Question regarding Xbox Live

Featured Replies

Hello everybody,

does anybody know if changing the Microsoft account that is connected your Gamertag will affect your bought DLCs etc.? I.e., will you still be able to use or redownload them?

I actually do trust MS to make it work without a problem, but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask beforehand.

Thanks in advance.

I'd ask Microsoft about it. I'm not sure.

Well, googling it brought up a tutorial on how to do the change from xbox.com with no mention whatsoever of losing any DLC, so I'm guessing that's kind of a confirmation that it will work flawlessly. I just figured by the time I've finished typing a mail to MS asking them to specify, I'd have gotten a bunch of answers here already^^ Also, the support hotline is closed on weekends...

I don't think so, as long as you don't create a new gamertag, the DLC's will still be there.

The DLCs bought are linked to the gamertag. So if you asre saying your going to change your gamertag or e-mail, then no you will not loose them,

That's what I thought as well. Thanks guys.
