  1. Echo, navigate to common/data/images.txt, scroll to the bottom of that file and ensure the twoninersix line is not there.
  2. Note the above! I also want to point out here that if you turn Resist Arrest on and you get into a melee struggle with a person, there's a chance their health will be restored. This is intentional behaviour and is NOT a bug. It'd be a very very rare occurance if someone was to be beaten to death in real-life. I also disliked the fact you could punch or baton someone to death so quickly. So feel free to deploy your baton realistically - where subjects are aggressively resistant or posing a threat - to obtain compliance.

You do not have my permission to distribute this elsewhere; it is only going to be available on LCPDFR.com. I trust everyone will adhere to this basic right to control how my work is distributed. Note: When you accept a call the incident will spawn and begin at the same time, meaning response times are critical. You may arrive on scene to someone stood in the road appearing to be doing nothing, when they may have in fact just killed someone moments before. Or the other person or persons involved may have already ran away or could be hiding near-by. Have a good look around the area in these instances and see what you can find out. Furthermore, each call has several different possibilities in regard to suspect behaviour. New showcase video thanks to Visible25 aka stealthman46: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTtlYqLaUKQ%5B/media%5D"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTtlYqLaUKQ A little about this mod This is a script mod which is intended to enhance the policing experience had from LCPD:FR. It does this by giving you many useful tools such as ordering people out of a vehicle to asking them to get back in and drive away to ordering people out of an area and breathalysing people (in a vehicle or on foot). The script also creates several random incidents around the city for you to police. With over thirty unique incidents there's plenty to keep your shifts busy. The script is intended for realistic roleplay, the new version does however include GPS routes for most calls. The interval between calls is random which means sometimes you'll be inundated and other times there won't be much going on. The script has a resist arrest option the purpose of which is to make effecting an arrest more challenging (and realistic). This means when you aim at a person (with a firearm, taser or baton) or use the E arrest (baton/firearm/taser) the resist arrest option will be triggered and the subject, based on several different factors (such as what you're doing, what they're doing, what you both have and health and the situation you're in) will either decide to comply with your orders, resist you or flee from you. If a person is armed, simply aiming at them with a firearm will result in a random chance they'll drop their weapon to the ground and raise their hands. 2.0 beta updates: -The script was re-written from scratch, credits go to forum member Jorge for assisting me with the script's layout. -The new version includes a multi-player option which should make multi-player significantly more stable than the previous version. -The resist arrest option has been toned down to a more tolerable level, it will also work in multi-player. -You can now decided to accept or decline an incoming call. -Calls have all been re-written from scratch so there are less of them at this time, but they should be more stable. -Everything about the script is randomised for greater re-playability. -You should hear a noise when a call comes through (sometimes it will play a police radio message) and they will remain on screen until either: You accept or decline the call or they code 4. New calls shall be added in due course. With this script mod I aim to bring you that much closer to real life policing. Features Roads Policing features Stop vehicles (other vehicles will not attempt to overtake) Wave single stopped vehicles on or allow all stopped vehicles to move Breathalyser with either a UK or US setting (if someone's over the limit, there's a chance they'll try to flee) Order a person to step out of their vehicle (there's a chance they'll refuse, try to drive off or try to run away) Order a person to return to their vehicle and resume their journey General Policing features Order a person to leave the area (there's a chance they'll refuse, use this for disturbance related calls (drunkards, causing annoyance etc)) Breathalyse on foot Resist Arrest (Note with this on if you're in a melee fight with a person there's a chance their health will be restored - this is intentional and NOT a bug. It'd be a very very rare occurance if someone was to be beaten to death in real-life) Extra incidents Attempt to throw a person to the ground I would also like to invite those who enjoy my (hard!) work the opportunity to support me via donation by clicking here (I only offer this as I've had some very generous individuals approach me and offer a donation, I had no means of accepting such an offering until now). KNOWN ISSUES Please ensure you read over these before submitting any bugs to me. -The ambulance assistance has been removed due to instability, however there exists a chance the script may spawn an ambulance to respond to injured persons. If this occurs, the script may crash. -You cannot LCPD:FR pull-over cars spawned by the script. -Calls showing as code 4 is not a bug, this occurs when your game cannot - for one reason or another - spawn the incident (perhaps too much going on on-screen, try again in a quieter area) -The Shoplifting incident has not yet been implemented. The old showcase videos follow:
  4. Like Visi said there is no option to force a call, I'm reluctant to add one too. SHIFT+DEL and ALT+DEL will not force a call, they have no bearing on how the incidents are created except from removing them completely or just the markers. I still have a few things I want to script before release; they shan't take long.
  5. It'll be released today, I would give it until around 2200 GMT+1 at the earliest. I'm still doing some final touch ups and adjustments. Not be default, no. I find it more realistic to have an idea of where the incident is taking place as opposed to a direct path to follow straight to it. Of course, if you want to hit pause and set a marker, that's your prerogative.
