  1. I'm a fan of christmas tree police cars too, and I'm using bugz's unmarked tahoe currently. It has lights all over the car, and it has a really nice pattern: http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1581
  2. It looks very nice, but what's with the rear lights? They seem different then the other crown vics (I mean the tail lights, not the lightbar) Anyway thanks for making it, it looks nice so far.
  3. Nah it's definately not that, timecyc mod can only make the reflections stronger. Actually this way it's easier to see the bug. Visualsettings.dat only adjusts the brightness of the lights, so not that either.
  4. Imo the Impala uses the same lights for indicators as for hazards, since I haven't seen a car that has different indicators and hazards. Anyway I gotta say +1 for a new LAPD vic, bugz's is pretty good, but it has a few quite weird bugs. Also this is what I meant with the material bug. I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this, but half of the body paint seems matte: And the 2008 rims with the hubcaps look a bit bigger then the one they use. But the main problem is with the paint. In the meantime thanks for all your mods, they are great :D
  5. Yeah sure, I'll give it a try. If I'm not mistaken I have a G8 handling lying somewhere.
  6. Wow thanks, I never thought of that. I always used SparkIV. I hope it won't mess up the texture alignment on the car though. Ontopic: So any chance for you to fix the materials on the LAPD Gang Unit crown vic? Or can we expect more LAPD vehicles from you? EDIT: Just a small bug I noticed with the 2006 generation Impala, that the rear indicators are in the place where the reverse lights are and they should be the tail lights, like in this video: (3:29 for rear indicators)
  7. Primary lights are: extra1 - extra4 Wig-Wags are: extra5 - extra6 Secondary / Traffic adivsors are: extra7 - extra9
  8. All your mods are pretty nice, but I noticed that your .wtds are quite large. Sometimes there are duplicated textures, and sometimes they are way too big, so in future releases is it possible to keep down the size of the .wtds? I'm asking for this because usually when I install a 2 MB + .wtd, I get texture disappearing bug a lot more easier (even on medium textures)
  9. Actually I think I managed to get it right in that last one. Wail has that higher pitch just like in the video, same for yelp, it's a lot better. See for yourself in game. Also it doesn't matter it's still the same siren from the outside. Simply outside it's louder, since the speakers are outside. And doppler effect is simply that if a car using sirens coming towards you, the sound will keep changing, depending on how far the vehicle is. We can ignore this effect, since the camera is placed behind the vehicle, and we're not bystanders (unless we're in cinematic camera)

  11. Same source Lt.Caine made it from. Just compare the sirens with the real FS Smart Siren, and you'll see it's not exactly the same. I heard FS doesn't put up it's sirens for download, just something similar, so that people can't steal their sirens. EDIT: Here's a video showing how the sirens sound: EDIT2: Breakthrough! I managed to modify Ofc.Chad's sound samples and I got this: http://speedy.sh/r4SQu/HORNS.ivaud It's still not perfect, but let me know what you think. From those samples that's the best I could do.
  12. I think I'm quite sure I'll make one for the Bearcat, but not sure about the XF-R and the Z06. We'll see. EDIT: Lenco Bearcat has been released and can be found on the 1st page in the 3rd comment of mine.
  13. Yeah LAPD probably uses FS Smart siren, however the one Lt.Caine released is not exactly what the siren sounds like. Hell it's not even an FS Smart Siren. Also LAPD only uses wail, and they use yelp when crossing an intersection. If I ever manage to make sounds more loud, I'll release a proper FS Smart Siren.
  14. Sorry I don't really know if you take requests, but from what I read here, it seemed like it. So how about a 2008+ LAPD Crown Vic? Arjent lightbar 2008+ rims with hubcaps. Pretty much the same thing that bugz made, however his car has a few bugs, which he really doesn't wanna fix. If you don't take requests ignore my post :D

  17. Well yeah why not. It should be like the suburban, only with a few changes. EDIT: Tahoe handling's been released, it's in the first post.
  18. I don't really understand what you mean, but what you can do with handling.dat and vehicles.ide is, you create a brand new line called "ASTONV12" in handling.dat, and then you open vehicles.ide and rewrite the "handling name" into "ASTONV12", then the game will use that handling you have after "ASTONV12" for the car you added that handling name.
  19. No, I said that it could be your vehicles.ide That bug you explained to me sounds like the game is missing the car's handling file, and that's what causing it. But I really don't know. It can be in the handling.dat as well like I said, if you misnamed something, like you wrote POLICEE instead of POLICE etc.
  20. Any new updates? Also if you could fix your LAPD Gang Unit CVPI (the unmarked one), I'd appreciate it. The bug is weird, it's like half of the car has reflection, while the other half doesn't.
  21. Yeah vehicles.ide, and just because it's pushed in like that, that won't change anything.
