Sam's from the UK, and that's how we format dates

Modding makes the game, I started playing GTA with Vice city, but started playing with mods in IV and have bought IV and V several times across the platforms. Yeah! Ah my understanding of the ancient langues can finally come into play.

Welcome to the community, Don't let the posts of the few outweigh the more thoughtful posts of the many.

ELS Controller Support
As far as I know by default 'B' changes the sirens on the controller. Check the controls in the ELS documentation and your INI.

Sadly I'm not sure cringe is a factor in their moderation

Pssst you're not supposed to mention the secret days after the end of February, most people only think its 28!

At the moment, the only issue with the thread is the posts where people bring up the issues in the thread. The moderators have been monitoring the thread all day and have intervened when necessary, but until such a time where they deem it necessary to lock it it'll likely stay open so the best we can do is move on, rather than posting a horde of posts stating peoples opinions on the thread.

PC Spec Recommendations - GTA5
Hey, Welcome, You're gonna have to give at least a hint of budget, as it's pretty difficult to define breaking the bank if we don't know what the boundaries are. Do you have a system already to upgrade or is this new? Provide as much info as possible, what you've already considered and what your expectations are.

Ultimately I can't speak for LMS but from my experience developing a project is an enjoyable passtime when it goes to plan. And a degree of enthusiasm for the project is always a plus. If it had been for profit we'de have been paying for this mod years ago.

It won't break the game itself, but yes you may find yourself having to wait for your favourite plugins to be updated, there's no official mention of the scope of changes to the API but going off the magnitude of changes there's likely to be some updates.

I think its only a small majority who've had this notion, but hopefully your post will clear up the matter and put that to bed.

Possibly just prepping some documentation.

You'll find this post to be a most enjoyable read. Not a direct RDE replacement, but the customisation is immense.

The hope is that experience of 0.4 will be a tad more 'complete' than the release of 0.3, as has been stated by Sam, the 0.3 was a rush to completion whereas 0.4 has been a planned development with an emphasis on features that should have been implemented already, the so aptly named "how have they not added this" features. A lot of the mods we rely on to add new features will likely become Incorporated into the core mod such as grabbing peds, RDE, search etc etc and i definitely think the core experience will be a great deal more playable than standalone 0.3 was on release.

No misinterpretation I understand what you're saying completely. We know they're on it through the announcements. What would be amazing to see is a Trello/Kanboard but this would require the team to go completely open about features before they're implemented which I'm not sure if they prefer this style of development.

I agree with where you're coming from, it would be nice for that reassurance, but I think they genuinely cannot provide it, when you're face deep in ironing out bugs and staring at the same methods wondering where the hell it's broken you can't come out from that and say it'll definitely be on track.

Whilst I agree that there's no point in complaining its not out yet, I disagree that the team are simply biding their time to generate revenue. I'm not sure there's an exact way of measuring but I'm willing to bet a great deal of users have adblock installed regardless. A lot of people simply want to engage with others whilst they wait. I don't doubt the integrity of the staff here and I'm sure if an issue arises they'd rather tell the community than lead them on. It will come out, and if not there's a damn good reason why it isn't. It only takes the smallest amount of experience developing something to know how a set back can affect many things.

But it is soon to release, this has been a good year or so in the making, and a matter of days left to wait is nothing in comparison.

LSPDFR 0.4 - Coming February, 2019
There's no fixed release date because there's likely work still being done, touchups etc. As has been mentioned by @Cyan users are more than welcome to wait it out for social media announcements. People choose to come to this website, if its a personal issue for you and you think you're being used for ad revenue, close the page 🙄

The thread blew up a bit and not entirely in the right direction I won't quote as there's far too many posts. The development team work hard, for free, to put something they've spent time on out there for us to play. For all I care they can announce a date in the coming century for release. The reason in my eyes that they have given a timeframe is to get the community to a place where they can enjoy the new features of the mod after having waited a little whole for them to appreciate them more. But more importantly it allows the dev team, in fact no calling them a dev team dehumanises the guys working on this and makes it seem like it's their job, more time to make changes and fixes if something's not up to their standards and to avoid disappointment if they miss a fixed date. We have to remember that as excited as we are, and believe me I'm excited too, these are people who wake up in the morning and do this essentially free of charge. Whilst you're 100% free to share your thoughts on the matter of a release date, bear the above in mind before drawing a conclusion as if the guys were faceless entities at some large company.

You think this is good pc for lcpdfr
Having a 1060 is much better than nothing, however you may want to compare the 1060's specs to something like a 980, as i remember reading a while back that you don't notice a performance increase between the two models until a 1070 (citation needed). You'll also want to check that the i5 is a fairly capable model. Two websites I recommend for parts research: http://cpuboss.com/ http://gpuboss.com/

The joys of watercooling!

LSPDFR 0.4 - Coming February, 2019
I would definitely stick with the new one, never been one to trust a break with a water cooling solution, ordered an AIO once and sent it back twice due to residue all over the pump on unboxing.

Personally wouldn't run the risk, especially if they already have a replacement inbound!