  6. I tried this and either LCPD:FR crashes before you spawn or the game freezes up and refuses to load. I think it has something to do with different versions of the scripthook being used. I did once manage to get LCPD:FR to work after I spawned, but only momentarily. I also tried LCPD:FR 0.91 and experienced the same issue. It's a shame really.
  7. I'm going to quote a portion of a PM I sent to Visible here as I think the information will be useful for everyone: The pushing of the player is not a bug per se; the fact they can push you to the ground 10 feet away or whilst not facing you is the bug. My intention was to mimic the subject almost overpowering you and you struggling to restrain them, allowing them to escape or fight with you. The only probable (and visual) way to do this is to remove control from the player for a few seconds and push them over, I thought it was quite a nice effect. Sometimes you will be pushed over and fall onto the suspect, as if you've rugby tackled them. The probability of all of this has been lowered though - as in my PM above. I want to ideally add a dispatcher sound to each call from the game, but I'm having difficulty getting it to work at the minute. I would very much like to put the text elsewhere on the screen however I simply don't know enough on how to do that. I'll keep investigating and perhaps a future version will have this implemented. I would also like to have a little box appear with some further call information. I like the idea of having stamina for the peds, I may try to add that. Consider what I said in my PM above, a lot of the time people will be rushed with adrenaline and can sprint for miles. Not everyone will sprint this way, it seems to be dependant of their character model though. EDIT: Forgot to mention - if you have LCPDFR cuffed a suspect and they resist, you can still finish the handcuffing or re-cuff them or simply fight with them until they comply and they'll follow you once again. Might I also add simply aiming at someone with a gun has a greater chance of compliance (if they have a weapon they'll more likely drop it, too). Aiming at a person with a baton will also trigger the resist/flee/comply decision. And of course using the E (at gun point or baton) arrest will do it too. Keys are all customisable in the .ini file. I will add an option to lower the calls distance. Release will be later on tonight.

  9. That is out-with the scope of the first release of the script. I may look at trying to add that in but no promises, the A.I would have to be faked and it would take quite a bit of work.
  10. There certainly will be options in the .ini file to chose what you want to turn on/off.
  11. Have added random drivers using their mobile phone. The only problem is the peds refuse to keep driving so this unfortunately means they'll stop before doing the talking on the phone animation, there doesn't appear to be a driving-while-talking animation either so the ped's feet will stick out the bottom of the car. Best I could do.
  12. Please note: our new website (located at www.lc-police.com) is still under construction, see the old website in the interim: here LCPD is not currently recruiting Police Officers at the rank of Probationary Officer, we're still in the process of planning and preparing how the group will operate within the constrains of the game. The purpose of this post is to identify and make contact with potential members whom possess leadership qualities. We are looking for a few persons to join us at a senior rank to assist in the running and managing of the group, we're still in the planning stages so those who join us are more than welcome to contribute their ideas. If you are interested in joining at a senior rank please send out a PM to myself, jacko999 and rushlink with a little about you and why you'd like to join. Our requirements are: Teamspeak with a working microphone/headset; GTA:EFLC and at least 18 years of age. (Those of a younger age may apply if they regard themselves as 'mature'). A bit about the LCPD After a lot testing and due deliberation we have decided that report writing will not be a mandatory part of our group, officers will be welcomed to use our (quicker and simpler) MDC (due to be linked to the LCPD:FR MDC, you'll also get a fancy status on the LCPD:FR MDC) to create reports and file appropriate paper-work. There will not be a need for this but it will be encouraged for any in-game incidents of which follow-up roleplay could be had thus increasing the enjoyment for all of our officers. But again I stress to you that should you join our ranks; you will not be forced to do any form of paperwork. Serious and realistic roleplay is what we are all about, the group has real-life officers and we are all enthusiastic and passionate about roleplaying realistically, properly and in-line with real procedures and policies. We have an age restriction of 18+ simply because we are all adults and would prefer to play alongside other adults. It goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway) that we will have a mess around now and again for a little bit of fun, we could even set-up a session on another game and play together. Predominately we want to have fun but like I said we're all about serious roleplay. If this isn't your cup of tea; you need not apply. We use the game Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City (EFLC) more specifically the Ballad of Gay Tony episode. Please ensure you have this game set-up and able to run online multi-player before you consider making contact. We do have some car and uniform modifications all set-up, they are all subject to change if need-be. We also have members capable of scripting thus we plan on some LCPD exclusive scripts to enhance our shifts. If it's realistic policing you're looking for and you feel you have leadership qualities and could actively contribute to our operation, please consider membership with the Liberty City Police, you'll be glad you did! Thank you for your time.
  13. The following ENB is the one I use and highly recommend, it makes your ENB lights look phenomenal:
  14. It didn't cross my mind because I want my mod to be as realistic as I can make it. Thus incidents will be generated at random intervals. There is the option to set yourself to not available and no calls will be generated.
  15. If you haven't already done so I would remove the keys completely (option= ) for any options which malfunction.
  16. Of course how did that slip my mind! I'll see if I can add that. No testers required at the minute, I have one person testing it for just now (and making a showcase video too).
