  25. I use the traffic fix which is here. All it does is spawn traffic instead of replacing taxis, so you don't end a chase because the guy went off screen and got deleted. Also, traffic flow seems to replace taxis with one car at a time, so all you see for a bit is landstalkers, then another car, and so on.
