  1. Very nice trailer. This will probably make me pick up the multiplayer again after almost a year. The mini-missions and races just couldn't keep me motivated so far...
  2. Now, this post from R* newswire is a month old already, but since I couldn't find any topic on it, I decided to open a new one on it anyway. The post I am referring to is titled GTA Online Spring Updates. And while most of it goes on about Online, at the end there is one interesting sentence: Now it's not big news, really. Since any R* game in the last years got SP DLC, it was kinda obvious they wouldn't stop that on their best selling game. But, finally, there is a timeframe for when to expext details on that DLC. However, while "later this year" doesn't have to be December, I doubt it'll be within the next 2-3 months. What do you guys think?
  3. Well, googling it brought up a tutorial on how to do the change from xbox.com with no mention whatsoever of losing any DLC, so I'm guessing that's kind of a confirmation that it will work flawlessly. I just figured by the time I've finished typing a mail to MS asking them to specify, I'd have gotten a bunch of answers here already^^ Also, the support hotline is closed on weekends... That's what I thought as well. Thanks guys.
  4. Hello everybody, does anybody know if changing the Microsoft account that is connected your Gamertag will affect your bought DLCs etc.? I.e., will you still be able to use or redownload them? I actually do trust MS to make it work without a problem, but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask beforehand. Thanks in advance.
  5. You should take a look at Bastion. Awesome story, art design and soundtrack. It's not the longest game, but I enjoyed it quite a lot. I don't know the price in Dollars, but I guess it'll be somewhere between 15 and 20$. You play as "kid", who has survived a catastrophy called the "calamity" that kind of tore the game's world into pieces. Your aim is to find other survivors and build the so-called Bastion, which is an emergency base that was planned for events like these. What makes the story really interesting is the fact that it is narrated while you play it, with the narrator commenting on most of your actions. I think Steam has a demo available, so try it out before buying.
  6. This is exactly what I was talking about in my previous post! Very nice!

  9. Yes, absolutely. They left so much potential out for the freeroam. There are less enterable buildings than in IV (no fast-foods, no hospitals etc.), and generally in many places of the map I've found myself thinking: "Ok, here I am. Why isn't there anything to do here?"... Paleto Bay, for example. I mean, they build a small town on the other end of the map that you can only reach after a long drive and there is not a single enterable building? Seriously? (There is one there for a mission, but that is locked afterwards) Also, that the only enterable bar is right in the middle of the desert is kinda lame, especially when they've fully modeled Tequi-La-La but for some reason decide to shut it down after one side mission as well... Agreed, the main story felt too short. IV had somewhat 80 missions with one main character, and V has 70 for three main characters. No wonder it felt rushed. For the map, as I've written to ineseri: Yes, it looks awesome, but in my opinion there is so little to do in so many places... And personally, I think that is because of GTA Online: In my opinion, they focused way too much on the multiplayer and left the singleplayer short of what it could have become. For example, there is a video on youtube that shows a fully modelled enterable Bank in Los Santos, sitting there and waiting for the heist missions to be implemented. I mean, come on, R*! You get famous for awesome singleplayer games and now you actually have extra map content for multiplayer? To be clear: I wouldn't mind extra stuff for GTAO if the singleplayer dind't feel so... empty at times.
  10. That is awesome! I've been hoping for something like this, but given the fact that V hasn't even been announced for PC yet, I thought it would still take some time... Since I'm running the original vehicles now both for performance and for the right atmosphere, it's cool to have modern-looking cars that fit right in the R* universe. Also, I'm very happy with the fact that they are non-ELS, I have to admit. However, I guess I'll wait with getting them until there are the correct LCPD and NOoSE liveries to go with IV's setting - and maybe even a version of the Vapid with an LCPD style lightbar. The original lightbar is a perfect fit for the NOoSE cruiser though.
  11. I did search the forums a bit and found the thread: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> It's called "ELS Dot Net". Sam's last post in the topic is from October 2013 and, as I guessed, saying that the project's on hold because he's busy with 1.0
  12. Wasn't Sam at some point working on a non ELS LED script/mod? I don't remember the name, but there is a topic about it around somewhere... There is even a trailer out, although Sam said there was a lot of work still needing to be done before release. Since I'm a fan of LED lights but can't stand the ELS door bug, it did catch my interest at that time, but I guess he's been to busy with the work on 1.0...
  13. That is awesome! Seriously, considering you guys are doing all this for free in your spare time, and that GTA isn't exactly the most mod-friendly game out there, this is one of the most awesome modifications I've seen so far! Keep up the great work!
  14. I've always been more of a reader than a writer (if you take a look at my postcount), but still I'm a regular visitor to this site and enjoy browsing the forum with so many nice people on here. This is in my opinion a really nice and friendly community that is always eager to help newbies and shows good >humour at times. Merry christmas everybody!
  15. While this is a nice thing to do from R*, as somebody who a) doesn't have a lot of time right now and b) prefers singleplayer over multiplayer (not only here, but generally), I would have appreciated more if they had also added this to SP and possibly included an option to switch between the snowy and regular versions of the map. AC3 gave you exactly that option after you finished the storyline.
  16. I do have to say though, that in my opinion, the police are a little too good at ramming you off the road. No matter what car I'm in, they ALWAYS manage to catch up to me and spin me out real nice. It doesn't matter if I'm driving a family van or an Obey 9F, cops will catch up in 9 out of 10 cases. Even when I steal a cop car (so I am in the EXACT SAME VEHICLE) and go full speed on an open road, the cops will still catch up to me and ram my car. You know, at first I also thought "Hey, awesome!", but know I've got the feeling that R* programmed the cops so that they would always catch up with you disregarding the actual speed you are going. Such rubberband AI has always annoyed me in racing games, and now it's probably in V.
  17. That's some cool stuff! Being able to change the background is definitely a nice addition if you use cars from another agency and not the LCPD.
