  1. Looks like that's what I'll be doing then. It'll probably be around 4-5 parts and it will start with a model off the web because there's already documentation for rippers to get the car out of another game. I'll post a link to the topic in here and tag whoever wants too be tagged once it's up :)
  2. I'd agree with Lundy on this one. Converting is quite a bit of work even if you know your way around zModeler (And if you don't it would be very hard). I had to teach myself how and that took some time. Although I'm thinking about making a video tutorial series about converting a car step by step and even making a template for it. Tell me if you're interested and I'd be more motivated to do so.
  3. EDIT: Wow just noticed I linked a guy to his own file... my bad
  4. Fixed! Thread can be closed now.
  5. So I'm in the final stages of converting a car over from Mafia II. However, in-game it seems like the shaders are messed up or something. (Video for reference) I've tried everything I can think of so I'm hoping that someone knows the fix. I've remapped the wheels multiple times and I've made sure that the material shader is set to 'tire' This has happened to me once before when I was changing tires on a truck but I couldn't fix it then either. Any help would be appreciated and I can supply more info if needed.
  6. My guess is that some of your dummies aren't where they're supposed too be. The wheel dummies must be in the center of the tire in every viewpoint.
  7. So far so good. I think the actual model has been fully textured and everything seems to be working fine except the wheels (not sure the problem) and the collision models (just have to tweak them). In the video you can see the basic police light (hopefully I'll be able to make a better one), and you can see the wheel problem. If anyone knows how to fix the issue, that would be great. (Also have to fix it so that bullet holes and such show up)
  8. Haha nah I think 1950s is old enough for me.
  9. Sooo, I got the tires working and got a basic rotating light working. The light is bound to get better and now I just have to actually map all the textures. Luckily the rest of the cars will take much less time since I know what to do now. Also, I'm looking for anyone interested in possibly beta testing because I'll probably miss something. PS: Don't mind the low quality, I just run the game on low.
  10. I'd suggest tweaking the brake light color a bit, too me they look kinda pink but besides that it looks good. What kind of light bar is that? Looks like a rotating one but doesn't light up like one.
  11. So after creating the car backwards (Yes, completely backwards), I finally got the model in-game with minimal errors. Don't mind the textures, they haven't actually been mapped yet. However, the wheels rotate around the car but I checked the dummies and collision models and they're fine.. so anyone know why this would happen?
  12. The bus template is now included in the download, located in the 'Liveries' folder. It's not a perfect template but it's my first and it works well enough to make skins. I'd recommend overlaying the skins already made for added help if you plan on making similar designs or lines :)
  13. Yes I do and I'll be releasing it later today.
  14. Oooooo I like ;)
  15. Thanks ineseri, I guess this is how you notify someone @lcpdUnit22
  16. Besides quoting, I have no clue how to tag users.
  17. I never knew how much I liked vintage police cars until I found some. I am in the process of converting a few law enforcement vehicles from Mafia II. 1940s Culver Empire Police Special - http://mafiagame.wikia.com/wiki/Culver_Empire_Police_Special 1950s Smith Custom 200 Police Special - http://mafiagame.wikia.com/wiki/Smith_Custom_200_Police_Special And possibly the Armored Truck and Police Bus - http://mafiagame.wikia.com/wiki/Police_Bus And maaaybe I'll do a few civilian cars like the limo and some nice ones but I'm really not sure yet, I'd be more inclined if people wanted them. Here's the Smith Custom 200 at the moment: Also, if anyone could give me some tips about ELS Rotating lights, that would be a huge help. I've never used them and there isn't too much documentation that I could find. I know normal ELS, I just don't know how to set up the Hierarchy for rotors and such.
  18. A little more details? Maybe a reference picture if it's based off of a real police department?
  19. Thanks! If you have any suggestions I'm more than happy to hear any to make it even better. There's also a City Bus mod out there which you can preform a bus route which is pretty neat.

Over the course of about two weeks, I took the vanilla Bus and modified it to be better. Pretty simply but there were some challenges. Main Features: Over 10 different lightboard options! All using real in-game street names and locations. Much better interior (New seats, flooring is no longer a black void, and seat placement). Newer electronic farebox and computer. Sleeker body (No more useless bump on top). Full UV Mapping (Texture editing made possible, and easy). Multiple liveries with different bus numbers and plate numbers Two other generic bus textures included. Bus Template included (You can make your own bus textures now!) Short video showing off the bus, disregard the low quality, I have a pretty bad graphics card. Refer to the screenshots for quality pictures. Comments and feedback are very welcome, good or bad. Please report any bugs in the comments section or send me a PM on here.
  20. I make all kinds of skins if I have time and someone requests one, and it's for GTA IV.
  21. Are you using 'Attach' to connect the hubcap to the wheel?
  22. I have a fairly accurate NH State Trooper Charger and Tahoe, I never released them but I might release them soon.
  23. Just made the first version of the farebox and computer. I'm not super good at making things like this and I still want to keep it kinda low-poly so I'm not sure what I'll do to improve it. Any suggestions are very welcome. The textures for it came out pretty good though.
